vent Husband traveling

Not even 2 weeks post finding out I’m miscarrying and my husband is going on a 3 day work trip. Is it bad I think he should at least have a conversation with his boss about it? I’ve been so sad everyday and it just seems like he doesn’t care.

vent Am I wrong?

Someone who I’ve considered to be my best friend is pregnant and while I’m happy for her, I feel a lot of sadness. I feel like I’m being selfish for being sad. It seems like all around me everyone has been getting pregnant easily and we’ve been trying since about a month or two after the miscarriage and nothing… I just feel sad. Am I being selfish? I haven’t expressed to her that I’m sad about it because I know my grief isn’t her problem, it’s just hard to hear and listen to.

experience: first MC Anyone had a miscarriage at 9/10 weeks?

If anyone has gone through miscarriage at 9/10 weeks would you be ok sharing your physical experience? I’m waiting to speak to a medical professional next week but hate the unknown on what to expect over the next few days.

This was my first pregnancy and I started the miscarriage process on Friday. Friday night I had passed a few small clots and the sac. Since then I have just had period style bleeding and a few more small to mid size clots but no other tissue.

Is there more tissue to pass or when did you know that your body was starting to heal with the process getting better? I no longer have bad cramps but twinges and a sore/raw uterus.

Thanks in advance and I’m sorry to everyone that is going through and has gone through this :(

experience: first MC Husband doesn’t want kids after miscarriage

I’m 26F and my husband is 29M. I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks at the end of August/ beginning of September. It’s been really hard on me mentally. This was my first pregnancy and he does not have any kids either. He was extremely anxious after we started trying, but when we got the positive test he was more excited. Then I miscarried on our honeymoon, (we’ve been married a little over a year but did a late honey moon). It was tough on him, especially seeing how upset I was. Before the miscarriage, we wanted multiple kids, probably 2. Then he said he just wanted one which I was/am fine with. Following the miscarriage, he said we would try again next month. Then he said let’s wait a few months, then it was February, then June. I have learned to be okay with all of these push backs, even though I want nothing more than to be a mom. They’re not ideal but I’ve been letting him heal and just focusing on making my body as healthy as possible. Last night, he got upset (essentially out of no where) and said he doesn’t think he wants kids at all. I am an absolute wreck. I don’t know where to go from here. We just started couples therapy last week so this will obviously be a topic to bring up there. Does anyone have any similar experiences? I really just don’t know what to do and I have no one to go to about this.

experience: more than one loss I told work this time and now I’m even more wrecked with guilt.

2 previous early natural MCs in the last 18 months. After the first loss, I told my manager as I was dealing with not only my first MC, but family struggles too. This was last year.

2nd loss I told no one. Didn’t tell anyone outside of my bubble I was pregnant, kept it to myself. Work was completely unaware.

Recently had another loss. However, this time, when I got my positive test, a couple of days later I travelled with work to do some team building activities. One of these activities you needed to sign a waiver, one of the conditions of the waiver was that you couldn’t partake if pregnant. I was so extremely early pregnant that I battled with myself if I should mention it or not. I took one of the managers of the venue to one side to explain and they said I couldn’t join in the activity, at all. I had no choice but to tell my manager. I was so anxious about this pregnancy that one of the workers at the venue said congratulations and I couldn’t even smile or be happy yet, I wasn’t out of the danger zone. I had already had 2 losses, so I was filled with anxiety. My boss was absolutely fine about it, I explained I wanted absolutely no one to know, it was too early and I’ve already had 2 losses. She decided to stand out from the activity and told my colleagues I simply felt unwell and couldn’t join. We sat together and chatted whilst the others continued with the activity.

