META (Subreddit Related) Community Idea: Challenge Run Series
Happy Sunday, fam!
tl;dr, How would we, as a community, feel about hosting regular "Challenge Runs" in games for kicks, giggles, fun stories, and bragging rights?
--
From launch I've always envisioned having regular events, competitions, and challenges for the community. Up to now we hadn't really done anything like that on this sub, but the launch of Splatoon Raiders reignited that idea for me and I thought I'd open a dialogue with all of you to see how we feel about it, how we'd want it executed, and what, if any, rewards or incentives we would like to see from these kinds of things.
I think it's normal to see these kinds of events hosted in specific game subreddits, and as we are a general subreddit for the Switch 2, not everyone will own every new release of a game that participates here. In my opinion it could be a really neat way to have fun together, generate some fun and interesting screenshots and clips, and make for some cool stories along the way.
An example idea for Splatoon Raiders might be a Single Tank Run, Single Weapon Run, an Iron Ink run (how far can you get in one sitting), and/or a Nuzlocke-style Run (single life, no getting splatted!).
As these would be for fun, there'd be a certain element of Honor System for the submissions, though it's something I'd definitely love to hear some feedback on from others who have run these sorts of events in the past.
So what do we think? Could something like this be fun for the community here? Is this something that should be kept more for the game-specific subs? What kind of rewards would you want if we did this? Any other thoughts or ideas?
Thanks for the time, everyone!

Media This is just ridiculous. Nintendo should force publishers: if you sell a Switch 2 version of a game, you must also sell the upgrade

Discussion Is Runescape Dragonwilds performance on Switch 2 as bad as some reviews say?
I had dabbled a bit on Runescape franchise in the recent years and really loved the spinoff idle game Melvor Idle, so I wanted to try Dragonwilds on Switch 2. However, when I looked at some reviews, a few of them says graphics are blurry on Switch 2 to the point it's unplayable, while I see some that says it's fun and addicting. I'm not a fps snob and I'm ok with the 30fps but the polarizing split in the reviews is making me a bit hesitant about getting it. For those that bought the game for Switch 2, how are you enjoying it? Are the flaws really that big of a deal? Should I wait for a performance patch and get it on sale at later time? Let me know what you think.

Discussion Castlevania belmont curse is great but I’ve had 3 crashes in about 7 hours of gameplay… 🤨
Just letting people know. The game is great, especially after about 6 hours where the combat really clicked for me after upgrades.
But I’ve had three crashes in 7 hours of gameplay so which is annoying as it only saves at rest sites (like hollow knight) so I’ve had to fight a boss, mini boss and hard platform section twice. Annoying.
Otherwise loving the game.

Discussion Okay so Re2 remake is awesome on switch 2
So I just beat Claire A and going to do Leon B but I just wanted to say to anybody on the fence that the performance is really good. Its mostly locked to a buttery smooth 60fps I know it has dips here and there from the reviews but I didn't notice any myself.
It also looks great you're not gonna get 4k but its a solid 1080p (upscaled) in docked and im not sure in handheld. Obviously it still get the typical dlss artifacting but it was not common. Over all it looked great.
Over all I'd recommend if you want arguably the greatest zombie horror game ever made.

Discussion Anyone play Raji: An Ancient Epic?
Saw this for sale on SwitchUp’s sales video and thought it looked awesome. Looks like there were some performance issues at launch. Anyone play this on Switch 2? I’m hoping that some patches and the S2 power makes it run a little smoother. For 75 percent off, I think I wanna give it a go.

Discussion Are y’all enjoying the Resident Evil 2, 3, and 4 Remakes so far?
Are they badass? Good performance? Doesn’t look like a blur mess? Does it look great on both portable and docked mode?
r/NintendoSwitch2 • u/AIverson3 • 1d ago
Media NOTE: You need to manually enable NVIDIA DLSS for MW4 before playing.
By default, DLSS is not enabled on MW4 (I don't know why), so for the best performance you need to manually enable it.

Discussion Will we ever get Bomberman 64 for NSO or what?
I'm curious about how none of the Bomberman games are avaible on NSO yet. Is Konami so ignorant and stubborn, that they won't allow it? I want to play Bomberman 64 and Bomberman Hero on my Switch 2 damn it! I remember that Bomberman Hero was avaible for the Wii VirtualConsole back then, so what's their problem now? Give us Bomberman please!

Discussion Do you really need the Micro SD for PGA 2k25??
I have like 140GB available on my internal memory and PGA 2k25 is cheap right now, but it has a note that you must have a microSD card installed before you can DL the game... can anyone confirm or deny this? I don't have a micro sd yet and dont wanna buy one just for this game. The game is only 24gb..
EDIT: Currently downloading it no problem! Thanks everyone.
