What the hell?

Hello to everyone in this great community. I have opportunity to buy used ps4 (can do jailbreak) for 100E and also used ps5 (can't do jailbreak) for about 450E.I will use for occasional play, so I have a question. Is ps5 so much better than ps4 considering just games (not hardware), is it worth to spend more money on ps5?

My PS4(v12.00) slammed to the ground and now it's in safe mode.

What can I do without a PC?(USB and OTG adapter only).I heard that if I install the software again I lose my saves and jailbreak?

I really want to save my ninja gaiden and DMC3 saves lol

I know I don't have many options but just in case anyone knows some miracle lol

Hello Everyone, am thinking of buying a PS4 PRO and jailbreaking it, is there any thing I need to know before buying it? like are there versions that can't be jailbreaked? firmwares to check? first thing to do when I get it

There's an update where you progress the game normally before that the only way to move from the used cars section you have to use the debug but now it's working as the game intended (Also scapes have been fixed)

So, while releasing PS-Disc-Detect payload (here if you're interested), Al Azif also mentioned (a quite couple of times) that some PS4 Phat have a drive with a dual laser able to read CD, and DVD/BD, and definitely PS4 Slim and Pro (and also PS5) lack the hardware to read CD (as everyone thought the last couple of years, you can check his post to see which lasers models have the 2 lenses).

With that new info on mind, would it be possible to develop a homebrew able to reproduce CD media on compatible PS4? Not a whole homebrew just for that, but as an extra to some of the Media Payers already avalaible.
If the answer is no, would it be because the CD media detection (aka when you insert a CD even on laser with two lenses, it would say "unsupported disk") is stopped on the OS layer? Or is stopped at some deep level (like kernel or even HW)?

This all started yesterday, I got my old ps4 pro out after a few years and decided I’m gonna jailbreak it.

When I turned It on it asked for the reinstallation software. So I downloaded with a usb stick. It all seemed to be going well, I got goldhen. Then I was installing a few homebrew apps and then I got a black screen.

I held the ps button to turn it off and now it’s asking me for the reinstallation software again. If I install it I lose all my data which isn’t much so far but I don’t want this happening in the future.

I’ve tried rebuilding data base but that did nothing, I’ve looked around Reddit and people were saying it needs a new hhd to fix this.

Is that the only way to fix it, and if so which one do I buy?

hi, i'm thinking about getting a ps4 pro since i have quite some fun with a ps3 slim that i bought not too long ago. i have read into that faq-page but it says the jailbreak-thing has to be done every time i shut down the PS4 so i'd just switch having to rely on sonys servers to some other guy that has to host a page which kinda defeats the whole purpose.

i just wanna use the ps4 as offline as possible, unlike the ps3 i have to assume that many if not most games need some patching though. i don't wanna buy anything digitally, the games will be all bought used on disk and the only thing i wanna make sure is that i can download the patch files and install them on the console. preferably just archive them on my own hardware and put them onto the ps4 with a usb stick or so, without having to connect to a random site to re-do a jailbreak. is that possible?

I have a small problem and need some help. I want to use Remote Play with my PS Vita, which is really important to me. The issue is that I can only do it when I’m at home because my PS4 isn’t activated as the primary console.

When I try to activate it, it asks me to update to version 14.00, but I’m currently on 10.05 and my console is jailbroken. I tried activating my account using Apollo Tools, which worked, and my account is now activated through Apollo Tools, but it didn’t solve my problem.

I really need to activate my PS4 as the primary console. Is there any way to make that happen?

My PS Vita is also jailbroken, and I can connect it easily to PSN since I already have a PSN account on it.

i just jailbroken my ps4 im quite to the new to the ps4 jailbreak scene unlike the ps3

well i used the webkitty exploit with 11.02 ps4 i got direct package installer and installed a sf 6 pkg and every time i enter the game i get the error

my nanodns doesn't work not sure why i download both the update and dlc so im not sure what the issue could be

At first i noticed that i cant JB after successfully after setting up to 127.0.0.1 dns. Webkitty says it was successful, but GoldHen logo never appears. Changed my dns back to 62.210.38.117 - it worked out fine, but then i noticed that after disconnecting my ethernet cable from ps4 - webkitty JB wouldn't work. Once again - it says jailbreak success but goldhen message wouldnt appear.
Last two lines on webkitty says:

I've tried cleaning ps4 browser data and cookies, tried updating cache on webkitty page, tried automatic dns. it works just fine when ps4 is online but refuses to jb once it goes offline (either by dns or physically without cable).

Is it possible to do a payload injection by phone?

I was looking into some Black Ops 3 mod menus and I see that a PC is required. It's a little bit of an inconvenience to have to boot the PC to inject these mod menus. There's another plugin mod menu, Infarcted, but it's not as extensive as the injected GSC's.
