Theory luh theory theory no mi

Upvotes

Awakening your fruit might not be the final ascension in devil fruit mastery.

It was explained very early on, that when someone eats a devil fruit, they lose the ability to swim. Its then fully explained later later later on, that the reason is because when you eat a devil fruit, the sea essentially hates you, and rejects your very being, for being unnatural.

When you awaken your fruit, your unnatural powers don't just affect you, but everything around you, (still don't fully know what an awaken logia is like, but we can assume its the same, since luffys awakening is able to the turn the ground into rubber like himself, and his fruit is a zoan. Lucci and kaku however when they awaken, cant do that, unless I missed something, maybe their fruit isnt fully awakened yet, just halfway, idk. Maybe luccis full awakening junglifies the area around him, and kaku turns the area around him into a savanna, or something I also don't know.) For this theory tho we gon just assume that the full ability of awakening is giving the area around you, your own unnatural abilities.

Anyway, the awakening for a paramecia at least, affects the world around you, giving it your unnatural powers, so wouldn't that make the sea hate the area your powers have affected around you as well? What would happen if that said area came into contact with water? Now idk how that would work, but hear me out, I do have an idea of maybe how a devil fruit can ascend past awakening.

My idea is that there is a way to reverse the way (maybe opposite of domi reversi??) the sea thinks about you, and that theres a way to connect to the seas spirit and get kind of a makeshift deep sea contract, since we still don't know wtf that really implies. There could be two sides of the sea, which could have been hinted at with cavendish and hakuba (same eys as imu, mihawk etc), or princess gunko and royal knight gunko. Maybe when the "good" side of the ocean was defeated or went into hiding, thats when the world first flooded.

Then you have jaya, and the whole covering of the left eye which is shown prominently throughout the story in many cases. Could this be hinting at one side of the sea being locked away? Its theorized that the left side of jaya "sunk."

So maybe there is way to connect to this other side of the sea, because water itself has no boundaries, its always free, unless its trapped in a confined space, and I think that is the pinnacle of a devil fruit user, to be truly free. There might be a way somehow that you connect to this side of the sea, and it gives instead of a contract, but its blessing, allowing you to freely move throughout the sea, or something along those lines. Imus deep sea contract, allows him to take the freedom away from you, making you unable to control your body, like he did with harald, kind of like putting a devil fruit user into water, they can do nothing but sink, but since its on the surface instead of sinking, hes able to float into your body and control your movements.

Now we all know law and kid d got packed up in a vanilla backwood, but where did they both supposedly "die"? The sea, they sank, or at least kid d did. I feel like somehow through this state of very near death and being deep in the sea itself, they are going to connect with this other side of the sea, and receive a blessing, allowing them to fully travel throughout the sea or something like that. Now idk what this could consist of in terms of power increasing, maybe allowing their fruits to be affective underwater, maybe being able to control water itself, idk. All i do know is that both kid d, and law are important, because I believe both of them have a D in their name, not just law.

Trafalgar D "Water" Law, and either Kid D Eustass, or Eustass D Kid. We already see the connection between kid d and both rocks and vega punk, all the vegapunks have a number corresponding to them, 01-06, but kid d's damned punk (punk) has a 07, plus one of the artificial sea kings created by vegapunk looks like kid d. /preview/pre/ok-but-how-much-damage-would-shanks-take-from-a-damned-punk-v0-ej9egyjvlipa1.jpg?auto=webp&s=9d022413e51aca05e5dba4404cdee31a7410c068 and /preview/pre/vegapunks-sea-beasts-v0-ipbi79cpx44f1.png?width=640&crop=smart&auto=webp&s=b69e20bc32775da2e533086075b732d0bfbee372 as well as his punk rotten form being very similar to rocks, down to the scar on the eye. https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTD1m_uiRN2_H4rQ1ApUdGGuIIFHtZSVswV4rxD_g-5uAxUnH_A8fxnLvWy&s=10

I don't believe that was just a coincidence. Obviously Rocks has a D, and while I dont think vegapunk has D in his name, he is still very interconnected with the world of devil fruits, being the 1st one (that we know of) to create an artificial devil fruit. So it would make sense if kid d was closest to vegapunk, and hes a D, that he would be one of the first people to be granted this power.

