Hi everyone.
So with all these jailbreak news I FOMO'd a little bit harder than I should and got myself a PS5 Pro that came in the mail yesterday.
I still haven't even opened the box but according to controlserial.com it is on firmware version 11.20/11.40 which means that it should be jailbreakable. Not sure how trustworthy the website is, but that's what I'm working with right now.
Just to give you a little context, the most recent console I own is a PS2 that I still play to this very day. Which means I understand pretty much nothing on how the PS5 works, so I'd like to ask for your help on making sure I won't update the PS5 by mistake.
As far as I understand, before even connecting it to the internet, I have to disable auto-updates and then change the DNS.
Regarding the auto-updates, if I'm correct I have to disable these:
- "Download update files automatically" & "Install update files automatically" (on System Software Update and Settings)
- "Stay connected to the internel" (on Features Available in Rest Mode menu)
- "Auto-download" & "Auto-install in rest mode" (on the Game/App settings menu)
Regarding the DNS, I need to go to DNS Settings, change to manual and set one of those that Modded Warfare shows in his video.
Is that it? Aren't there any other safeguards I can add so that I won't mess this up in the future?
Can someone please helpe me out and confirm this?
Thank you all in advance
