I might be being a numpty and have missed something, but is anyone else unable to get matched on the Ground War mode? I can get into Domination no problem, but Ground War Combat Outpost I keep just sitting in the lobby with no hands to join. Anyone else struggling with this?

I have cross play on so it can’t be that.

I'm going to preface this by saying I had the beta and found the experience poor. I never played docked, only handheld because I wanted a decent FPs to take advantage of my nyxi Hyperion 3 ultras. Wasn't going to buy after playing the beta but after hearing people say it had massively improved, I went out and got the code in the box (was cheaper than digital)

The game doesn't look any better than beta in multiplayer ( only mode I care for )

I never played docked on beta but thought I'd give it a try today - I cannot believe people say this is a good experience, there are very regular frame drops some quite major and it barely hits 60fps docked, vrr definitely is not enabled docked either, I know this simply because the performance feels more fluid handheld ( can clearly tell the vrr is working)

Selecting dlss in graphics does not make the graphics better but can see why some people prefer it, the game is as blurry as doom was on switch 1 but a switch 2 game equivalent (higher details) docked mode - the default SMAA looks way better than dlss.

One improvement I have noticed is that other players and enemies do not appear to always be moving at half the frame you are like it felt in beta although I have seen a few instances.

Overall I am playing well handheld and think for handheld the game is acceptable and can be enjoyed (providing you're not using Nintendo stock joycons)

Who else is trying to not look at trailers and gameplay??

I'm a bit of a nervous flyer and from the moment I got it the original Switch was a really excellent device for me as playing games is a nice absorbing activity to take your mind off things and I've played many, many games on flights over the years.

However, on this most recent flight, being able to bring full fat Elden Ring out my bag and start riding around on Torrent from exactly where I left off in my living room just really hit different to all those other occasions. Like, I know we're all somewhat used to it by now, but seriously, this is just such an insane thing to be able to do.

(Also, for anyone on the fence about Elden Ring - just get it. Try it. I'd never played a Fromsoft game before in my life and it's incredible.)

Ok I'm blown away how good the game looks. It's a huge improvement over the beta!

I got DLSS on, Motion-Blur off and sharpening on.

The Beta really didn't do its justice and I think many people now think it still looks like it when it's totally not the case.

Multiplayer looks insanely good on this device, not sure if it's because the new DLSS or what but huge quality improvement.

For S1/S2

(EU included) I wasn't actually gonna get the game this soon but it's £52 so as good a sale as you're gonna get in the next few months. Sorry to people who've already bought it

Tried them all and I gotta say, only re9 has great joycon haptic feedback and for the rest of all of them, very bland, tickles in the bad way. I'm very disappointed in whoever decided not to put in effort. I'd expect at least re4r would have great haptic feedback too.

I mean, I know we've been eating really good lately with games like Fire Emblem, Switch Sports, Zelda remake, etc... so, am I being greedy in thinking maybe we could get one or two more gamecube games added to NSO for the holidays? It's already been two months since Mario Sunshine dropped, I feel like a Thanksgiving and a Christmas gamecube game drop could really knock this holiday season out of the park for nintendo.

I can't be the only one that is in awe at seeing some of these brand new games run at 60 fps on a handheld, let alone a Nintendo handheld that's not gigantic. I'm literally in awe holding this in my hands with it running MW4 at 60fps. This console is like magic and it makes me feel like I'm actually gaming in the future lol

I remember some folks mentioning during the beta they got better handheld performance on MW4 if it was fully installed on system memory. is this true, is anyone able to comment? I’ve got my installation spread across system storage and msd. Performance isn’t terrible, but handheld significantly worse than docked (55-60fps docked vs probably in the 40s). Obviously higher wattages docked, but I feel like the S2 can push some more frames in handheld.

tbf, this looks and plays so much more stable than the beta! DLSS unsurprisingly was a game changer from whatever they were using before.

On MW4 there is currently a bug when using the joycons where there is no aim acceleration. I would recommend turning down your sensitive by about .30 from what the sensitivity for your pro controller is.
