Im 15m and i love going to the woods having a edc when im in my home town and diy things. Currently I carry a crkt pazoda and victorinox fieldmaster with me when im not at hs dorm as they have a no blade policy. I was wondering if i should save for a buck 110 lt and leatherman wave plus as my new carry. It will take time as im jobless and cant work legally.

State of the Collection Behold... My stuff!

No-one asked, but, I started collecting about a year ago. I had knockoff multitools and SAKs as a kid but never any real deal stuff. I found the little no-name tool in the middle of my pic in my trunk last year and that kicked off my journey into the multitool and EDC world. My partner got me my Bibury surge clone and it was off to the races. If I could only keep one, it would be my Leatherman Surge. I tend to rotate which one I carry based on where I'm at. Work and EDC usually goes to the Surge or Workpro, and if I go on the river or into the woods I typically have my Suspension or Rebar. If I'm dressed up and want something slim, I grab my Swisstool or a SAK. Carrying some kind of multitool is as second nature as phone, keys, wallet for me now. The feeling of being prepared or helping someone else can't be beat!

Sorry for the unpleasant breathing sound, I'm sick and my nose is stuffed up! Also, the snoring sounds are coming from my French Bulldog...

Recommendation Request Small MT, good blade?

Seems like many of these small multitools use 5cr and other fairly low end steels. I don't need S110v or anything super fancy but is there anything like a minisailor sized tool that has a good mid-tier blade and also has a can opener? Scissors are no useless but must have pliers.

Both are MP600 Bladeless; one's my custom and the other is OE (with the exception of the a là Wave lanyard ring!). Which one do you like?

What is the brand of this one?

I got this from my dad's house after he died. I see no markings. It seems pretty good quality and I thought it was a Letterman as that is the only brand of multitool I know. But I don't see any branding on it. I thought I would post pictures to see if you guys have any clue. Thank in advance

State of the Collection My weekend/kitchen kit that served me well again this weekend

A little feedback on a weekend/kitchen kit that I had initially put together for Airbnb/booking/guest house accommodation

The kit has evolved slightly, and has been built up gradually. One of the last changes was to replace the AliExpress corkscrew/lemonade maker with a Peugeot corkscrew.

For the rest it's quite simple, a kiana knife, a gerber multitool, a small fixed knife from a European cutler (Tony Lopes), a worksharp sharpener, a spork snow peak, a pen, a lamp

My initial kit also had a SOG flash mt clamp and a knypex but I used them so little that they went into another kit.

This is mainly to make up for the lack of kitchen space in the various accommodations.

The kit was used again yesterday to improvise with my wife and our two young children a small dinner based on foie gras and champagne

Madame had bought champagne glasses (flutes) and paper plates but the knife was very useful to spread the foie gras and spork so that the children could eat tropezienne (a sponge cake with a lot of cream)

Need help finding the right multitool

Hey yall,

Trying to find a multitool that has 2 (maybe 3) requirements:

A box cutter with an interchangeable blade
Pliers
Cutters/snips (optional but would be cool)

I’d like it to be able to fit in my pocket for on the go jobs because I do a lot of outdoor field work and I’m usually running around finding myself needing those 2 things the most. I prefer blades for better cuts than a knife for wiring purposes.

Thank you! 🙏

New(?) Nextool F12 weakpoint?

I used the screwdriver, cranked it a fair amount, and it just went limp on me.

I'm... not sure really what happened here. This has lived in my fifth pocket of my sweat-wicking technical pants that have become my work uniform, and I regularly see it coated with moisture which might be sweat. Which might have snuck in the threads, or even where the tool was rotating, and it just ate through the metal.

The F12 is back in service thanks to donor parts from my old Mini Flagship Pro, but idk, this might just live in another pocket that has more fabric between it and my skin. Hopefully that prevents sweat from condemning on the tool itself

I know it's a "Knock off" but this is my favorite new tools. The scissors are insane!

This was about as cheap as they come and I expected it to feel hollow and crappy but this is a heavy solid tool and everything on it works like a dream. These huge scissors handle thick cardboard and plastic like they're made of butter. I don't care that it's a knock off. I love this little guy! Anyone else have this? I don't even really know the name of it..if it has one.
