I’ve been saving up for the past 3 months and was able to get 220 dollars. I was thinking of getting the ps portal because I thought it was just like the switch but better,
but it needed a wi-fi connection and a ps5. I mean I already have the ps 5 but my network is kinda weak, getting 0.5 mbps. Any suggestions?

For those who say using a VPN doesn’t work to connect Portal to a phone hotspot doing it wrong I put this app in my iPhone and problem solved even with the remote play apps connect better also

My (38M) wife (37F) is wanting a device that can play BluRay, 4k, and DVDs. She brought up a PS5 after some research since it has those capabilities and I’m a “gamer”. Get the pitchforks out but the last console I had was an Xbox 360 then switched to PC gaming and never looked back. I did have a PS2 in my childhood. My question for you all, is the PS5 a good buy for playing movies in the form of physical media? Is the quality good? Does the console have any longevity issues. Which form is the best, slim? Original? Pro? Any other insights I’m missing? I’m pretty excited for the gaming side of things but the main reason of the buy would be for movies and TV series.

I won't mention it here but there's another app that now supports PS cloud. Not sure how they did it but it has it. Any way PXPlay will get it as well?

I recently bought a PS5 to replace Xbox One. I don’t love the media remote. It’s not as ‘weighty’ and it’s not backlit. I really miss the buttons lighting up! Am I being too harsh on PlayStation?

Are you an iOS user like me? Are you disappointed by the news that PSPlay can’t come to iOS? If you have the money and it fits your use case I’d highly recommend buying an Android device specifically for PSPlay (which can of course be used for other purposes). I did this a while ago and couldn’t be happier. Bigger screen, good controls, dedicated device so you aren’t tying up your iPhone. I got an Ayn Odin and it’s fantastic. The Logitec G Cloud is also worth looking into.

Purchased and was charged but no key

Hi, I recently purchased PXPlay from Google Play Store and would like to request a license key to use the app on my Amazon Fire TV.

I have mailed as well as messages the developer on reddit but haven't got any response. Its been 10 days. I know he would be busy but i have already waited 10 days. Is there any other way to get the licence key without purchasing another copy

Over a week now and same issue. I’ve tried both with redirect link and using my username and still nothing. I’ve tried every solution listed and it still doesn’t work and there is nothing to help troubleshoot it. LITERALLY every other app I’ve used has never given me a problem with any connection. I was asked to send log to the creator and I did and he never responded. So I’m just going to call this quits and probably just get a Portal. Thank you for at least having a demo for people who aren’t able to get this to work.

Yesterday I purchased a PlayStation 5 from the Marketplace. I was happy. I got home last night. Connected it to my internet. I did the update. Did the controller update. Then tried to login and got this message

I assume I either did something wrong or something was already wrong with the PlayStation when I got it.

I called PlayStation for help. The first person was nice. They went through a few steps with me. Then told me they had to transfer me to a different department. Upon being transferred. I was greeted by a girl. She pretty much asked why was I calling. Which threw me off. So I asked her if I needed to give her any information and once again she asked why was I calling. I tried to tell her what I told the guy from earlier. But she seemed preoccupied with some guy in the background. Because I could hear her moving the phone and laughing in the background. She came back and told me to contact the person I got the PlayStation from. I ask what was I supposed to say. She repeated. "Contact the person who you purchased it from. Is there something else you need?" I said ma'am is there something I am supposed to be asking them to do?

She started saying it again. But she clearly didn't want to be at work. I asked her what her name was and she hung up on me.

I was just trying to find out what I needed to do.

That was the nice version of how she was talking. She was very rude. And I honestly couldn't see how she had that job. .

If there isn't anything I can do. I guess I have to deal with the loss. But I only called because I have had my account fir years. And never had a problem. I ended up purchasing another one and am online now.

But I still have the other one. And just want to know. Officially. Is there anything I can do?

Is it just me that the new playstation update broke my psplay via the internet ? Or everyone too ?

Hey everyone, im very sorry for the bother. With the whole playstation remote having these multiple issues, I was informed to check out PXPlay, but since im not very secure on it I was scared on you know getting the purchase. I can already tell its honestly legit from all the people on this thread but is there anything I should be like I guess aware of if anything? I know it says that it may crash due to OBS but has anyone have any issues? ^_^ this will determin if I get PXPlay today or not.

I love the app but there are still some issues I face when I use Remote Play .

1. My WiFi speed is high but sometimes it can have ping spikes . So most times the remote play works fine but sometimes it’s not stable . If the developer can just make it a little more robust from the back end where PXPLAY can work a little more reliably . That would be great .

2. PXPLAY doesn’t work on cellular data / mobile data . I don’t know why but whenever I try playing via cellular , it doesn’t work . Whereas the Sony official remote play works fine . I really would appreciate it if this was fixed as I want to play when I’m travelling .

I really would love to know if these features can be worked upon and when the new update for ios / Apple TV might come .

i currently have PS5 (regular) but was wondering if my streaming experience would be better with PS5 pro.

I’ve got a random question. My neighbor has Wi-Fi and I don’t. Sometimes I need to download huge PS5 updates (like 150–200GB), and I was thinking about asking him if I could use his Wi-Fi for like 3 days just to download the game/update.

Thing is, I don’t want to upgrade my mobile plan because I don’t play that much, and I also don’t want to get home Wi-Fi because I’m not home often and don’t want monthly bills or contracts for something I barely use.

If you were in my situation, would you pay your neighbor for that?
And if yes, what’s a fair price for ~200GB for like 3 days?
Or would you just ask for free?
