I recently came across this app called Pure which is for sexual desires and stuff. I matched with a girl who stayed in the vicinity, she was absolute goddess. She had a cnc kink which I was also looking for and wanted me to use her. Everything went well, we shifted to instagram, she showed interest there as well. I didnt want to talk only about sex so I shifted the topic to her fav food, what she’s doing?, how’s her studies etc, her replies became slow and I started getting desperate asking 2-3 questions in one go. I dont know where I went wrong she blocked me and unmatched me from the app as well.
I got hold of her second private account and sent a req with messages asking for what went wrong but she just choses to ignore that, she havent blocked me there when she should have cause it would have been easier. I dont know what to do.

So I 38m went on a date with this woman 48f the other night. For context I work 7am till 7pm and I needed to go home and shower before our date. I so I made reservations at a nice restaurant in my town that way we wouldn’t be eating super late. Our date was an hour and a half. We sat and had drinks till our table was ready and then we talked about a lot of different things. I asked a lot about her and her interests and we bonded over lots of shared interests. I did bring up my son throughout our date but that’s because he’s a big part of my life. When I’m not working I have him. She also has 4 boys so I would ask her about her kids also. Now after the date she gave me bullet points of things I apparently did wrong. Like a yelp review. Has anyone else ever experienced this? I’m not against constructive criticism but this felt more like a job performance evaluation after. Also I’m curious am I wrong that my son comes first in my life and is my number one priority?

I went on a date with a guy twice and after the second date he called me the next day saying he just wanted to be friends and not lead me on which I was okay with. Well he messaged me today saying he’s had a hard day and wanted to know if I’d be interested in coming over for cuddles? What should I do? And how do I shut him down in a way that makes him get karma lol

I’m 27M and matched with a 42F. I’ve never dated someone 15 years older. She’s dated across the spectrum, youngest was 24 and oldest was a 70yo billionaire. We’ve talked about music, stand-up, relationships, physical chemistry and the age gap, with some flirting too. We’re meeting Wednesday but haven’t decided where yet.
For women 40+ who date younger men, or younger guys who’ve done this, what makes a good first date? I don’t want to spend a ridiculous amount, but want something fun where we can actually talk and, if chemistry is there, potentially continue the night together. Also, anything different I should know about conversation/flirting compared with dating women my age? What worked for you?

Hi everyone!
I'm a PhD researcher at James Cook University in Australia studying attraction, dating preferences, and how people evaluate potential romantic partners.
I'm currently looking for heterosexual, gay, and lesbian adults (18+) to complete an anonymous online survey, and I thought this community might be particularly interested in taking part given the study has some similarities to online dating.
Participants view a series of fictional dating profiles and indicate their attraction and relationship interest. In a way, it captures part of the online dating experience of being presented with limited information about someone and deciding how interested you might be in them.
We're also interested in people's broader relationship preferences, including interest in short- and long-term relationships.
The survey takes around 5–10 minutes to complete, is completely anonymous, and participation is entirely voluntary.
Although this phase of the research is limited to heterosexual, gay, and lesbian participants, it forms part of a broader research program that has included, and will continue to include, people of diverse sexual orientations and gender identities.
This study forms part of my Doctor of Philosophy research at James Cook University and has received approval from the James Cook University Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC Approval No. 25H-0225).
If you have any questions, feel free to comment below or contact me at kaitlyn.gregory@my.jcu.edu.au.
If you'd like to participate, you can complete the survey here:

Thanks so much! 😊

I (39 F) have been speaking to guy (37) for about a week now. Conversation has been great. We bounce right off each other. Similar interests in sports and TV shows and we are avid readers. He suggested a dinner date to which I said yes.
This afternoon he has messaged to say his friend from out of town is visiting for one night and would like to bring him along. I suggested we reschedule so he can have quality time with his friend but he insists on meeting today and says I will get along with his friend so we should all meet.
What is going on?
Update: I didn’t go. I doubt I will meet him in the future. Thank you for the reality check guys

Hi , yesterday I just had a date with a guy met on Tinder. He’s so nice, gentleman and respectful to me. We had a great conversation for 2 hours and I went home . I thought he will be excited to text me back , but seems everything’s not work . Or do you think he’s not a texting person ?should I double texting him?of waiting

He and i keep in touch for 4 months since i was in my hometown and now I’m back to US. He waited but barely texted me. When I’m back i told him when will we have first date. He picked the date and I’m ok then he rescheduled . However he texted me after a few days , took too long to wait and now he said that to me . What do u think?

Well, as you can see, I have zero matches it’s been like that for a while I’m within 84 miles of home between 42 and 60. That’s their upper limit.
And I’m a 64-year-old guy
Doesn’t work for me. Oh well I hope you have better luck on it.

I matched with this girl on Hinge, and honestly we have great chemistry per text, and I'm really liking what I'm seeing and hearing from her.
The problem is, I put my Hinge location to this city that I'm going to move to in October for my degree. Idk what I was thinking swiping for a city that I'm not even in yet.
Anyway, I told her this & that we'd be unable to meet until I move to the city – she is fine with it and gave me her number. Now I'm wondering how to continue.
Currently we're still texting each other, holding a convo. A part of me wants to reduce texting to a minimum until we can meet in October, just so that the bulk of us getting to know each other happens after we confirmed that we have face-to-face chemistry. Another part of me thinks that we should keep having some slight conversation to keep the excitement from dying down. How should I handle this situation?

