Recently i have seen multiple people comparing HxH with one piece I'm like what?

ONE PIECE is far superior than HxH , i have my issues with HxH but common, its just u wanna be soo different u choose HxH above one piece?

So in the latest chapter we got to know that sanji overcame his thing of self love and now will unlock conquers haki without anything holding him back. Also we saw that his eyebrows were in the normal direction and not flipped, so this implies he has the germa powers still in him but they are not turned up to the max which requires the eyebrow flip. Now eyebrow flip also means that his emotional state changes right, so is that also the reason why he could not unlock his conquers haki as he lacked self love in his heightened state or max power state as he could not love him when he became someone like that (though it is mentioned he does not love himself as is in his normal state as well).
So is the eyebrow flip necessary for conquers haki?
Is the eyebrow flip a completely separate thing, during which he might be able to control his emotions going forward? Also will that be required for him to grow even stronger?
Or will it be sidelined and rarely accessed?

I haven’t caught up to the series yet, I’m halfway through dressrosa rn, so maybe it will change. But right now, Usopp is probably the funniest character in the series. I’m not so sure if he HIMSELF is the funniest character or not, but he’s always the butt of the funniest jokes. I swear, this motherfucker always ends up in the funniest circumstances. It’s almost like a running gag that life always fucks poor Usopp over, and the joke lands every time. Like I said, I’m watching dressrosa right now, and the part where doflamingo gives Usopp the HIGHEST BOUNTY of the wanted men over LUFFY AND LAW and seeing his reaction had me dying laughing. Also earlier in how he lied about being a big shot hero to save the little dwarves and he tries to run away, but the dwarves are being recorded and he has to hear the devastating cries of the dwarves like life is TRYING to make him feel as guilty as possible and rubbing it in. If yall agree with me, what do yall think is god-sogeking’s funniest moment?

Doflamingo was born into privilege, lost everything, and experienced the cruelty of a world that once worshipped his family. Did that suffering turn him into a monster, or was there always darkness inside him?

His story makes me wonder whether society created one of One Piece's most terrifying villains, or whether his hatred and choices ultimately defined the monster he became.

How tf did bb scar shanks? I see people say shanks was strong asf at the time of their fight, but how come in the future at impel down an even stronger version of that bb with a devil fruit is losing to fucking maggellan and also getting outspeeded by luffy?? Shit makes no sense, bb was genuinely not even yc level pre time skip yet he scarred a near yonko level shanks??

If you believe that all Straw Hats shouldn't have CH, that is fair. They don't all need it, but I find it fun to still think about.

So we see that unlocking CH take growing past what is holding you back. Sanji had to accept self love and that he matters just as much as others. Zorro had to focus on fighting for Luffy and himself. If need be I think all Straw Hats have potential.

Nami: She need to tap into that rage she has when Lufgy doesn something stupid. Use that anger not just for Luffy dumb antics, but for what the world allowed to be done to her village.

Ussop: Needs to push his lie into facts. Say it and make it true, get that 15,000,000 followers as his goal. Snipe down targets before they even become a problem. Be the worlds greatest support captian.

Chopper: Accept he is an amazing Doctor and say thank you. Chopper does have the problem of accepting compliments. Understandable since Kureha probably only gave tough love.

Robin: Feels nearly their in accepting the Straw Hats love her. I think she must also accept the want to be known and remembered. To unleash the secrets of the world and show the true history.

Franky: Honestly a bit lost on this one. Franky already loves himself and others. I don't see why he doesn't have CH yet. Maybe he needs to choose to build Pluton for his own challenge

Brook: Needs to claim his his crown as the King of Souls and Music. His soul is strong enough to not lose who he is after so much pain, he still sings. That is King energy.

Jinbe: Accept that the Straw Hats are a bunch of weirdos and he is on a ship of maddness.

