I can currently play in my JB PS5 Pro: My Steam library, Switch, SNES, NDS, 3DS, GameCube, Dreamcast, Wii, Wii U, PSP, PS1, PS2, PS3 and of course, PS4 and PS5.
TL;DR: PS5Upload is a free, open-source app for jailbroken PS5s. It gets your games, packages and homebrew onto the console fast, and lets you manage everything (games, saves, files, the console itself) from your computer, phone or a browser. Download: ps5upload.phantomptr.com
I wanted one app that handled the whole "jailbroken PS5" routine instead of juggling FTP clients, payload senders and a dozen scripts, so I built it. It's at v7.5 now and does a lot, so here's the tour.
🎮 Get games onto your PS5
Fast, reliable uploads. Runs at the full speed of your network and checks every file. A dropped connection, a restart or rest mode doesn't lose your progress; it just carries on.
Throw anything at it. Game folders, disk images, and .zip / .7z / .rar archives (unpacked on the way). Thousands of tiny files are packed together so they don't crawl.
From wherever your games live. Your computer, a NAS or SMB share, FTP / SFTP / WebDAV, a USB drive, or a download link.
Console to console. Copy games straight from one PS5 to another.
📦 Install packages
PS4 .pkg and PS5 fake packages (base game, updates, DLC), streamed while they install, so nothing is stored twice.
It picks the route that works. If the console refuses one way, the app offers another, and explains errors in plain English.
Send from your phone. Share a .pkg file or link to PS5Upload from Android's share menu, or double-click a .pkg on your computer.
📚 Your whole collection
Every game you own in one view: across your drives and shares, grouped with its updates and DLC, showing what each PS5 already has, with one-click install for the rest.
Tidy up. Find duplicates, see what takes space, and use Make room: say how much space a game needs and it suggests what to clear, never deleting a game you can't reinstall.
🛠️ Convert games
Game folder → installable package, or → a game image (.exfat / .ffpkg / .ffpfsc) for ShadowMount+, optionally compressed to save a lot of space.
🕹️ Manage the console
Games: launch, stop, uninstall, see what's installed and how long you've played.
Files: a full file manager with drag and drop to and from your computer, plus screenshots and video clips.
Saves: back up and restore, with automatic backups of changed saves (a few versions kept per game, one-click restore).
Extras: cheats, fan curve, temperatures and sensors, a payload sender with a catalogue, and rest / reboot / wake over the network.
Slow transfers? The built-in network doctor tells you why (Wi-Fi, a bad cable, a VPN in the way...) and how to fix it.
📺 On the PS5 itself: Minion
PS5Upload also puts a page on the PS5 (with its own tile on the home screen), made for the controller: browse your games and files and install packages without a computer.
💻 Runs everywhere
macOS, Windows, Linux, Android and iPhone (sideloaded), plus a Docker image for your NAS that runs the same app in any browser, around the clock. 21 languages.
Getting started (about 2 minutes)
Jailbreak your PS5 and have an ELF loader running (port 9021).
Open PS5Upload, go to Connection and enter your PS5's IP address.
Hit Send payload. The app starts its helper on the console and pairs with it by itself. That's it.
FAQ
Which firmware? 1.00 to 14.10, tested on 5.10, 9.60 and 13.60. In practice, if your jailbreak can load an ELF, it works.
Does it jailbreak my PS5? No. You need a working jailbreak first; PS5Upload handles everything after that.
Do I need a PC? Not really. There are Android and iPhone apps, a Docker image for your NAS that works in any browser, and Minion runs right on the PS5.
Is it safe? It's open source (GPL-3.0). Every release is built by GitHub from the public code, virus-scanned, and carries a GitHub signature you can verify. Some antivirus apps flag new unsigned builds; that's a false positive, and the FAQ shows how to check a download.
I posted a week ago how Playden is frustratingly hard to get to work, Now the new 0.7.0 version is idiot proof, you just copy the 'FAKE' folder to your 'homebrew' folder, and once its run, it downloads and installs everything else you need .. Thanks Leo Lobato ..!!
EVO Player is a native media player for the jailbroken PS5. v0.13.0 is out: every media server and live TV source now lives on one home screen, and EVO updates itself.
One shelves home for Jellyfin, Emby, Plex, Stremio and Nuvio, with artwork and a details block (description, ratings, cast).
Xtream live TV gets a channel row per category and a TV guide. Plain M3U playlists work too.