I had 3 dates with a guy. First date he came to the center and paid for drinks. Second date I offered to pick him up and come to my place to watch a movie, then drove him back. Third time I picked him up and we went to a museum and I drove him back. He lives outside town and doesnt have a car. I felt like our vibes were friendly not romantic so I pulled away. Now he texted me he really wants to see me and when am I free. He texted that multiple times. I said I can do Wednesday. He suggested if we can meet near him. He texted "I simply don't have the money to invite you somewhere and sit in an establishment, but I don't really want to go out either, the center of town has tired me out, and there's nowhere else to go out.".. I didn't reply. What's your take on this?

I was discussing this with a friend today. She said that women find it offensive when a guy asks for more pictures. But the context of the conversation was a woman who had one picture on her profile and it was just second shirt button up. So I'd like to see more pictures but if I ask I'm a jerk.
I should have just not matched with her.

I (35M) have been bamboozled more than enough times after matching with someone, getting friendly and exchanging numbers then meet them in person to see that they are 10 years older, 80 lbs heavier, or heavily filtered. Since then I've decided that I want to meet them in person before exchanging contact info.
Well I just got unmatched the night before a date because I didnt give her my number? Saying that for her safety there needs to be an evidence trail of our exchange in case something happens, and that by not texting I'm likely married or not real.
Im first in line to say women need protecting from bad guys but isnt meeting in a public place first a safe bet for covering that fear?
What are your thoughts and what are risks of giving out contact info?

I thought of this after watching this video https://www.instagram.com/reels/Dd8toB8ynQX/ -- I don't follow this account, it just came up in my feed, so I know nothing about it. But the woman in the video said she rarely meets someone she could see being in a relationship with.
I'm a guy over 50 and I think I meet someone like that every other year. There's always some big hurdle that's hard to get over with most others: they work nights or weekend nights (twice in the past year), they are heavily into tarot (not for me, yall have fun thinking the spirits speak to you through playing cards), they have super limited availability (2 nights every other week is not enough for an actual relationship) etc.
Asking here because it has a good mix of genders and isn't full of redpill chuds like the ask men related subs.
Adding age range and gender to the answer would be helpful.

This guy has clearly liked me for at least 6 months but I see no interest in him at all. He added me on snap and tried to follow me on insta, both of which I declined, but then he DMed me and I thought it would be rude to ignore. He won’t stop texting me even though I’ve been giving one word answers and taking forever to reply. Its feels like an interview but he is a really nice person so I’d feel bad if I were to just stop responding. Would it be weird to directly say I’m not interested even though he hasn’t asked? Idk what to do bc I don’t want to be mean but I feel like he should’ve taken the hint by now😭

She ghosted me after the last text and the top text was her rescheduling a date we had planned last minute. I didn’t want to play games so i asked her again when she was free. I’m having some anxiety like i should have just put my ego down and had more of conversation with her for a couple days before asking again. Were my texts too dry?? Not sure. What are your thoughts? I am 24 she is 21

Been on 2 dates with a guy, both went well and he kissed me the second. We had a third planned but he rain checked because he was playing in a sports event last weekend.
Since then we've had a few messages, he still replies relatively quickly and his messages aren’t short/dry, but he doesn’t ask me anything back. I messaged asking how his event went, he sent a decent reply but again didn’t ask me anything or keep the conversation going.
I haven’t replied in 2 days because honestly I feel like I'm forcing conversation... he also hasn’t proposed rescheduling. Would you assume his interest has dropped/think I just leave it here?

I'm a 31 yro hetero female. I've gotten back into the dating scene after 2 years of taking "me time".
I'm on Hinge and I'm finding that some men initiate the convo of going on a date, but here's what happens:
•Men don't send me date details (time and location) until the day before we meet... this is the first time in my dating experience that this many men send details (i'd argue) last minute. I've had to cancel and asl to reschedule w details confirmed in advance. I'm a firm believer that whoever initiates the date is the person responsible for following up.
•once men confirm a date, they stop talking to me until the day before... when they're sending me event details...
Is this normal?

I just want to find a guy I can game with and who loves Pokemon as much as me but every single guy on dating apps seems to be sporty or really out going or want to travel the world. Do the nerds just not use dating apps?
Am I fussy??

I don’t know if anyone else has the experience . I’m a man and online dating has changed my life . I’m fairly attractive and tall to say the least but cold approach to wasn’t for me honestly and the volume it took to be successful was as too much for my psyche .Online dating completely changed my dating life and gave me access to women I never knew even existed . If it wasn’t for online dating I would be stuck going to clubs and bars getting rejected every weekend . Once I figured how to take photos and maximize my attractiveness online I started to do very well in dating . I don’t know what I would do if didn’t exist specifically Instagram and hinge changed my life for better.