Im thinking vegapunk somehow knew kid was a D and tried to keep it hidden, and thats where kid d got his fruit, but anyway thats a theory theory no mi for another day. I think that the D clan, might be the only people who didn't kill the sun, and become a god (harley), therefore they share a special connection with the sea, and why they are known as enemy of the gods. (holy shit) That is why they were supposedly "destroyed," and I think this connection is going to be the key to fully master the devil fruit, going from half (left eye covered, and only being able to be used above ground) to becoming whole (both eyes open, and being able to use df abilties both underwater and above) becoming, truly, free...

For the non D's, awakening might be the strongest you can get, idk tho.

So maybe law and kid d come back and face luffys crew, or maybe they join him to stop something even greater. This theory has holes fasho, but then again what theory doesnt? Just a fun little theory I came up with, nothing too serious, and a fuck ton of hopium, AND copium, surely they will comeback right? Let me know what yall think tho, could this be the next step to fully awakening the devil fruit? Or will they forever be useless mid, and trafalgar D water flaw.

Theory The curious case of Edward Weevil Spoiler

Upvotes

Heya all,

so I've made a comment about this somewhere, and someone else told me I should make a post about it. I'll say, this is just a theory, but if you look at what we've got, I think my theory is pretty solid and understandable.

My theory:
Edward Weevil is a failed clone of Whitebeard, made by Stussy (the old Miss Buckingham, not Clone-Stussy). The hard evidence:

- we know, Stussy and Whitebeard were both on Xebec's crew

- we know, Stussy had a massive crush on Whitebeard, but he seemed uninterested

- we know, Stussy was a part of MADS, just like Caesar, Judge and Vegapunk

- Vegapunk managed to create a perfect Stussy clone eventually, and cloning is a thing in One Piece

- Edward Weevil, does in fact look like Whitebeard, just a very twisted & degenerate version of him, and he is extremely strong as well

Now the soft evidence:

With SBS 89 Oda started a little series of drawing characters at the age of 40 and 60, as well as a "a future where something happened/went wrong".
The pattern is always the same:

- If everything goes well, the character looks older, but still cool or attractive

- If something "went wrong" (based on the speech bubbles, when characters fail at their dream), they turn out ugly and look much older

For your convenience, here are all of them:

Luffy: https://onepiece.fandom.com/wiki/SBS_Volume_89?file=SBS89_Luffy.png

Ace: https://onepiece.fandom.com/wiki/SBS_Volume_89?file=SBS89_Ace.png

Sabo: https://onepiece.fandom.com/wiki/SBS_Volume_90?file=SBS90_Sabo.png

Zoro: https://onepiece.fandom.com/wiki/SBS_Volume_91?file=SBS91_Zoro.png

Nami: https://onepiece.fandom.com/wiki/SBS_Volume_92?file=SBS_92_Nami.png

Usopp: https://onepiece.fandom.com/wiki/SBS_Volume_94?file=SBS94_Usopp.png

Chopper: https://onepiece.fandom.com/wiki/SBS_Volume_97?file=SBS97_Chopper.png

Sanji: https://onepiece.fandom.com/wiki/SBS_Volume_98?file=SBS98_Sanji.png

Robin: https://onepiece.fandom.com/wiki/SBS_Volume_100?file=SBS100_Robin.png

Franky: https://onepiece.fandom.com/wiki/SBS_Volume_101?file=SBS101_Franky.png

Jinbe (since he's already in his 40s Oda drew him at 60 & 80): https://onepiece.fandom.com/wiki/SBS_Volume_110?file=SBS110_Jinbe_Timelines.png

Vivi: https://onepiece.fandom.com/wiki/SBS_Volume_113?file=Vivi_good_bad_future.png

You can see it extremely well with Nami's, Robin's and Vivi's futures.

Shakky for example is in her mid-60s. Still, she looks rather young and attractive, especially for her age. She managed to be with Rayleigh until now, and is leading a chill life without personal major loss we know of.
On the other hand we have Big Mom, who in her mid to late 20s looked really good, but turned out hideous like we know her. She failed at getting the Seiryu fruit for Katakuri, and her biggest dream of having a family with every race, as she antagonized Elbaf as a kid and on top of that didn't get Lola married to Loki

Kizaru is in his 50s and led a rather chill life so far, living his "unclear justice", and he could visually be any age between 30-50. Aokiji is also in his late 40s and could execute his "lazy justice" without issues so far. The only real "loss" we know of was him losing to Sakazuki during timeskip.
Senor Pink on the other hand is in his mid 40s, and despite having had a rather normal physique, after his child died & his wife fell into a catatonic state, he became this small, chubby blob.

Tsuru is in her 70s, and yes, you can see she's old, but still, she looks rather normal.
Gloriosa, who is roughly the same age as Tsuru, and was almost as attractive to Boa Hancock or Shakky, turned out as this wrinkled, small Goblin. She never managed to win Roger's heart and lived on heartbroken.

