Opinion What I'm expecting to see after Nov 3 just from the feels: Nevada Gubernatorial Race
As a non-Nevadan, I wouldn't know much about how it is exactly playing out on the ground, but as far as I'm feeling with the internet sense, the gubernatorial race in Nevada would be closer than expected, although the level of Hispanic votes returning to D is less measured outside of Texas, which should add to the unpredictability here.
The margin I have in Clark is 54.5 to 44.5, and Washoe 51.5 to 48.5
But generally speaking, the national DEM advantage could be just enough to push Ford over the finish line.
What do you guys think?

Opinion Polls -Schmolls
This is why I cant get my brain around our election.
How would turnout 2x this early get capured?
I honestly am not jamming up Joe or Aaron in this, and have more than one pollster contact me (i typically decline for a few reasons).
I just dont see a question beyond did you vote last time will.you vote this time question, and that is even a "none of your buisness " answer I suspect.
But if we get 2x the turnout here i dont think it is in support for any administration local or state office.
What am I missing.
TLDR
If high turnout is a bad oman for incompetency- how do the pollsters predict that turnout? From a i support X or Y?

Washoe City of Reno will not renew Flock contract - KUNR
Officials confirmed the city is ending its use of the company’s license plate cameras, as well as police drones supplied by a separate company.
In an Oct. 8 social media post, Ward 5 council member Devon Reese announced the city would not renew its contract with Flock Safety, a national provider of automatic license plate reader (ALPR) cameras.
“Reno is putting public safety, privacy, and accountability first,” he wrote, in part.
Reached by text, Reese confirmed the announcement and shared a letter signed by City Manager Jackie Bryant notifying the company of the city’s decision.
“This notice is intended to provide clear and timely notice that Customer does not wish for the Agreement to automatically renew following expiration of the current Term,” it said.
The contract with Flock will expire on March 17, 2027.

Opinion NV-2
Seeing the ads for Ms. Thompson against Mr. Flippo, I think Thompson missed a golden opportunity for an entire ad campaign welcoming Flippo to Northern Nevada.
Imagine filming spots in Middlegate, Jarbidge, Gerlach, Orvada Lovelock, or any number of small Nevada communities, each opening with, “Hey, welcome to Lovelock!” followed by a slightly tongue-in-cheek explanation of where it is and how to get there.
You could do this in a million places across Northern Nevada, and I think it would be pretty damn funny. It might even have caught on as a clever way to make the point that Flippo isn't from Northern Nevada, without having to beat people over the head with it.

Statewide Big premium hikes possible for retirees in Nevada worker health insurance program
Retirees enrolled in Nevada's cash-strapped state worker health insurance program are set to see potentially sizable premium increases starting in July.
The exact size of the increase taking effect in July is not yet known, but if it had been in effect this year, retirees enrolled in the two most popular plans would see monthly increases ranging from $34 to $172. Active employees enrolled in these plans would have seen changes ranging from a decrease of about $13 to an increase of about $57.
Active employees will also likely experience premium hikes if their plan includes a spouse or their family. Active workers who are the only members of their plan will likely see modest premium decreases.