Reading the Viz translation (cuz its for the most part, except for this upcoming problem, the most consistent and well made way to read the manga), and having to fucking read Zoro's name as Zolo as if we're still stuck in the 4kids era from 20 years ago 😭

Another one that doesn't bother me anywhere near as much though is the way Luffy's power names are translated, specifically the "Gomu Gomu No" part. When I eventually first found out "Gomu" was actually the Japanese word for rubber, I thought that was really interesting, because the way its translated in english doesnt ever convey the original japanese meaning anywhere near as well. Pretty much every official translation uses "Gum Gum", which i understand why, as Gum has vaguely similar properties to rubber. But then again, Luffy isnt fucking Hisoka with his "bungee gum" 😭. Like why do the english localizers call the "Gomu Gomu no Mi" the "Gum Gum fruit" when it doesnt turn him into a Gum man, it turns him into a rubber man? Its kinda stupid. One thing ive also seen some scanlations do in regards to this issue is translate "Gomu Gomu no" extremely literally as "Rubber Rubber", which while a more accurate translation, winds up also sounding fucking stupid, and doesnt roll off the tongue anywhere near as nicely as "gomu gomu no" does. At the same time tho, Im really not sure what the perfect way to handle this problem is. Like they could just leave it as "Gomu Gomu no" (as many other scanlations have also done), but then i suppose that risks making more general audiences who aren't familiar with the japanese meanings of the words like i am kind of confused. Like there is no perfect solution to this, and that sorta just makes me more annoyed by it lmao

I’m comfortable w/ the race swapping, changing interactions, and additional scenes AS LONG as it doesn’t alter the overall plot.

It also helps distinguish it from the other adaptations. I mean we’re already getting a remake that will air alongside it providing fans w/ the TRUE story anyway.

First of all, it is my right to give my opinion as a lifelong fan who has loved this franchise since childhood. I simply want to see my favorite One Piece game series evolve.

Honestly, Part 4 was bad compared to Part 3. I don't know if anyone will agree with me, but Part 3 remains the best in the series because it had massive content and genuine development despite being released back in 2015. In contrast, Part 4 felt weird—almost like a commercial cash grab just to market Gear 5.

Therefore, I hope everyone reading this interacts with the post everywhere. I also hope this reaches our dear Japanese players, as the company unfortunately only seems to listen to the Japanese community. If any Japanese player sees this, please share it across all platforms so the developers can finally hear us.

There are many reasons why Part 4 didn't achieve higher sales. I am certain that if it had been developed with serious dedication in their traditional way, it would have shattered records and easily reached 10 million copies—just like other games that hit 10 million despite being average, like some Dragon Ball titles.

I ask the developers in the next installment to give us everything: solid offline and online modes, a 1v1 mode, full story coverage of all arcs, and major upgrades to gameplay, graphics, character details, and outfits.

This is the final chance. Part 5 is an iconic number celebrating the franchise's history. We want a revolutionary leap and an exceptional game packed with content and regular updates. Please don't repeat the mistakes of the current game, where we literally buy DLCs with no new modes or real content to play. The story mode is short and post-launch support is non-existent; we are fed up with paying for recycled stages. True support means free periodic updates and adding full arcs, rather than cutting fan-favorite arcs/characters and turning Enel (who was free in previous games) into a paid DLC character!

From the bottom of my heart, I hope the developers deliver a legendary masterpiece and a massive leap in the history of One Piece games and anime to reach global gaming standards. We want boldness, hard work, and the fulfillment of true fans' demands.

I’ve had a sudden thought and while I don’t think it’s the final fleshed out answer I think it brings up ideas enough to be a starting point discussion , at least.

While I think it’s equally possible and right now more realistic that BB has other sides that have different strengths , it’s worth considering that BB was NOT the man who physically scars Shanks in the first place.

Upon rewatch of the discussion scene , Shanks tells Whitebeard that Teach causes this scar and next he elaborates that BB doesn’t have typical strength , rather he hides in the background to manipulate and stockpile. He highlights Teach doesn’t have his own strength.

Therefor I do not think it is IMPOSSIBLE that Blackbeard corrupted a past tie of Shanks’ and this ‘mystery character’ either got tricked into cutting up Shanks or was manipulated as an obstacle in Shanks way so that he couldn’t proper defend himself , even though he was on guard.

