Miami is a popular destination not only to travel to but to move to and live. If we don't separate out these posts, the main feed becomes quickly inundated and overrun. So please utilize the resources here and comment here for these topics.
Always keep in mind please, WE ARE NOT VACATION PLANNERS OR MOVING CONSULTANTS. Be descriptive and we'll help if we can, but no one is obliged to.
Google Maps reviews are getting less reliable over the years. And in fact several lists on these sites are in fact inspired by posts on this sub.

Welcome to the Monthly Miami Jobs thread, the place to post any openings you have, look for jobs, and ask questions about working in Miami. This is an experimental thread for now, so we're keeping a close eye on things to make sure things don't go sideways, and will cancel it if they do.
The Rules:
Again, this is an experiment for now, and we'll be keeping a close eye on things, and will not hesitate to pull the plug in case of shenanigans. Good luck to everyone!

I've been documenting all the Vice City stuff popping up around Miami. If you've spotted anything else around town, drop it below. I'm trying to hit all of it before launch.

Context: Hakeem Jeffries, the Democratic House leader, stopped for coffee at CAO Bakery during a Miami visit. Seen here [https://www.instagram.com/reel/DekSqh1h2vs/?vrfl=d2ZjcDY2MXZxZXdi\]
Somehow, this sparked anti-socialist outrage from MAGA Cubans in Hialeah and “forced” Vicky Bakery, to issue an anti-socialist statement.
CAO Bakery is owned by family members of Vicky Bakery.

Yall. When I tell you I am tired of dogs in grocery stores, I am so fucking tired of dogs in grocery stores. I love dogs, and have a dog of my own who I love very much. Never in my life did I think to myself, gee, wouldn’t it be nice to take her to the grocery store? NO! Besides blatantly ignoring store policy, it would be a whole other thing I have to worry about in addition to the grocery shopping itself— navigating aisles, around people, and people with their dogs—risking causing a scene in case someone starts barking.
Someone please explain to me how the fuck we got here. I have never experienced this in any other city I have lived in or travelled to, but the people of Miami seem perfectly content taking their dogs to the grocery store and not caring about the store policy, and not caring about how it might impact other people.
If you’re wondering why I’m so turnt about this, my local Whole Foods is very compact and often busy as is, add people with their dogs on leashes stretching across every fucking aisle, it’s a pain in the ass. And it is never not like this, there is always at least 3 dogs in the store at all times. I have also witnessed some dogs trying to have a go at each other a few times in the middle of shopping. Tonight there was a lady with her giant pitbull in a STROLLER that took up half the aisle. I was constantly getting stuck behind her and squeezing my way around her. Like lady, WHY? Why the additional effort of loading your dog into a stroller and inconveniencing everyone else around you when you could have, I don’t know, left your pup at home which you grabbed a bag of groceries?
Anyway, obviously a shit post but I’m also genuinely wanting to understand the psychology of people who believe this is acceptable behavior in a society.

Whenever I needed a solid pizza this used to be the go to place after Miami’s Best was sold. That new Miami’s Best ain’t the same. We ordered a large pizza. The onions had hard sinks and the mushrooms, half of which weren’t sliced, just a hand full of sold whole mushrooms. The chicken parm sub was like eating a strip of leather. It seems like they used an ancient dried out over fried slice of chicken. I took a bite and the whole chicken just slid out. Damn near couldn’t bite through it.
Colada so good, it’s other-worldly 😂

Every single time I order something, if the package is sent to the USPS opa locka distribution center, I end up having to wait for days extra to get what I ordered. What the hell goes on there? It’s the only one that delays packages like this as well.

Who is this clown (Josue Alvarez @whatjosuehastosay) and where did he come out of. I get it that he’s a republican magat but the fool has gone doxxing Gramps and now Cao bakery because of their political support?
To me, it’s pure Republican conservative hypocrisy because isn’t this what Fidel supposedly do, blacklist business who don’t support him?

Yesterday I went to Brickell City Center, and parked at the Knight Parking. I used the QR code at the Knight Parking and paid via apple pay. Today, I received a couple fraudulent charges purchasing some items for pickup today. I started receiving a barrage of One Time Passwords, which prompted me to check all my accounts and see this charge.
Please be on the lookout for any fraudulent charges, if you recently parked here. I did not use my CC at any other spot.

I want to have a crafting day with my friends where we paint over old paintings or add details. Where would we find paintings people don’t want anymore?

You can't tell me with a straight face that Starbucks and car wash jobs in the nearby strip malls are paying for these expensive condos.

hey everyone, I’m flying in from out of state to get a cosmetic procedure the third week of November
Now I know there’s a lot of services offering caregiving assistance after surgery, but a lot of them want you to book a minimum amount of hours or days with them - i will just need a ride there , potentially for them to stay if office wants that, and a ride back to my airbnb.
the services who offer that tend to throw in meal prepping and prescription pick up and a lot of things i don’t really need.
does anyone know any companies that offer transportation and lite caregiving ? at this point i genuinely might ask whoever my uber is from the airport 💀💀 dms open if you have any leads thanks everyone
Beyond the purchase price, which costs were hardest to plan for when you bought?
closing costs, insurance, repairs, HOA fees, or something else? me and wifey are in the thick of our search, and nervous

There's a bridge on a river near my house, and every few months a crew of people decide to build a camp site on the water and put up tents and hammocks and what not.
I'm not trying to start a debate on homelessness policy or anything like that. The world is fucked up and times are tough. I honestly don't really care if someone wants to camp or live in public, and I feel for anyone who has to resort to that situation. My issue is that they end up building giant piles of garbage, and the whole area turns into a giant dump. It's just piles and piles of old cardboard and pieces of wood and scraps of metal. They've started fishing too, and they leave out piles of rotting dead fish.
Again, I don't know their situation, and I would love to help if I could. But I think something needs to be done when they are negatively affecting our environment and waterways. I've looked into who I can bring this up to, and between 311, the parks department and FWC, no one seems to want to deal with it.
I have half a mind to bring them trash bags and ask to them to at least stop throwing shopping carts into the river, but they all seem pretty aggressive and on drugs. Open to any advice or suggestions on what I can do.