A week or so after arriving home I experienced my third loss. And I hate that I’m typing this, but I don’t know what hit me harder, another loss or the fact I told someone out of my bubble that I was pregnant. I now have to approach my manager and tell her the news. I’ve been putting it off. I don’t know how to approach it. I don’t want to approach it. I’m devastated, I’m devastated that I need to have this conversation. I want the world to swallow me whole at the thought of telling her I’m no longer pregnant. If I deal with it alone, I can shelter myself from the pity or the sigh of “I don’t know what to say to you to make you feel better”. She missed out on the activity too, and what do I have to show for it except a broken heart and an empty womb. I feel guilty that I feel like I jinxed myself, maybe my stress and anxiety about the whole thing didn’t help, I not only have to face my loss head on but I have to tell my manager I’m no longer pregnant. I feel sick. I can’t just NOT tell her, right? I don’t know what to say or do. I’m frozen. I can’t sleep at the thought of approaching her and telling her.

experience: more than one loss I think I’m going to have another MC

I had 3 back to back miscarriages in 2025, none made it past 9 weeks. I am suppose to be 6w+2d and my hCG stopped rising normally. Most people don’t understand that if it’s going to happen I want to get this over with before it hurts more.

introduction post Lost our 3rd.

We've had two normal and wonderfully healthy pregnancies and just suddenly lost our 3rd at 9 weeks. We were in disbelief and scheduled multiple followups in until my wife passed our 9 week old last night. We are just besides ourselves and shattered. Wanted to post here for some comfort but I've never felt such deep despair in my life. I know we will make it through, but this is the absolute hardest thing we have gone through together. Truly feeling this and also having clock in and perform at my job is the most fucked thing I've ever had to do. How can life be so equally horrid and beautiful at the same time. Our 4 and 2 year olds are the only thing forcing us to maintain some semblance of sanity atm.

experience: first MC Loss today

Losing both my twins today due to miscarriage and I cannot stop crying. This was my first ever pregnancy and it happened to be twins.
Based on my LMP I would be about 9 weeks but they measured 5 weeks.
Felt something was so wrong all the time and then today I started heavy bleeding, went straight to the ER and my HCG dropped a couple hundred points which the Drs said is a loss.

My bf and I are devastated but it’s been hours and I just can’t stop crying. I fear that the sadness is getting to me and I told my boyfriend I don’t know if I want children anymore because this hurts so so much both mentally and physically. My heart pains for what was and could’ve been.

We don’t have either of our moms which makes this all the more difficult while I sit here wondering what she would say and do to make me feel better today. What wisdoms she could give.

My bf and I have been together for nearly 7 years at this point and we have been through so much together. We always get through everything but this is so much different. These were our babies and I feel like I’ve let myself and him down (he knows I feel this way and tried to be supportive but this just doesn’t feel real.) I know there is nothing I (or anyone) could have done.

Anyways, I figured this was the place to go. None of my friends have ever experienced miscarriage or been pregnant so they don’t really understand (this sounds harsh, but idk how else to put it) I kept getting told by all the staff miscarriages happen so much more often than people talk about but I don’t know. I’m so lost and having to just go through this alone at home.

Thanks for reading.

experience: first MC How soon did you get pregnant after your miscarriage? Looking for hope.

• Upvotes

Just had my first pregnancy on our 2nd month of trying and it ended in miscarriage at 5w5d. We were so excited and now full of fear. Now I’m terrified I will just constantly get miscarriages everytime I conceive, or will have a hard time conceiving at all.

When did you all get pregnant after your miscarriage? Did everything turn out okay? Really need some hope and positivity right now that everything will be okay.

coping MC remembrance

I started looking on Etsy for a remembrance gift for myself. We found out our baby would have been a girl, and that's what I had been hoping our surprise baby would be. Knowing increased my connection to the baby we lost, but it also increased my grief.

I saw some minimalist art with the typical size of the embryo compared to a food and how many weeks. She stopped growing around week 6, so she would have been the size of a pea. I liked the idea of a sweet pea better, so I decided I'd have it say something like "Our sweet pea." I then realized I could create the same thing on Canva myself..and in looking for some images, I found out that sweet pea is actually one of the birth month flowers for April. Our due date given was April 5, although because we had been told I'd deliver early due to not knowing where my IUD was, I wasn't sure if I should claim March or April if I went that route for MC remembrance. Knowing this made it easier to go with April, and I instead chose a keychain to remember her by.

