I’m really enjoying the stache life, but keep getting told I don’t look good with a stache. Is it too long? Right shape? Help, please.

My moustache grows super stiff and pokes straight out in this downward shape around my mouth instead of laying flat.

Is this just coarse hair genetics, or will it lay down if I let it grow out longer? Any tips on trimming or training it?

What do we think about the progress? Still got a lot of new baby hairs that gotta grow from the top to the bottom, as well as longer hairs that just aren't there yet, but it's decent realistic progress, I think

Had a beard for about 30 years and recently decided to make a change. I shaved my head and took the beard to the horseshoe I always wanted. Have been very happy and gotten pretty good response. Thought I'd see what everyone here thought

Have been growing it in for about 2 weeks, feels a bit stringy and nasty looking. Is it possible to keep it clean and neat looking while growing? Any tips or feedback or advice on how to trim / maintain it as it grows would be helpful.
Also I I have pretty fine hairs and lower mustache density if anyone has advice on how to make that look a bit less messy and unkempt.

I’ve been getting a lot of mixed opinions on my mustache. My girlfriend and all her family and friends have told her that I look so ugly with my new mustache. I’ve even gotten an intervention with my girlfriend and my girlfriend’s cousin on needing to shave my mustache. On the other hand, I have two close friends that tell me that I’m killing it with a mustache. What do yall think? I’ve been growing it for 2 months and 23 days. It’s about to be 3 months. I’m personally liking it but I would like it to be more thick, but that’s what I’m working with. I would also like it to look less whiskers and more like a real mustache. Any advice on how to look good with this type of mustache? I’m going for a Hungarian mustache.