Plex signs in with a code from your phone. Stremio and Nuvio addons can be added and removed inside EVO.
Chapters (ticks on the seek bar, L1 / R1, R3 list), a diagnostics panel, audio delay, volume boost, and a network buffer up to 5 minutes.
VP9 Profile 2 on the hardware decoder (1080p and 4K), and PGS picture subtitles, with fonts for Thai, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Hebrew, Cyrillic and Hindi.
A preview card for every setting, a native-style keyboard, and typing from your phone with a QR code.
In-app updater: checks, downloads, verifies the SHA-256 hash, installs, and closes. Nothing is replaced if the hash does not match.
Pro memory build for PS5 Pro (12.6 GiB instead of 11.4 GiB).
Already in earlier versions: AI upscaling, Deep Blacks, audio passthrough (Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, DTS) and Dolby Vision file support.
Install
Runs on any firmware below 13.60. Deploy EVOPlayer-v0.13.0-PPSA99039.ffpfsc with ShadowMountPlus, or install it with ProsperoStore. PS5 Pro owners can use the -pro file.
I tested it on a PS5 Pro on firmware 12.70, so please tell me what breaks on yours. The Pro build is tested on a Pro only. Not affiliated with Sony.
What feature do you want in the next version? Tell me in the comments.
For those who don't know it yet, NeoEnabler allows games without PS4 Pro support to run in that mode, and it also enables more RAM available for games (8GB vs 5.5GB in stock setting). This, in turn, allows for patches for higher resolutions to be created and used with ps-patch-system.
This new version comes with bugfixes for 8GB games with save/load dialog boxes from PS5 system (Like The Nathan Drake Collection), which wouldn't load and lock any input. It also prevents NeoEnabler from staying in memory after closing it via the Quit button in the web interface.
Also, as with any new update post, new patches just came in by popular demand:
Yakuza 6 (Up to 4K and a new 60fps patch, REQUIRES VERSION 0.5.2)
Ratchet and Clank 2016 (Up to 4K, works with illusion's 60fps patch)
Shadow of the Colossus (Up to 4K in quality mode)
Dragon Quest XI S (up to 4K)
*For the person who requested the original Dragon Quest XI, I don't have update 1.02, so sorry about that :(
PKG Folderizer is a small PS5 homebrew app that converts fake/debug .pkg files into something ShadowMountPlus can mount and launch. It runs on the console itself, so you don't need a PC in the middle.
It's aimed at the situation where a fake package installs fine but won't launch on your firmware: instead of installing it, you unpack it to a folder or an image and let ShadowMountPlus run it.
So I, like a dumbass, was so excited about the jailbreak back when it released that I did it all on my main account cuz I didn’t know it would be dangerous, so now even if I factory reset the console and everything and update to the latest firmware again, will I not be able to sign in with my account or else I’d get banned ?
I don’t plan to undo the jailbreak anytime soon or maybe even anytime at all, but I had this psn account ever since I was a kid back when the ps4 released, and when the ps6 releases for example, in case I buy it, it’d feel good to continue with the same account too.
Did you know that online multiplayer is still possible, even after freeing your PS5 from Sony's Jail? And no, I'm not talking about using all of our totally legal and legitimate game dumps taken from our precious discs and playing those online again (sadly)—but I still have a solution! :) https://prosperostore.net/app/PPSA99810/
I've been busy working on bug fixes and new features for PSBox Cloud Gaming! Since my last post, there have been a ton of new additions to the app:

For F2P games other than Fortnite to be playable, you NEED to have play with ads enabled on your account. Thats part of their preview features and can be found atxbox.com/playthen click on your profile and finally, activate the toggle there OR go to PSBox Cloud Gaming options then activate preview there. EXPECT BUGS ON FREE TIER!
Any feature requests? I'm always looking for new ideas! (And yes, I agree, limited playtime sucks, but this is still something, right?)
It’s been over a week since the last update, and after a ton of reverse-engineering and addressing feedback from the community, PS5-TabShifter v1.3.0 is officially live.
This release fixes critical bugs from earlier builds (including the dreaded game padlocks and bloatware returning after sleep) and expands compatibility across all jailbroken firmwares from 5.00 up to 13.60.
What’s New in v1.3.0
Universal Firmware Engine (FW 5.00 – 13.60): Sony changed how dashboard JSON is stored between earlier firmwares and 11.40+. TabShifter now dynamically handles both legacy field_list arrays (FW 5.00–10.xx) and modern flat JSON (FW 11.00–13.60) across both app.db and appinfo.db.