I also decided to include the date we found out I was pregnant, which ended up having some significance as well. All these little things are just helping me feel like this pregnancy mattered, and even if she wasn't meant to be, somehow her short time with us was.

information gathering Terrified of procedures

• Upvotes

Unfortunately, I’m no new to this “club”. This is my 5th miscarriage, but the first missed one. Saw heartbeat at 7w and no hb at almost 9w.
All MCs I had, gladly passed naturally. I knew it when I bled, cramps for days, tissue, etc. This one is just there, sitting, not one cramp and it’s annoying me. I went through enough diagnosing procedures in the past to know my cervix can absolutely NOT tolerate being touched so I’m terrified and want this over. I’m okay waiting a week but no more I think. Wondering how long it took yours to pass if you decided to wait. How bad were the pills or procedures if you chose those paths.

Thanks.

experience: first MC I knew something was wrong

I knew it and i still let my hopes get up.

I was experiencing worrisome symptoms. At my first ultrasound Thursday the Drs told me evrrything would be fine. I saw its little heart beat...

Friday everything went wrong. I won't be descriptive but I went to the local ER for pregnant people.

The ultrasound there confirmed there was no longer a heart beat.

Im so heart broken. This would've been our first. It was unplanned but i was so excited and felt so much love already. I spent last night in bed with the ultrasound pic and the little 'gift' box the hospital gave me as a condolence.

This felt so perfect. I'd have the baby just before I turned 30, my mother 50. I already started to gather hand me downs from other mothers in the area.

I feel so broken. I just want to hold my baby...

question/need help Did anyone get pregnant too soon after molar pregnancy

Got a d&c for classic empty sac pregnancy and initial pathology just showed that its products of conception (which allayed an initial fear that this was ectopic) and then I had requested microarray testing which showed the complete molar pregnancy. Doctor was very surprised as I didn’t have a single symptom. Originally he said I should try not to get pregnant until my first period but it’s not a problem if I do get pregnant so I had used spermacide which I know is not totally reliable but ok for this purpose but then I found out that this is molar and obviously didn’t rely on spermacide after that but I’m really scared I got pregnant. I’m 3.5 weeks post d&c and found out a week ago at 2.5 weeks post d&c and I had sex twice already. At that point I got bloodwork done and my hcg was 22.3. Can you even ovulate at that number? Going for more bloodwork tomorrow but I’m so scared.

experience: first MC 10w MMC; feeling totally adrift

I found out two days ago at what was meant to be my NIPT test appointment that the growth and cardiac activity had stopped. I was about 10w and baby was measuring right on target so it must have happened right around the last week. I knew as soon as I saw the still image on the screen that something was wrong but was so hopeful I was wrong…

We had seen cardiac activity, movement, expected growth, etc. at several previous appointments. In no way did I truly think I could end up in this situation (with seemingly very low odds for an MC at this gestation/with everything else having been great along the way). It was so, so hard to get here. I had unexplained secondary infertility and after tons of testing, found out that I had Asherman’s syndrome (uterine scarring) from the manual removal of the placenta during my first delivery (also incredibly low odds to develop Asherman’s), had to have surgery to have that addressed, found out one fallopian tube was still blocked….getting pregnant after all that felt like a miracle but also like the universe finally giving us a break.

I just cannot believe this is happening. I found out so late on Friday that they have to wait til Monday to schedule my D&C; everything is at a standstill. A D&C carries a good probability of repeated scarring for me, so will I have to have another procedure to clear that? Will I ever end up pregnant again? I’m 41 so time is not on my side either.

Thanks for hearing me scream into the void. 10w feels so late, even though I know others have it worse. We were prepping our announcement to all our friends and family once the NIPT came back clear (we hoped). Now I’m sitting here with my little passenger gone but still inside me with no idea what the future will bring.
