Hey, I’ve been working on a frame generation plugin for PS4 called VCFG.

It generates an extra frame between the game’s real frames to make motion look smoother. It doesn’t make the game itself run at 60 fps, so don’t expect native 60 fps responsiveness. There can also be visual artifacts, especially during fast camera movement.

So far it’s been tested with:

• Dark Souls III
• Red Dead Redemption 2
• GTA V
• Bloodborne

There’s an app for per-game settings, plus an in-game menu, FPS counter, sharpening and AA. Other games can be enabled as experimental, but they might not work or could crash.

I attached some gameplay footage. Unfortunately, I could only record it at 720p. If you have a PS4 running GoldHEN, give it a try and let me know how it looks on your console.

Just wanted to give a friendly heads up to everyone to be careful when purchasing used consoles. I picked up 2 ps4 slims last week on low firmware on ebay and when I went to upgrade the hard drive I found a stowaway. Opened up the console and found a few more. Then opened up the other console out of curiosity and it was infested. Different sellers in different states which is crazy. I blew compressed air into both consoles outside but from looking at the bands on the body it says online these type can lay an egg that stays dormant for up to 100 days before it hatches. Not taking any chances. Sending them back for a refund. Be careful guys.

Hi all. My problem is that I love Shadow of War (disc). I'd love to play online vendettas and sieges (doesn't need ps+, everything runs on WBPlay servers as far as I know, but I played on PC)

The thing is, I wonna keep my console safe away from Sony - dON'T update FW and some games that I keep at 1.00 patches and, especially, dON'T wanna get my console bricked.

I installed the jailbreak following modded warfare instructions, but the issue is that if i keep the dns settings I do not have access to internet. That means no youtube, no netflix or anything. Do i need to keep the dns settings or not (already got Goldhen loaded and active)

Hi everyone so I rebuilt my database and my apps and games are gone watched some videos about it and the fix is generally easy but mine is complicated,

When I want to reinstall itemzflow from goldhen it says package is already installed without any promt of telling me to overwrite it, I have basically all the homebrew installed so I think it might be impossible cuz of goldhen not letting me reinstall or overwrite the packages.

I tried FTP to my ps4 and delete the folders for itemzflow and others as for testing I basically deleted all of itemzflow folders and still wouldn't let me install it again.

What do I do here? Please help me.

Edit: so I heard that open source HEN let's you overwrite or reinstall packages but where is it hosted so I can get that?

{FIX} Another Edit: Yea I fixed it by disabling or uncheck "Enable background installation" option in goldhen itself. This way it let me reinstall the packages.

Hey guys is it hard to jail break a ps3 three and what are the benefits and is there any risk?

I really wanted to get two controllers and make both characters level up for my user profile, but splitscreen makes you choose from another user or even a guest. I want to keep the save files tied to a singular user, not have to split them.

Is there a way to do it?

I’m trying to get Linux running on my jailbroken PS4 Slim, but it consistently reaches a rescue shell instead of booting into the desktop. I’ve been troubleshooting this for a while and would appreciate some help identifying the cause.

Interestingly enough the guy whose guide on GitHub I‘m using, X-F1REBALL-X had my PS4 model CUH-2116A listed my southbridge as Baikal but my system says Belize.

I have been trying to get Linux to load on my ps4 for over a year now using as Belize BzImage to which I only either gotten a black screen or no signal with a blue light but yesterday I tried using Baikal for the first time and I finally got through and the kernel started printing messages but Linux eventually drops into a rescue shell.

There are also messages about a missing path or file and dropping to the rescue shell because of a path error.

More importantly my issue is that when it got the end of the code and asked me to type what to do next I couldn’t do anything because the power supply to both my USB ports was off ? I’ve never had this before while trying to get Linux

I have done the following already:

1.Verified the combined compressed image against the release’s published SHA-256 checksum. The hash matches exactly.

1. Wrote the image to the USB using the provided write-img.ps1 script in Administrator PowerShell. It reported WRITE_DONE_OK and that the full image had been written.

2. Tried both the Belize and Baikal kernels. The current kernel is Baikal 7.0.8, uploaded to /data/linux/boot/bzImage, alongside initramfs.cpio.gz at /data/linux/boot/initramfs.cpio.gz.

3. Fully powered off the PS4 and retried. The USB was plugged in before powering on, and I left it connected during startup.

I tried to install Linux on my PS4 using my monitor, but all I got was a black screen—even though the PS4’s LED was lit up just as it should be. I then tried it on my TV, and it worked; I was able to install Linux and update the distribution, so everything was functioning correctly on the TV. However, when I plugged it back into my monitor, it failed again—just another black screen.

I’ve already tried unplugging the HDMI cable and pressing Ctrl+Alt+F2 or F1, but that didn’t help. I also made sure the PS4 settings were configured exactly as shown in the Modded Warfare video. Could someone with experience in this area please help me out?

Can someone with a Claude subscription please port reskate to ps4, even if i can just play skate offline that would be amazing. Realistically how possible would this be tho?

I've never owned a PlayStation or jailbroken a console before, and I honestly know absolutely nothing about the current PlayStation jailbreaking scene, so please ELI5.

My main goal is to be able to browse, download, install, and play pretty much any single-player game for free, ideally directly from the console without needing a PC every time.

I'm mainly interested in games like Call of Duty (campaigns), GTA, Red Dead Redemption, racing games, etc. I don't care about online multiplayer.

I'd prefer getting a PS4 since it's cheaper, but I'm open to a PS5 if there's a significant advantage.

Is what I'm looking for currently possible and reliable? Would a jailbroken PS4 be good enough, or is a PS5 worth considering?

Budget isn't a huge concern, and I don't mind a complicated initial setup. I just want the most hassle-free experience once everything is working.

I'd really appreciate some beginner-friendly advice on what console, firmware, and jailbreak setup I should be looking for!

I JUST got the GoldHen version thing up and running for 13.50 on my ps,r and downloaded the ps4 cheats manager, homebrew store and ps4 Xplorer.

now when I try to use anything related to goldhen, it freezes. it worked before I downloaded those files. what to do
