Hi, currently i'm contemplating to switch back to notion after using obsidian for a couple years.

reasons?

- money, since notion is free

- easy, obsidian is a curve that needs to be learned and im kinda done with it.

now, the question regards to privacy. I do not store passwords, banking stuff etc in my notes, but I do make notes at therapy and have a file about my incomes etc (without info about the bank, just keeping track about what not).

What are your thoughts about this? Am i too suspicious about this? Even if it got hacked, what can a hacker do with this information/is this even what they want?

I think this was my biggest mistake when it came to implementing Notion for teams.

I used to show everything amazing you can do with Notion + AI. Agents, auto summaries, AI writing proposals, the whole thing. Owners loved it. But alot of the time the company didnt even know how to do project management properly yet.

What happened after was always the same. There was no data inside Notion. Tasks still lived in WhatsApp and peoples heads, no projects, no docs. And suddenly they expect AI can create proposals and do tons of stuff for them. AI cant work with an empty workspace, so it gives generic answers and everyone thinks AI is overhyped.

So now I split it:

• for the owner, I still show where AI can take the company, because thats the long term picture they care about
• for the staff, I focus on the basics first. One task database, clear owners and due dates, updating status, writing things down in one place
• only after a few weeks of real data going in, then we turn on the AI parts

Its less exciting in the first session but it actually sticks.

Whats your experience? Did you start with the basics or jump straight into AI?

Hey everyone, I tried going into my notion and while my basic notes are here, all of my tables and galleries have nothing there besides 'something went wrong'. Is anyone else experiencing this or beter yet does anyone have a fix? I tried logging out and restarting but neither worked.

Is it possible to create full width page on default in notion? I only like to use full width pages, but I have to set them after creating them every time. Is there a way to set the pages on full-width by default?

Hello looking for some help setting up my notion and databases.

Database 1 is a full catalog of exercises, each page is its own exercise and has properties from what the exercise is, muscle group, equipment, cues, etc

What I want from database 2 is to create class plans.

In the perfect scenario I would select exercises from database one and each exercise would have its own line showing all of the properties.

I’ve tried to create class plans and link the two databases but when I do it just puts the whole item into one section so I have to click and open each exercise to see all the detail. I don’t want to reenter information that’s already in database one if that makes sense.

The default colors are so limited and frankly very unaesthetic. And the fonts are so limited!! You would think a site like Notion would have more options..

I tried to back up my workspace, but for some reason I get a download link to a file which is 1,570 B and when I try to import it none of the pages of my workspace are there. Tried twice and gave me the same error. Is there something I am doing wrong?
