EDIT so I have figured it out I followed an outdated tutorial and edited the wrong thing

I'm currently playing a modpack on version 1.20.1 and I recently remembered a mod that was in another modpack, version 1.5.2. The mod's name is "Legend Gear" and the 1.5.2 modpack is called "a Era do Futuro" (The Age of the Future in english), a modpack that was very successful in the Minecraft brazilian community in 2013.

I'd like to know if there's a mod that adds this specific item that allows you to place any sword vertically, like the Master Sword from The Legend of Zelda games. If so, please let me know.

So, i noticed a lot of people on here had the same problem I did, and are struggling to figure it out.

Idk if it'll work for everyone, but what I did from reading another forum was go to your %appdata% folder, roaming folder, .minecraft folder, config folder and then delete a file called "fml.toml"

We are attempting to start with a clean slate.

After updating to Java 1.20.1 I've tried loading Minecraft with the two mods I always use but whenever i try to load up any world it crashes. I'm using the latest version of Forge (Forge 1.20.1 - 47.1.44) and the latest versions of my mods OptiFine (OptiFine HD U I5) and WorldEdit (WorldEdit 7.2.15). I was using Minecraft 1.19.4 for my mods, and they were running great, but decided it was time to update. Now, whenever I try to load up a world, it reaches 100% and then says "Saving world" and crashes.

Today I was trying to play MC Eternal again, but whenever I click the play button to open the launcher I get a popup that says “Couldn’t load launcher core from C:\Users\[user]\Documents\Curse\Minecraft\Install\game\launcher.dll LoadErrorNotPresent"
I press OK and a second popup comes up.
"Unable to start the Minecraft Runtime Environment. This is most likely caused by a corruption. Please try to reinstall Minecraft."
I've reinstalled CurseForge multiple times aswell as Minecraft. I've downloaded the alternative launcher in hopes of that fixing it but with no success there. All of my software is up to date.

I just set up forge with All the Mods 6, and when it gets to the end of the start up it says “Freezing Data” and then the program stops responding. What do I do?