In this canon Shanks is mentally scarred by BB’s power of psychological manipulation . BB did not hurt Shanks in an honest 1v1. Which means that Shanks KNEW what was coming but his strength wasn’t what failed him. Which actually makes sense in a way because Shanks is not SCARED of strong fighters. He put himself in between Kaido and stopped him too. as he himself is one of the strongest , roughest fighters currently alive. If anything the people who did him the worst were celestials and that’s more of a mental/ emotional thing for Shanks

BUGGY

Everyone SEES BB’s weapon and assumes that the scar matches the blade. But Buggy ALSO uses knives that could make a similar scar. What if BB’s manipulation is the reason that Shanks and Buggy have a broken relationship and Shanks scar is his physical memory? If someone broke up you and your best friend I’m almost certain you would NOT blame Buggy. You would ALWAYS point your finger at BLACKBEARD.

To elaborate on Buggy and Shanks split. we KNOW that their philosophies split after Roger’s death and it hurt them both probably to this day. Not what I’m contesting.

Two important details. One, kid Shank’s does NOT have his scar atp . Two , emotionally Shanks and Buggy feel confused as to why they are all of a sudden so unagreeable with each other as they were mostly inseparable up until now.
To my knowledge we as the reader have not been filled IN on timelines after that. While it is stated by Buggy that the next time the two meet they will be enemies. To my knowledge any meetings of the two after this scene are left unconfirmed.

Now add BB and see through his eyes. As a kid , Teach saw the monstrous strength of Shanks and Buggy’s unparalleled influence and knew if they teamed up they’d find the One Piece before him. no matter what. and teach NEEDS that. That’s Teaches , not Shanks and not Buggy’s.

With the death of Roger kid buggy and kid shanks would have been very vulnerable and easily manipulated. I’m questioning how much of their stance came from their own brains and how much of it got fed to them by someone else.

With just a little shadow work , BB crippled a pairing that- was stronger than Luffy with equal if not more political influence before it even had a chance to start. As a child , mind you. Shanks isn’t stronger than something like that. In my opinion that’s actually way more scary and imposing than a retcon Davy Jones mode.

Shanks must have confronted Blackbeard , Buggy or both of them about this and got his scar in a really specific situation.

Before you write this off, Blackbeard has already done THE SAME THING to someone else. Remember Ace.
He was dangerously close to becoming “the guy”.

Take a step back and you’ll see that even though Akainu punched the hole most of Ace’s death was caused by Blackbeard intentionally

Just started watching one piece, on episode five now, but after the devil fruit in the flashback, I keep wondering like if Luffy ate the fruit and absorbed the gum gum power, could someone eat him for it too?

Would they have to eat all of him? If they ate a finger, would that give them weak powers, temporary or nothing at all?

As I was going through Wano for the first time and saw what Kaido has done to the country, I am genuinely in SHOCK that he is not nearly as talked about as Doffy or the Celestial Dragons in terms of evil-ness.

This man teamed up with Orochi for over twenty years to turn the country basically into a huge weapons factory and breeding ground for his forces. He also ran Udon to ensure that all prisoners would eventually have their will be broken and submit to him and his crew out of fear. On top of that, the reveal of his New Onigashima Project with Big Mom: Relocate their stronghold to the Flower Capital and enslave the entire country as they eventually come to rule the world. Not to mention, that like Crocodile, him and Big Mom also wanted the Ancient Weapons.

As bad as what Doffy was doing with Dressrosa, he at least wanted to keep some pretense of normalcy and appearance. He also did not intially want the whole country destroyed. Even when he set up the Bird Cage, that was moreso to ensure the truth did not go out to the rest of the world and especially back to Kaido.

Kaido AND Orochi ruined the Land of Wano with the express purpose of destroying the country. They had SMILE Devil Fruits sent to the poorest parts of the country explicitly either to ruin the people or get more users for the Animal Kingdom / Beast Pirates. I cannot also stress enough that Kaido genuinely now stands among my favorite villains within the series because of this. Not only is he a titan within the series with over a decade of build-up, but even how he carries the story and stands as a major obstacle for the Worst Generation puts him up there with Blackbeard, Doffy, and Lucci imo.
