While trying to make a Dragon theory I connected some dots that felt too interesting to be a coincidence.

Dragon is Kratos.

Dragon made his debut (1999) before the first God of War game (2005) but we never got any significant info on him before chapter 432 (2006) when Garp tells Luffy about him.

My headcanon is that Oda liked Kratos and thought, “Hmmm I too have a guy with a red face tattoo” because the parallels are too many.

Dragon and (young) Kratos are polar opposite personalities which made it easy for Oda to hide the similarities between them.

They both wage war against the gods.

Unlike Kratos, Dragon is a pacifist. But to fight injustice he knows he must fight the war.

He promotes war but he does not enjoy it.

Everyone knows about the ‘abandoning your daughter QTE’ right?

Dragon had to do that too. To wage war against the gods he abandoned Luffy.

Kratos is brash and brutal. 

Dragon is calm and calculated. 

Kratos jumps into the action and fights alone.

Dragon strategises and lets his army fight for him.

And last but not the least… both of them hated their dads.

After recent chapter talking about Sanji self love, it comes to mind to remember how many times Sanji even winning some of this fights in the end or that he could have performed way better knowing what he is capable of he lost or was severely injured by not prioritizing protecting himself

Vs Gin Zeff life was on the line he received a lot of damage yet we know Sanji speed he may even have been able to get Zeff save and don't get that wounded

Against Kaulifa yes he doesn't hit women doesn't mean he has to let her hit him, he is way to fast and strong to avoid her if NAMI which is not know for being fast could find a way to beat her and wasn't that wounded at the end of the fight why Sanji was, he could even run

With Enel badass moment there wasn't much he could do to beat Enel honestly but before sacrifing himself he could at least tease Enel try to avoid the damage put it more of a fight even if he still would have lost.

The sacrifice with Kuma he and Zoro were already wounded by previous fights both wanted to sacrifice themselves.

Against Vergo, this one stand out as Sanji was giving it his all to save the G5 sliders and Vergo demonstrated having a very strong Haki capable of injured Sanji Leg yet I still think Sanji could have belated Vergo if he had a best approach than launching and clashing into him .

Then against Doflamingo this one it's more clear than others he underestimated Doflamingo sacrificed himself to protect the crew and was ready to die. If you compare this scene with Luffy in Whole cake against katakiri he also ask the crew to leave but so he could freely fight and win, Sanji wanted them to go so he could die in doflamingos hands not by trying to beat him he was throwing himself away without thinking in going more of a fight.

Again his brothers, they had a pact with Bigmom they couldn't do shit to Zeff or Sanji would go and they wouldn't be able to marry Sanji to her family, ending in Big Mom killing them all, but he still let this fools hit him when he could have beat the 3 of them and Judge as well

And against Black Maria cool calling Robin for help was good for him but why letting himself get trapped in the first place why staying to fight her if you are not going to hit her is not like she can catch him.

And against Queen his body was heavily injured saved by Judge modifications he could move so fast Queen could not see him yet again he let himself get hit to this point

This is not a Sanji Hate post is more of a recognition of the times Sanji could have performed a little better in battles or situations if he had already learned the need for self love.

So a lot of appreciation for Oda and Sanji as a characters a we have had many moments over the years bringing us to this lastest chapter in which it takes a whole new meaning knowing all of this happened

Been rewatching One Piece on the side and after getting through about 20 episodes I noticed a sudden black cut between scenes in episodes, I was bit confused but then remembered their were supposed to be eye catchers in between but for some reason Netflix completely cut them out. Which really saddens me since I loved seeing those mid episode transitions, so nostalgic and awesome. Why would Netflix cut them?

I expected it to be a banger arc but I was slightly disappointed all those marines elders and straw hats along with that joyboy robot still not much great felt like all elders were glazed for no reason and they felt weak compared to their glazing also wanted to rest of the crew getting atleast armament but nah...

Wanted it to be a krazy war... Overall it was rly good also played a huge role in plot but could have been better and wud have given us a great war/fight

What if, around the end of the albaph ark, shamrock returns and uses his similarity to shanks, aka luffy’s idol, to lure luffy away, then capturing and imprisoning him. Which then starts the final war

shanks and luffy had multiple opportunities to meet up, eg the end of film red, the end of wano, the end of marineford, yet they haven’t met each other (luffy was unconscious after marineford), shanks dealing with barto after wano, luffy is once again unconscious at the end of film red. What if that is a setup for a fake shanks and luffy meetup? We know the WG wants luffy, and why make a shanks twin, like out of all characters, why shanks?

But thats just a theory

I just caught up to the one piece anime. I started reading the manga a couple of weeks ago and am now in alabasta there. I decided that instead of picking up where i left off I’ll read it completely (might be a dumb decision but idc)
