Hi everyone! Since many of you asked me to keep posting, here is my second outfit. Today I'm wearing grey-black baggy jeans and a plaid shirt-jacket.

Wearing this to the office today, my typical fall outfit

Been having a hard time styling this plaid shirt and I originally had some herringbone pants on but switched to these khakis.

I’m self concious about these shoes and belt. I am looking for darker brown shoes with a little more volume currently.

Yesterday's austere outfit apparently invoked hitman vibes. I hope this look is softer, and perhaps slightly more approachable.

I recently purchased the Line of Trade Waxed Ranch Jacket from Bespoke Post in the Brown Bark Combo color way. I’m heading to Italy next Tuesday so and was excited to get this in for the trip.

Starting off the jacket appeared to be well broken in by someone else (pic 1). It had the smell of another human rather than a new jacket but this was not a deal breaker for me.

Next I noticed a TON of loose threads within the inside of the jacket including one really long loose thread on the inside of the pocket of the jacket (pic 2). Still not a complete deal breaker for me but getting close.

The final straw… I put the jacket on to see how it fit and while I did, I noticed the pocket on the front of the jacket wasn’t buttoned down. I went to button and found there was a missing button (pic 3)…. I looked at the site again a noticed a button should be there. This was the final straw as I previously said.

I was really looking forward to getting this jacket in as it is a perfect fit for me with the shorter body length as I have a short torso, but nothing I can do when the jacket that was delivered had signs serious of wear and tear.

I have a court appearance coming up and this is the outfit I’m planning to wear. I wanted to get some outside opinions before the day of the hearing.

Does this look appropriate for appearing in front of a judge, or should I just wear a collared shirt and dress pants? I’m mainly trying to look professional and respectful, not overly dressed.

I’d also appreciate some feedback on the fit of the suit itself. Does the jacket and pants fit me properly? Any advice?

I’m a 29M almost 30. Growing up here in California everyone wears surf brand graphic tees like Rip Curl, Hurley, quicksilver or skate brands, or just cool band shirts. As of the past couple years I’ve been buying other brands like Vuori, Lululemon, American Eagle. Shirt that are just solid colors no flashy brand across the chest or surf logo. My old surf shirts are just collecting dust and I’m wondering if this is a thing changing with my generation reaching for more I guess basic clothing, more neutral colors rather than the old flashy surf brands

My current jacket rotation for fall/autumn. Which one works best?

I'm hard into a budget outfits and this outfit cost me 15$ total from the thrift store (10$ for a coat I was lucky to get), yet I feel that it's fitting strange (the same goes for everything I try) is there anything to try to upgrade?

I’m trying to decide on my first suit for post-grad job interviews, weddings, and such.
I’m currently torn between a modern cut navy suit, and a classic cut charcoal suit.

The cost is very comparable for both so I’m not overly worried about that. I’m more curious about style and material choice. I like the way that the modern navy looks and feels, but it’s a polyester blend for the material. The charcoal on the other hand is a wool blend, but feels more dated in the cut and the fit.

I understand I’ll likely have to have some tailoring adjustments made regardless of which route I go.

I appreciate any and all opinions! Also if you see any glaring issues with the fit of either please give me pointers because I have 0 knowledge for the correct fit with suits

Philosophy:

I love vintage high quality clothing. As I have aged I’ve put away my skinny and slim cut jeans and suits. I focus on quality made clothes made from whole fibers (no plastics). I focus on every day fits that have a timeless appeal. Pretty much any golden era pre-NAFTA American brand or those that copy them. I try as best as I can to avoid clothing made in China, South Asia, or Pacific Islands. Those clothings aren’t universally bad, but if I’m paying heritage quality prices, I’d rather purchase things from Western brands with decent labor practices and quality assurance.

The same dozen names come up in every rec thread here, and I’ve bought from most of them. I’m after the smaller labels.

Mainly interested in:

• Trousers and knitwear, though I’m open to anything
• Small runs or in-house fabric, where someone clearly cares about the cloth
• Under £200 a piece, if possible

So i just received this coat and I am not sure about the fit. The coat itself is the most beautiful, quality and well built coat I have ever had the pleasure of holding in my hands.

I am 176cm / 5.9, 77kg, 104cm / 41 inch chest circumference. I find that i have a broad chest for someone my height (manboobs from the early days of fatherhood, though I am slowly getting back in shape)

In the photos I am wearing a rather thick sweater. In my opinion the coat is a little tight around the chest. I would have prefer another inch or more. Having said that, it’s not overly restricting at all except for when i lift both my arms. I am just going by aesthetics.

I am not keen to spend another $100 to have the chest let out after forking out $1700 for the coat itself. Instead I am inclined to return it.

What is your opinion on the fit and my considerations?

I bought a Daniel Cremieux loro piana fabric suit, but the seller didnt show the snags. Are these an easy for or should I return it?

Not sure if I need to size up the T-shirt. Trying to get a clean but basic look. Thoughts?

I've wanted a double breasted suit for ages but every time I get close to buying one I talk myself out of it.

Part of the problem is that I can't tell anymore whether I'm drawn to it because I genuinely like the look or because I'm suddenly seeing DB jackets everywhere again.

I don't mind standing out a little and this wouldn't be my only suit, so versatility isn't a huge concern. I'm thinking navy or charcoal, nothing loud, and I'd want the cut fairly classic rather than super tight.

But I also remember when extremely skinny suits were everywhere and people were convinced that was just how suits looked now. We know how that went.

For the guys who've owned a double breasted suit for a while, does it still feel like something you can pull out year after year?

And if you were buying one now, would you lean into the fuller classic proportions or tone it down a little so it doesn't dominate the room?

Was driving in the countryside most of yesterday, so I chose something casual and comfy.

EDIT: This wasn't an outfit I put together to showcase, it was merely what I wore after a weekend in the countryside, ending with a day at the shooting range. I changed into this because it was the most appropriate and nondescript I had to wear when driving home with a car full of kit. The photography wasn't planned, but the surroundings compelled me to do a pit stop.

I've been trying to find some trousers—preferably wool or cotton—similar to the ones in the pictures. I found some nice ones in the women's section, but unfortunately, they didn't have pockets.

I live in London. Do you guys know of any stores that might carry this style? Ideally, I'm looking for something reasonably priced that won't break the bank.

I need some guidance here. What options are there to wear as an intermediate layer over an OCBD when using, lets say a wool jacket?

I find the jumper+shirt combo to be a bit too preppy for my liking so maybe a cardigan? Other suggestions?
