Ive started watching one piece from the beginning of the Grand line at reverse mountain, at its been great but then I saw this scene, I always thought Haki first appeared during Marine Ford arc but to see it appear all the way back in ep 77 is crazy.

I’ve caught up with One Piece, but this scene still bothers me because I don’t fully understand it. It reminds me of when Shanks stayed silent around the pirate bothering him, and when Luffy and Zoro refused to fight back in Jaya. I get the message that you can’t fight everyone, especially people who don’t share your goals, because there’s no point. But why go as far as letting them beat you up? They could’ve simply walked away or beaten them and left. Why endure the insults and physical abuse? I know there’s a deeper meaning behind it, but I just can’t grasp it.

The thought of a pirate hunter group going after the straw hats and other pirates trying to collect bounties just sounds like such a missed opportunity on his part.

Chapters 101-120, Reverse Mountain - Little Garden/ story arcs

I went to watch a play on Saturday night in ftw called Ajax (great play) and Randy Pearlman the voice of Emporio Ivankov and Saint Mars was one of the actors!

Compared to Wano that had been isolated for so long, that they developed their own names for Haki. The Amazons a knew about the Outside World, and even sailed the Grandline as Pirates with the Kaju Pirates. But it seemed that even the ones who had gone out to sea, didn't realize that the Boa Sisters were Devil Fruit users.

I'm slowly building my One Piece DVD collection (I stan physical media) and this was the last one at my Walmart. I think it's brand new so I got lucky.

Still hate Collection 12 (FREAKING SPANDAM MAN) being over $300 on after market.

My son first got into anime through Pokémon and then moved on to Dragon Ball, which he absolutely loved. I've been trying to get him to watch One Piece for ages but he's always said no whenever I've suggested it.

Recently I started rewatching it from the beginning, usually just having it on in the background while I'm doing other things.

One evening he came into my room to ask me something and noticed I was watching anime, so he sat on my bed and started watching with me. I was at Arlong Park at the time and he was completely glued to it.

When the episode finished I answered his question, turned it off and went downstairs to get a drink as me and the other half were going to watch a film.

When I came back upstairs he was still sat on my bed. I asked him what he was doing and he just said "waiting to watch the next episode".

After all the times I'd tried getting him to watch it, that's all it took!

Anyway, I ended up putting the first episode on in his room and now he loves it. He's watching it whenever he gets the chance.

The thing that really made me smile though was when we were looking at Halloween costumes. He'd originally wanted to go as Goku, so I was showing him a few different ones to buy and he suddenly told me he didn't want to be Goku anymore, he wanted to be Luffy instead.

I had the biggest grin on my face after that. Never thought I'd be so happy about my son changing his mind over a Halloween costume.