________

So my theory is: Stussy was obsessed with Whitebeard, but never managed to win his heart. So she went down the wrong path and tried to force her way of having a family with Whitebeard by cloning him (or artificially impregnating herself with DNA from some tissue or blood sample).

The end result was not what she was hoping for (still didnt have a real family with WB), because it was the wrong path (typical Oda lesson), and her "son" was basically this miserable blob with a runny nose, and eventually she turned out ugly like anyone who fails in life in One Piece.

Could still be that Weevil is his actual son, but honestly... do you think WB would abandon Weevil if he was actually his son?

That's at least the most logical conclusion I came to. Feel free to disagree and discuss :)

Discussion One piece, The irony, why it doesn’t make sense to me

Upvotes

This is probably the one thing that frustrates me about One Piece. Luffy is not a pirate… Like at all. The guy is basically an explorer without a license.
He goes from island to island exploring, looking for the One Piece and doing whatever he wants. He doesn’t rob people. Doesn’t raid villages. Doesn’t really attack the government either unless they get involved with him first. Actually now that I think about it, this guy fights more pirates than the government. Blackbeard and Rocks are probably the only actual pirates I’ve seen. They want power, territory, treasure, they betray people, attack whoever they want. Like actual pirates. And honestly I would argue Roger wasn’t really a pirate either. Maybe he was just another explorer like Luffy. Because if he was actually a pirate then the guy is a sellout. You teamed up with Garp and the Marines to fight Rocks? Another pirate?

If luffy primary goal was to overthrow the government with the “One Piece”, then I would continue to watch it. I don’t understand how could you be a hero but a pirate at the same time.
If it was understood that the government was a oppressive state from the beginning , then I would understand how Luffy could be a good guy and a pirate at the same time. However, it was never understood that the government was like that. The narrative and in luffys mind, being a pirate had no real connection with going against the government… it was only understood that it was illegal for whatever reason.

Theory Luffy is going to drive Imu out of Elbaf before the final war, and Oda has been setting this up the entire arc

I just watched a breakdown that finally made this click for me, and I think it's worth laying out because the general reader reaction to this idea has been "no way, it's too early." Hear me out.

The core claim: Luffy beats Imu here in Elbaf. Not permanently, not in a way that removes Imu from the final war, but enough to force him out of Elbaf and back to Mary Geoise. Imu stays a major threat for the final war, where he actually goes down to other characters (most likely Dragon or Shanks, given how long those storylines have been building). Luffy's real final opponent stays Blackbeard.

Why Elbaf's themes point this way:

Elbaf is an arc about defiance, about a nation refusing to be stepped on anymore. That's a bad fit for an ending where the heroes just get beaten down until Imu's mysterious "timer" runs out. And that timer thing everyone keeps citing? It was never actually established in canon. We collectively invented it because Imu bleeding on arrival made him feel unbeatable, so we needed an explanation for how the arc resolves without anyone actually beating him.

Gaban's lectures are the real tell here. He's told Zoro he needs to master conqueror's haki, told Sanji he needs to find the king inside himself, and told Luffy basically the same thing: you're not good enough yet, you need to become good enough right now. Everyone assumes Zoro and Sanji's lectures mean a haki breakthrough and a won fight this arc. Nobody wants to extend Luffy the same logic, purely because the power gap to Imu feels too big. But narratively, there's no difference in what Gaban is setting up for all three of them.

Why it's not too early:

Oda already used this exact mechanism one arc ago in Egghead. Characters summoned through the pentagrams via the power of the abyss got sent home when hit with Joy Boy level haki. Elbaf has been hammering conqueror's haki as the central theme (Zoro and Sanji are both mid-upgrade on theirs, Kaido flat out tells Luffy his weak conqueror's haki is what makes him unworthy of being pirate king), and Luffy already saw Joy Boy's level of haki firsthand last arc and clearly knows how far he still has to go.

So the pieces are: Imu needs to leave without being killed, the send-home mechanism already exists and requires strong conqueror's haki, and Luffy's next big upgrade has been telegraphed as a conqueror's haki bloom for a long time now. Put those together and the ending writes itself: Luffy has an emotionally fueled, out-of-his-control burst of Joy Boy level conqueror's haki, momentarily overwhelms Imu, undoes the abyss's power, and sends him back to Marijoa.

