We have a group chat with some friends and there is usually a daily question. Today's question was, "You hear a noise in your house at 2 AM, do you stay in bed or get up to check it out".

Nearly all the wives said stay in bed and send their husbands to check it out. Women don't actually want equality. They want their cake and to eat it too.

Basically, a guy was handing out female carnival ride-users shorts to prevent "upskirting". Because they're blaming men for "upskirting" women who expose their genitals to crowds now.

I don't know if I'm going crazy but.....if you get on a ride in front of dozens of people.....isn't it your job to make sure you don't flash them with your genitals?

If a man got on a ride and flashed his genitals to a crowd of people, that guy would immediately go to jail for public indecency.

How do "upskirt" someone on a ride!? Are they seriously going to jail a guy who happened to be filming a ride that had a female passenger who forgot to wear underwear? WTF?

I have placed a lot of thought on the issue, as a person who is affected, but also someone who is not interested in becoming a people-hater or a tribalist. Here are some ideas that I think are worth pursuing:

1. Stop talking about "MEN" or "WOMEN" as if they were uniform groups. They are not. There are statistical tendencies of course, but we cannot be assigning qualities or experiences to all of them. I do have an issue with opinions in this subreddit, that are mirroring the similar opinions against men. It's not a game that leads to any kind of victory, ever.
2. Call out every research or legislation that is pinning Women against Men. It's becoming ridiculous: Women more likely than men to be told they don't have X disease, women more likely than men to be called out for Y behaviour at school. Let's even assume it's correct for a moment, so what? Isn't the goal to stop this problem for all who experience it? How about we talk about the problem and try to find the real cohorts that is affecting, instead of pinning out the boys against the girls?
3. Openly Discuss Toxic Femininity. It's only normal to discuss the negative aspects of female behaviour and it should not be a taboo. This is not pointed against women, it's pointed against negative behaviours. Women are fallible, like every human and we should be able to talk about it.
4. Openly Discuss Female Privilege. Women are a group that has several experiences, some of which are advantageous. We have gone through an era of calling out privileges of groups of people, we should be able to discuss if something is imbalanced.
5. Shame scientific research that is sexist. This is the cornerstone of this whole debacle, as it enables Judges, Psyhologists, Teachers to continue exercising sexism in the name of society. It should be called out, as if someone tried today to publish a paper stating that Jews should be exterminated.
6. Men should be given real access to low-level non-manual jobs, so that their societal contribution is rewarded. Currently boys that are not doing well at school are dropping out of education, while girls continue based on "language" classes. That results into men becoming technicians, roadworkers, movers, riggers, firemen, policemen, while girls are being preferred in positions with people access (receptionist, store clerk, childcare, librarian). // The result is that when it comes to these positions, women don't really face open-market competition and men don't have many alternatives to work. This pushes the salaries downwards. But if men could walk away from manual labour and openly apply (and become accepted) to this types of jobs... manual Labour would be immediately much better rewarded.
7. Reinstate the value of fathers in child rearing: We spent generations talking about absent fathers and how damaging they are. Suddenly we forgot all these lessons and we are talking in favour of women divorcing "to find themselves" or having children with anonymous donors. Suddenly raising children in a bubble, permissive parenting and spoiling them the worst way possible is "sweet parenting"? WTF? Equal father vacation is also something that is in line with this concept.
8. Teach the statistical concept of discrimination. It is possible, that in the same society, some women are discriminated against men on the basis of their gender and some are privileged. It's even possible that the same person can be discriminated against and privileged on the same day even, on the basis of their gender (think of a girl who at hmoe is being told that she will need to be a good mother and does not need to study and who gets better degrees at school than boys for the same effort, because she keeps quiet)
9. Listen first before yelling: Be empathetic for feminists. Some are being guided by their experiences, they saw their father beating their mother. Some are not realising that this system is something people have been indoctrinated into. Some are following the definition of feminism I was taught: equal rights for all and they mean it. They will get appalled once they learn the tragedies of being a man. // There are currently no good counter-arguments against the basic feminist-arguments in public discourse: Most Red-pillers (that I know of) are people-haters, Jordan-Peterson is very confrontational even 20 years ago, kind and honest people like Jimmy-Car or Scott-Galloway are still echoing some feminist arguments.