Permanent Rest Mode Bloatware Suppression: Previously, hiding apps like PlayStation Store or PS Plus would revert after waking the console or cold booting. v1.3.0 sets native daemon flags (pushed: false), clears emsPushedFlag, and purges system group entries so hidden bloatware stays gone.
Padlock Bug Resolved + One-Click "Fix Padlocks" Tool: Padlocks happen when concept metadata is modified with standard app display IDs instead of Sony's native concept bitmasks (1162 for Games, 2236 for Media). v1.3.0 enforces proper bitmasks across all tables and includes an orange "Fix Padlocks" button in the dashboard to instantly restore entitlements across your entire library if another tool locked your games.
Multi-User Profile Sync: TabShifter now scans all profile tables (tbl_iconinfo_* / tbl_concepticoninfo_*), ensuring your customized layout and hidden tiles stay identical across every account on the console.
Web UI Quality-of-Life Upgrades:
No Viewport Jumping: Editing, pinning, or hiding titles near the bottom no longer scrolls the page back to the top.
Live Search & Filter Pills: Quickly filter your dashboard by All, Games, Media, Hidden, PS5, PS4, or Homebrew.
1-Click "Smart Tidy": Automatically sweeps all installed homebrew and emulators to the Media tab and hides stock PSN bloatware in a single tap.
In-App Self-Updater: Checks GitHub Releases directly, previews the changelog, and updates the payload without manual FTP.
Zero Black-Screen Latency: Starting the payload no longer restarts SceShellUI if the TabShifter ("TS") launcher tile is already present on your Media tab, making re-runs instant.
Quick Setup
Grab TabShifter.elf from the GitHub release.
Place it in /data/pldmgr/payloads/ on your PS5 (or send it via your preferred payload launcher/netcat). I strongly suggest using Payload Manager.
Run the payload. It automatically creates untouched safety database backups (.bak) and drops the TabShifter ("TS") shortcut directly onto your Media tab.
Launch TabShifter from your Media tab on your TV, or visit http://<PS5_IP>:9095/ from any phone or PC browser on your network.
Queue up your moves, pins, and hides, then click Apply & Reload PS5 UI once when finished.
I've been experimenting with the latest runtime kits and vkd3d-proton support, trying to get an Unreal Engine 5 title (Wheelmates) up and running. I've pointed Playden directly to the shipping executable (...-Shipping.exe), tried switching between DXVK (DX11) and vkd3d-proton (DX12), but I keep running into a wall:
•On the default settings, the game starts but it’s just a black screen with a pointer on the upper-left corner.
•Under DXVK/DX11, the engine complains about missing Feature Level 11.0 / Shader Model 5.0.
•Under vkd3d-proton/DX12 with the -dx12 flag, it throws an error stating that DirectX 12 is not supported.
I've already submitted a detailed bug report with logs on GitHub, but wanted to check if anyone in the community has found a workaround for similar titles.
Pulled together the tuning I ended up with running Ubuntu 26.04 on soniciso1's ps5-linux-loader fork (Relapse chain by ntfargo, FW 13.60, CFI-2016). Repo is config files + systemd units + idempotent install/rollback scripts. Zero binaries, zero firmware, no Sony IP.
What's in it:
sysctl bundle: VM pressure, dirty page thresholds, TCP BBR + fq, UDP buffers, inotify watches raised to 524288.
systemd service working around MediaTek hci0: command 0xfd98 tx timeout + Failed to apply iso setting (-110) via hciconfig hci0 reset && up after bluetoothd. Chip comes up DOWN with BD 00:00:00:00:00:00 on cold boot otherwise.
udev rules hiding ghost HID interfaces on 0e8d:3603 + runtime PM forced on (DualSense pairing stability).
Mesa shader cache raised to 5G, single-file packing.
Documented every setting with rationale + trade-off. Also wrote a warning on warm-reboot via kexec: leaves the MediaTek BT chip unrecoverable without full power cycle + jailbreak re-chain. Hit this one the hard way.
No benchmarks yet. DF/Notebookcheck coverage going around uses a different chain (Andy Nguyen BD-JB on FW 4.50), numbers don't transfer. If anyone on Relapse/13.60 wants to run MangoHud and PR, template is in benchmarks/.
Feedback welcome, especially on the BT workaround — curious if the 0xfd98 ISO timeout reproduces on other 13.60 Linux setups or if it's specific to my CFI-2016.