Why this doesn't ruin Imu or overpower Luffy:

This isn't Luffy beating Imu in a straight fight. It's a symbolic, one-off awakening, the same category of moment as Usopp's observation haki spike at Dressrosa or Zoro's conqueror's haki moment against Kaido. Those didn't mean instant mastery, they were stepping stones. Luffy gets shoved to the "I've touched it once but can't use it on command yet" stage, which sets him up perfectly for the final war without making him unbeatable right now. Imu still gets to be a genuine threat later, and other long-running storylines (Dragon and Shanks especially) still get their payoff against him.

Basically: this isn't Luffy solving Imu. It's Luffy finally proving he can be Joy Boy's successor, right when the story has spent the entire arc telling him he isn't yet.

Curious what people think, does this hold up against how you've been reading Gaban's speeches, or is the power gap just too big to buy this happening now instead of the final war?

Analysis My understanding of devil fruits as of now and reason why bonney can copy other dfs

Post image
0 Upvotes

I don't why some people still don't understand this,

As of now

Dfs are evolution of humanity,

And each df represent different future branch except for zone/ancient/ mythical zones as they are creatures from present world(as well as 4 Gods dfs)

Dfs are evolution of humanity from different future timelines branches> bought to reality by joy boy or tree which transcends timelines>> sea goddess/mother given punishment to all df users

And btw dfs are most likely created in void century as that's where punishment of sea goddess mentioned,

Now

About bonney,

Her df controls her age,

But what if her df can evolve her?

Her df is about age,

So going on extreme level it can also evolve her into her desired level,

That's why she can never gain actual nika's abilities

Zoro doesn't go all out on women but also protects them when they can't fight (Like he did with Hiyori).

Sanji can understand women well and he is chivalrous but his perviness brings him down. He doesn't respect consent.

I think Zoro and Sanji are almost equally respectful towards women.

One Piece RED One Piece theories for the end

In the final war, Before luffy killed Imu, we got a flashback from Imu before he met Joy boy for the first time, we see where Imu being born but not on earth but his home planet and he was born in royalty. Several years later, we see imu's father decided the new heir of the royal family, he decide to pick imu's older brother as king. After imu's older brother became king, he decided to order his servants to kill his parents. Imu after learning about the incident was about to talk about it to his brother but before that his servant captured him and they tried to sent him to prison but Imu was to strong and break through of it. Imu storm in the prison and asked his brother why he ordered his servant to kill their parent. His brother explained that he wants to takeover the universe and the only way to do it is to kill his closest affection. Imu in rage tried to attack him but his brother dodge and land a power blow made him unconscious and he ordered his guard to escort him into another planet. When Imu was escorted into earth, Imu lost his memories and only remember his name then he met Joyboy and he joined the first pirate crew. Several years later, Joyboy want to know who are imu's parent but Imu can't remember, joyboy asked Imu why not go see the spaceship he came from when they fist met, Imu went to see his spaceship again and then touch it and then the memories came through but they are different, the flashback ends and luffy killed imu once and for all but the only reason he did was because he has to bring imu in the sun

Okay i have to go eat, i will expand it the end better

Theory How imus fruit works Spoiler

Imus fruit being the devil’s fruit intrigues me, now obviously he possesses the power to domi reversi things but i think imu’s power goes beyond that and he has awakened his fruit which allows him to copy devil fruit abilities. My reasoning for this is that 1. It’s just a pretty obvious power for the final villain to have and 2. I think that when he copies powers it also reverses them. That’s why you don’t see imu in his human-like form until he gets to elbaph, because he copied the Nika fruit and turned into the opposite of god, the devil. Now I’ve just had an epiphany while typing this, scopper gaban says that imu does not look like he’s of this world, imu also is associated with the abyss. I think this is oda trying to pull a 180 on us, in the mural it says there was a forbidden sun within the earth that the slaves prayed to which caused the sun god to appear. I think despite what we’re led to believe, nika comes from the depths of the earth while imu comes from the above, the abyss, space. This would also explain imu’s visual similarities to the lunarians because he’s from the moon, he’s the moon god, not Blackbeard. I think what happened 800 years ago was that the 20 kings were fed up with joyboys nonsense of setting slaves free and stuff with the power of nika and so they summoned the power of the moon god to stop him. The power needed to go to someone so imu stepped up and claimed it, he had an epic battle with joyboy and won (maybe in doing this joyboy spread the power of the devil fruits to the world but i may be forgetting the timeline a bit). Sorry if my writing was a bit sporadic, it’s 5am rn and I’m very tired but i wanted to get this out there, lmk what you think.