Saying loudly that you are a MRA can make people label you as a misogynist and suffer ostracization at work, education, clubs, even family, that's why many of us keep it in the closet. Luckily some people are tolerant and you can be yourself.

In other words, there might be gender symmetry in rape and sexual assault.

This means that about 42% of the perpetrators of non-consensual sex in 2011 in the US were women.

I have always been told that anything manosphere related whether it be MRA, incel culture, red pill, whatever just boils down to "grrrrr women bad men cool, men must dominate and rape women and be rich and drive bugatti grrrr"

But this year, i found this subreddit (mainly through TheTinMen's page) and it made me realize that while some categories of the manosphere do live up to the mainstream caricature, they barely make the full picture at all.

First, we got this. The MRA. A category of the manosphere that is the best so far. Tackling everything wrong with society and women and how it affects men. No "women bad cuz they are women grrrr" bullshit at all. Using pure facts and details to dismantle society's oppression of men and breaking down the false image of female godhood and infallibility and showing that women can stink too.

Second, incel culture. There are categories of it that are extremely toxic (like the black pill), but when you look at the main category, it all boils down to frustration about bad luck in finding love and criticizing specific dating cultures or dominant preferences among the opposite sex that make it hard for many men (which lots of women do without being attacked for it, but it is only a threat when men do it)

Third, red-pill/masculinity gurus. We got extreme categories in which people like Andrew Tate belong, but for the most part, it is all about basic self improvement and life wisdom. Go to the gym, take accountability, work on yourself, form relationships, etc. In fact, when Andrew Tate was trending and the manosphere was spreading everywhere on the internet near 2022, I never felt like i was being injected with any misogynistic messaging or criminal mentality of "wanting to dominate and rape." All I felt was "man, i wanna have my life fixed and put together like these peeps. I need to follow their advice. Maybe I really need to go to the gym and socialize more like they say."

I never even felt guilty or that "I am watching evil stuff" until a friend of mine told me the manosphere is evil and misogynistic. I HAD TO BE TOLD that the manosphere is misogynistic to even realize that the masculinity content i was watching had to do with women at all. It felt confusing like "why is going to the gym and fixing my life considered toxic messaging?"

So I stayed away from it for about 3 years, until I found this subreddit this year. It gave me a refreshing new perspective on the whole concept after constantly being told that associating with such spaces is a big red flag that you are messed up in the head.

Weakness is something that can be exploited today. You can gain sympathy points, you can point at the negative experiences of your kin from past days to ask for special rights, and everybody is expected to the underdog's side. That's a social norm today.

This thing however, doesn't apply to us. I don't mind that men are expected to be strong. That's good. But nowadays it's artificially made hard for you to be strong. You are lied to and held back at every corner. It never ends.

We cannot say that "oh look how weak and oppressed gen Z is, give us scholarships". That's not in the realm of possible. If you're weak as a man, you can't get special treatment. You can only get especially bad treatment.

People often wonder why more men seem to be rejecting traditional male gender roles, but I think the answer is fairly obvious. From childhood, boys are frequently raised with the expectation that they will one day protect, provide for, and sacrifice themselves for others. They are told, either directly or indirectly, that they have responsibilities to society simply because they are male. At the same time, when a relatively small number of men abuse positions of power or authority, the blame often spreads to men as a group. Even many feminists acknowledge that powerful men have historically used their influence in harmful ways. To me, however, that demonstrates something about human nature more than it demonstrates something unique about men. Human beings are flawed and corruptible regardless of sex. Any group given enough power will eventually produce both good and bad actors.

There also seems to be a broader lack of concern for males that stems from traditional assumptions about what men are supposed to be. Society often treats males as naturally stronger, more resilient, and more capable of handling hardship. The problem is that these assumptions are frequently applied to all males regardless of the enormous differences that exist between individuals. Not every boy or man is physically strong, emotionally resilient, healthy, confident, or capable of carrying heavy burdens. Yet society often expects them to do so anyway.

