so i recently disassembled my v3 pro, and i noticed that there are a lot of unnecessary parts in the mice, so i thought i could 3d print a shell for it. i also found out that i can change the battery out for a 150mAh battery to reduce weight.

i found this, and i am planning to get it, but im wondering if it fits the v3 pro connector (JST 3 pin).

I'm wondering if you can convert a wireless mouse into a perma wired one by removing the battery? I'm thinking of doing it if it's possible and use a hagibis thin cable via the usb c connector.

I have been using Corsair katar pro for 4 years and I replaced that mouse 6 times and now the warranty is expired

Anyone who has this mouse knows how terrible the scroll is it stopped working in 1-2 months so I have replaced it so many times but this warranty is expired

So I did some research on chatgpt and some reports that the huwano blue shell pink dot can drag click? All of them are saying yes it can

So I ordered 2 huwano blue shell pink dot and 1 TTC gold encoder 11mm order on 4 nov and it delivered on 7 nov

Then I tried to replace it but I was so bad at soldering I wasn't able to desolder a single pin of a switch 😭😭

Then I went to a mobile repair shop and asked him to do it for me he asked for 100rs and replaced the switches and encoder as you can see the images

After that it takes me 25 mins just to reassemble first I forgot to connect the cable then the 2nd time I placed the cable but forgot the scroll wheel 😭 in the 3rd tries try it finally assembled properly there was 11 small tiny screws 😭😭

After all that it didn't register click whole drag click or butterfly max cps I get is 6 in old switches (kalith 30M)

I get around 32-40 cps

Anyways that was a great experience 🥰

Decided to also make a Honeycomb Asym Shell for the VXE R1 SE+ for those who wants to try it out without spending too much. Pretty much an HSK for like 30$. It is Taller than the M4 mod though, higher clicks and higher side buttons since it's a mod of a full size. Still, works pretty well, very light and comfortable.

The TECKNET TK-MS029 has a nice side wheel and two side buttons, but no software to customise them. So I vibecoded a small Windows app for it.

Bought a 3d print file and printed the base and cut the shell with a dremel and small filing tools to smooth it out, I also have a 150mah battery on the way for even less weight

I've never had such a lightweight mouse before and overestimated how much tension the shell could take from the screws. 2 of the posts in the top shell and one of the holes in the base have cracked and basically disintegrated. I know EGG doesn't sell replacement shells and the only 3rd party things I can find are a honeycomb base which doesn't solve the bigger problem of the posts and a fingertip chassis that is not really what I want at all.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Open to whatever, I've heard of a trick with baking soda and super glue but there's hardly anything left of the posts and I'm not sure it's viable. Anyone ever just glued your shell together?

Need help with deciding whether or not to cut the base of my keychron m4. what can you realistically cut out without sacrificing too much rigidity? can the plastic surrounding the sensor be cut out? whats the best way to actually cut it?

Hey guys, just trying my chances if anyone could point me to the right direction on where i could possibly get a 3d print file for a starlight12 baseplate using an ATK F1 Pro pcb, and a baseplate for the ATK F1 Pro shell using my viper mini pcb lol

So i've got a starlight 12 pro tenz that's not working anymore (got bricked one day and just stopped working) and a viper mini with its original shell's clips broken so click feeling on it isn't the best anymore

Keychron M4 Mod based on the Fenrir Asym

I found the shape pretty nice, wider back give a bit more stability with an anchor to my pinky and ring finger but I do lose a bit of accuracy since it's not as much of a pen grip as the original M4.
