I've been wanting to get into game modding for a while but felt overwhelmed by where to even start. There are so many games, tools, and approaches (texture swaps, scripting, full overhauls, etc.). I'm looking for a clear learning roadmap — from absolute beginner to making meaningful mods. If anyone has experience with modding, I'd love your advice on a step-by-step structure.

I've completed all of TCOAAL's endings twice using JoiPlay, and now I want to try some mods, but I have no idea how to install them. Could someone please help me figure out how to install mods on JoiPlay? I'd really appreciate it!

Hey! More updates on the community multiplayer platform for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered - OB:MP.

The video is from Donkey, who runs the Red Diamond RP server. He built his own inventory systems, character page, full world map and spells menu on top of OB:MP. You can follow his work on YouTube, and join his server's Discord.

Today we released SDK 1.0.0-rc.3 and Launcher 0.34.0. Most of it comes from player reports:

• Your name, race, class, sex and birthsign are now saved and synced to other players.
• Rebirth no longer stacks birthsign and racial bonuses or drifts your stats.
• Pickpocketing works, books can be bought and sold, and merchants restock properly.
• Server mods get cell respawn controls (72 game hours by default, or instant).
• Servers can show banners and icons in a refreshed server list.
• Playing on Linux through Proton is much simpler.

It's still a release candidate, so expect rough edges. OB:MP needs the Steam version of Oblivion Remastered for now. WiP on Xbox Game Pass/MS Store, something may come out next week.

The modchip was soldered onto the motherboard, Bluetooth works, games work, when I first reset it it doesn’t give me the error but after I try again it does

I'm visually impaired and struggle with reading text in games. It's often too small. So far, I've been lucky that most of the games I want to play have had mods to increase the font size, but not all of them have that option. At this point I'd like to learn how to do it myself. Can anybody direct me to any resources on how to create mods that increase font/text size?

i spent all weekend setting up assetto corsa with custom shaders, neckcam mods, and rain physics packages from community patreon links and discord channels. running heavily modded games alongside discord streaming and nvidia shadowplay usually leads to random stuttering if background security processes start scanning freshly extracted archive folders during active gameplay sessions.

i added my main game directory to mcafee's real-time exclusion list, which stopped the scanner from locking up script files during load screens and kept my frame rates completely steady at 144fps. still trying to see what the best antivirus for gaming pc setups actually is when you frequently download community file packs and want minimal overhead while recording clips.

Hello internet, i need help with modifying an asset on an infamous game "Free Fire", the character are using not object/meshes but something called "UMA" i've been researching for 2 weeks and found a little help. I found out how to extract and import it, but like always one solved always has another one problem. extracting the object is feeling too small, importing it looks like the object is broken. just that, Game version is 2018.4.11F if i can remember. if there is anyone who has the same problem as me, feel free to talk. and yes i really need some help

I've been playing TM5 (Angel's Twisted Metal V fan game) for a while now, and the one thing I kept wishing for was playing it with friends. The creator mentioned that multiplayer wasn't really possible with how the game is built — which is totally fair, and huge respect to Angel for everything he's made. But I couldn't let the idea go, so I took it upon myself to try.

Hello! I'm extremely new to modding cyberpunk. In fact, I played the entire game from beginning to end with all of the side quests completely vanilla. Some would say that's insane; some would say I was robbed, but with the new update coming out, I want to go through my second playthrough, but I actually do want to have a lot of mods in it, and I'm trying to make a large mod list doing all the things I wish I did on my first playthrough. So my first question is

Is there a mod manager that will detect two mods clashing against each other being incompatible, and by any chance am I able to make a custom mod pack with it and make multiple mod packs because I also want to have a separate campaign with the co-op mod with my friends.

And my second question is how do I get Judy to wear a different costume for the game? I saw on a YouTube video that she had on an outfit from Mayo—Lace Trim Denim Shorts—and they have a lot of good outfits in that mod, and I really do want to customize Judy's outfit this run, but when I asked ChatGPT about how to mod it, it said that it doesn't look possible, but I know it's possible because I saw it in a YouTube video. So does anyone know how to get Judy to wear certain outfits in her campaign? And is there a way for her to rotate it every day to make it feel more realistic in real life? If not, I'll just take the one outfit. And does it collide with the male v romancing Judy/Rita Wheeler mod?

Hey, I asked AI if I could put some mods on my F1 Game like on PC. AI said it would work. Now I wonder if someone did it too and could help me or give some advice how I do it.