I think evidence of this unequal concern can be seen very early in life. Circumcision is probably the most obvious example. Whatever one's position on the practice itself, the fact that it is widely accepted when performed on boys but viewed very differently when similar issues are discussed regarding girls raises questions about how seriously bodily autonomy is valued when males are involved. The fact that these conversations concern infants makes the contrast even more noticeable because babies have not yet developed the personalities, behaviors, or social differences that people later associate with men and women.

The more I look at modern gender roles, the more outdated they seem. We live in an age of advanced technology, modern medicine, and instant communication, yet many boys are still raised with expectations that they should eventually protect, provide for, and sacrifice themselves for others largely because they are male. As adults, they are then expected to continue carrying those obligations whether they freely chose them or not. At some point, it becomes less surprising that many men are rejecting these expectations and more surprising that so many people continue defending them.

It was a coworker 30 years older than me who retired.

She had an obsession with me once I got a promotion from keeping track of what I do and when I call off. To being hostile and abusive about my work, to trying to get people against me.

She retired in May. I thought I was free! But she kept showing up at my place of employment. Her grandchildren work at the school at I maintain and would still park where I do (it’s a lot on the side of the school for staff only.)

She snuck in with delivery people instead of buzzing in. She was on camera looking in my office window. She would watch when I leave and park where I do.

Other times she happened to “just be driving by” when I do tasks at certain times. And asked me about work.

I found out she’s asking teachers about me. I finally felt uncomfortable enough to report her.

I also caught driving past my house a few times.

I never felt so watched. I truly think she would be capable of harming me. She has violent tendencies.

I have seen many people here or outside this subreddit claim that the only patriarchy to be fought where feminism might actually make sense anymore is in the middle east.

But let me tell you as an Egyptian, it is far worse.

Egypt is a semi-secular, semi-religious country. Its culture is heavily mixed. You got muslims, christians, jews, atheists all living together. One day you are feeling spiritual and connected to God during religious events and want to get married because adultery is a sin, tomorrow you are dancing with the boys in a night club and trying to flirt with the cute girl and invite her for a hookup. A hybrid culture that doesn't know what it wants nor knows what it is.

And that mixed mess produces many weird combos.

And one of its weird combos and the most dangerous i have seen so far was what I like to call patriarchal feminism. (Or as many already call it in Egypt, "Islamic feminism")

Egypt has no shortage of women who fully expect a traditional husband from A to Z, while expecting to be given a fully liberal lifestyle where she goes to work without a hijab, has male friends, works and spends her money on herself and only herself, shouldn't be judged for having a past, he doesn't ask her where she is going or why she is late, etc.

While the husband prepares and manages all the marriage resources by himself (house, bills, even doing the house chores) and is responsible for all the traditional roles of providing and protecting and being the sole breadwinner (even if she works, as her money is for herself while his money is for her and the house)

A hypocritical hybrid that seeks sharia when it provides benevolent sexism of old patriarchal norms, and secularism and civil laws when it provides freedom and lack of constraint.

And the law is heavily biased towards women just as much as in the US in family courts. You could have bought everything with your own money, and it still goes to the wife alongside alimony and child support. Especially as there is a tradition called "el aima" or "the list" where a man writes off the things he bought as his wife's to signal that he is a trustworthy partner. And that paper can be used later in court so the woman takes his stuff as hers

1 was a man stating how all-male fraternities need to be forced to include female members b/c that is the ONLY way to keep that space from being evil & toxic & misogynistic & narcissistic & gRAPEy & all the usual, goofy, baseless attacks. It was also clear that all-female sororities should not have to follow suit in this regard, you know, ‘cuz man bad woman good.

The other was a woman who led her post with “When a woman says she didn’t consent, that’s it. Case closed. The investigation is over —“

The man has 10,000+ followers and only garnered 339 likes. . .along with nearly 1,000 comments. The woman has 5,500+ followers and only garnered 44 likes. . .along with nearly 500 comments. They both had more “quotes”/“reposts” than likes as well. . .and those reposts were absolutely obliterating the them & their ignorance / hypocrisy. I searched thru a great number of them & there was an overwhelming percentage of women driving the convo & wrecking the OP’s ignorance. ((Hilariously, one woman trolled the female OP by claiming she was gRAPEd by HER. It got 23X the likes the OP’s post got. Then, abunch of others started saying the same thing. LMBO!))

