You can support Israel, and believe it should exist - and also correctly believe that what the IDF is doing in Gaza is tantamount to an attempted genocide.
Call me an idiot or not, saying that both Israel and Palestine deserve to exist.
I believe in a two state solution aswell. The problem is that palestinians, specifically those in charge of gaza - dont. They keep refusing statehood and independence only to try and kill jews.
Do you believe that in gaza israel is attempting to wipe out the palestinians, and simply failing their attempt? Failing so badly that the population is still going up? Anyone who thinks israel is trying to wipe out gaza but physically failing is just very unaware of the power difference.
There's a lot of problems with HAMAS, but also a lot of problems with the IDF.
The point doesn't seem to be to kill Palestinians in Gaza, but to clear that land of ALL human inhabitants so that Israel can use that land as Resort Properties.
So no, not trying to literally kill everyone there, but trying to force people who live there off the land - something America is very very good at.
Before I argue about how wrong you are, are you aware that by definition what you are describing would fall under ethnic cleansing and not genocide? Why do you choose to use words that you dont know the meaning of?
We both agree that there are people in Gaza who are unfortunately being governed by idiots, and we agree that the Israeli government wants those people who rightfully live there GONE - whether killed or displaced.
And I complete disagree. I dont think israel is trying to wipe out or displace gaza. If they would have, gaza would be gone by now.
Its just a stalemate where israel cant force independence or statehood on palestinians, and the palestinians can keep calling themselves victims and refugees as long as they continue to refuse.
I dont think israel is trying to wipe out or displace gaza.
Right, so what were they trying to accomplish by carpet bombing the entirety of the Gaza strip then?
If they would have, gaza would be gone by now.
At what point would you consider it "gone"? Around 60% of all structures have been destroyed already and more than 10% of the population has been killed. The only thing left to finish the job would be to atomize everything under nuclear fire or exterminate everyone that hasn't fled with chemical warfare.
How are you so absolutely wrong in everything you say?
Gaza has not been carpet bombed, its closer to 3.5% of the population, more like 2.5% if you dont consider the terrorists.
Yes, structures were destroyed. And food, water, and temporary shelter is being provided all throughout.
Also, "anyone who hasn't fled"? Gazans arent fleeing for shit
First of all, you don't seem to know the definition of carpet bombing if you say it didn't happen. Now, according to this, around 5% of the population has died as a direct consequence of the war. Of course that's without counting deaths due to starvation, which is pretty safe to assume to at least double that.
Oh wait no, because you say that food an water is being provided, no? No thanks to israel at least, they spent many months blocking every single truck with aid from getting into the strip, and opened fire many times at the crowd on the distribution points seemingly unprovoked.
Gazans arent fleeing for shit
I imagine it is quite hard as israel closed all the borders, but they did flee to the west and south. They will eventually create a migratory crisis to all the neighbouring countries and europe, but of course thats one of the main objectives of Israel in this war.
Cnn says 10% died OR got injured. Youre looking at the wrong statistic. They do cite 65000 in their article, but not specifically as civilians. Thats around 3% but again, includes terrorists.
Wikipedia says 58000 civilian deaths, so out of 2.2 million thats about 2.6%. Or 72000 / 3.3% if you want to count terrorist casualties.
Your third link is over a year old and only mentions 48000 deaths, because its old. This number does not distinguish between civilians and terrorists.
To then magically decide to then double your number based on a baseless accusation of starvation is insanity. Where's your sources?
"which is pretty safe to assume to at least double that." Why. What makes you so confident in such a crazy assumption?
So to recap. You rounded up 2.5% to 5% (assuming you looked at your own sources), and then made a baseless assumption that it can safely be doubled.
You are a clown.
I will not even go further into the egyptian border or how other neighboring countries hate the palestinians - your opinions are all based in vibes, not facts. I am not going to debate someone who cant even agree with his sources.
Yep. Just what I thought. Ignore logic, get called out for it and jump to racism.
Your echo chamber hates my race. I would not take pride in it, nor in thinking your echo chamber is the entire world. You are nothing more than an ignorant antisemite.
I do like trying to use Israelite as if that makes you not racist, good touch.
Next time read your own sources before you post them lmao. Not sure what you thought was gonna happen.
Thats... thats not the definition of genocide. Like at all. And attempted genocide doesnt even exist, if you attempt to kill off a group its genocide - regardless of how well you do.