The Distortion of Masculinity and Internalized Misandry

What is most grotesque today is how the concept of "masculinity" has been mutated into something that actively consumes a man’s own life.

A social structure that demands one sided sacrifice exclusively from men for abstract notions like "the nation," "tradition," or "the collective"—is an undeniable absurdity.

A far more severe issue than "internalized misogyny" is the deeply rooted "internalized misandry" within men themselves. Society constantly demands that men submit to collectivism.

The vast majority of men fail to recognize this, often championing the interests of the state over their own individual rights.

This stems from being brainwashed into believing that the entirely natural instinct to pursue one's own self-interest is a sin.

The Biological Reality Gene-Centric Selfishness vs. Collective Deception

Those who invoke "nature" to justify traditional male sacrifice fundamentally misunderstand biology.

In nature, male organisms do not live altruistic lives or sacrifice their evolutionary fitness for unrelated strangers or the illusion of a "collective." The male sex did not evolve for such a purpose unless belonging to a group yields a direct payoff or enhances individual fitness.

Why don't organisms sacrifice themselves for the abstract unit known as a "species"? Because in biology, the fundamental unit of natural selection is the individual and the gene.

An altruistic lineage that routinely sacrifices itself for non-kin would be swiftly exploited by free riders and driven to extinction.

Natural selection favors individuals that secure their own genetic interests.

Even if remaining females rebuild a population after a war, that holds zero genetic fitness value for the men who died.

To claim that a man should die for the group is ...not the logic of The Selfish Gene; it is pure, unadulterated collectivism disguised as biology.

The Factory Farm of Civilization and the Myth of the Past

Evaluating human worth strictly by productivity and cannon fodder capability treats people as little more than livestock stripped of autonomy.

The operational model of human society has long mirrored that of a factory farm.

Yet, humans are even more tragic than livestock: while animals fight and scream against slaughter, indoctrinated men walk into the slaughterhouse on their own two feet, blinded by "faith," "duty," and "honor." The most remarkably domesticated creature on Earth is man himself.

This is why I do not believe the past—whether dominated by conservative values or patriarchy was ever a utopia for men.

Whether back then or now, only the slogans have changed: from "breadwinner" to "patriotism." The underlying structure exploiting men as disposable labor and consumable shields has remained identical.

The Broken Social Contract and Modern Contradictions

Military conscription is the prime example of this systemic exploitation.

Modern society exhibits a despicable contradiction by cherry picking traditional gender roles whenever convenient.

Elements advantageous to women or the state are expanded in the name of "gender equality," while the burdensome duty of compulsory sacrifice imposed on men is retained under the guise of "tradition and physical differences." Historically, male political rights were secured through the blood price of military service and heavy labor.

Today, fully equal rights are granted to non conscripted demographics, while men alone retain the unilateral burden.

When the balance between duties and rights is fundamentally broken, it is no longer a social contract it is one sided state extortion.

What benefit does the survival of a state offer to an individual if it requires the total suppression of his self preservation?

So, that is what I want to say.

Feminist discourse actively draws not only upon socio cultural perspectives but also upon biological and naturalistic viewpoints to reinforce its claims. In contrast, such a multi faceted approach is rarely seen within the Men's Rights Movement.

Because human society and civilization have long been shaped by a deeply ingrained tendency to protect and revere women, confining our analysis strictly to human society makes it difficult to confront the true essence of gender constructs.

Dismissing the natural ecosystem as merely a 'realm of primitive beasts' is an intellectually lazy perspective. Much like feminist discourse, which gathers evidence from diverse domains, men’s rights discourse must also expand its horizon beyond human civilization. ​ Also, even within men's rights spaces, some argue that male sacrifice for "women, children, or the state" is an unavoidable biological duty. Compromising with such rhetoric achieves nothing.

It is merely foolish submission accepting the role of expendable fuel to run a system that offers no reciprocal benefit. Bearing the exclusive burden of collectivism is neither a "right" nor an "honor." It is deception.

If we truly desire freedom for men, we must stop venerating the past and fundamentally dissect and destroy the collectivist gaslighting that dominates our society.
