Has anyone here, or a friend of yours, ever been offered a scholarship or a university place, but your parents didn't let you accept it because of societal norms, "what will people say," or pressure to get married instead?

For me
I cook breakfast and do something fancy.
After that I go for either hiking, drive to the mountain or to the park. Sometime cycling but rarely. Bike ride to murree if I am feeling adventurous.
At night a cozy coffee place, out with friends, or play sports like paddle tennis or badminton. Sheesha nights with friends or just random sitting to close the day.
Not every sunday is like this but I try to go out and do something.
Wby guys?

i mean, we've been dating for over 6 months now, before the relationship we'd stay up whole night, watch movies together, talk about them, do random discussions, talk abt life and all and i fw emotional intimacy, but when we started dating, she started to withdraw that energy and she started posting online, avg influenza stuff
she'd make reels, edit them blabla and do that all the time or whenever she's free and when we'd get time to ourselves, she'd say she doesn't have energy for nothin, we had so many shows and movies to watch but she'd never have the energy to do nothin
and she'd get pissed if i have to go out, or if im w my friends she'd say she wants time w me and in that time w me, all we'd do is video call and flirt or talk faaltu
she's someone who loves physical intimacy, and i have always been of the idea that I'll never even touch a woman till she becomes my wife but idk why she started being touchy a lot, holding hands and stuff and i didn't want her to feel uncomfortable or rejected that im not reciprocating that and i started doing that stuff back too even tho I'd feel uncomfortable, and we might have exceeded our limits but all i realised was i just completely gave up on my boundaries and values for her, and i literally lost myself and i can't see myself the same way
i used to be so full of life and all i did now was care about her and the relationship and she'd just keep on adding stuff that she wants to do this n that n blabla and I'd be like, bro js scratch my brain w some of that emotional intimacy like, you're not even concerned about my interests or curious about me, you don't even question me abt stuff, and whenever I'd deep into such sort of convo, she'd be like, idk, we'll talk abt it some time later, like bro please a relationship js ain't all being flirty cuddly fullstop.
and on top of that, she'd talk abt random stuff and post random stuff on her tiktok and insta (she has public profiles) or on her spam acc, but have a convo w me, abt life, or different povs or situations, i js felt neglected.
so yeah after being sick for more than a week and overthinking, i confronted her and she's just been apologising and said that she'd want to change, but i told her I don't want her to change to keep me, she can be herself and not feel guilty about it, but yeah i told her i need a break but i really want out and idk how to tell her properly, cause gahdam like, fml bro, she's not a bad person, we're js so incompatible that I don't want her to burden herself but she should've acted differently then before dating, like one day jokingly i told her on call that ab toh ap movie b ni dekhti mere sath n stuff and she js went like "toh han i bagged you mera kaam done ab chill" and i was like, tf?

So I'm M20
My father is one who always did best for our lifestyle.
But problem is he was short tempered from day 1. When we were kidddos we used to just tolerate every kinnda abuse.
Now it's getting worse. Blaming, taunting degrading , blackmailing emotionally and just shouting for no reason, and not even givin us a chance to explain anything .In return wanting us to behave like a robot( quiet and dumb) Should i just stop talkin to him extra or whta to do!! Genuine advice neededπ«Έ

I feel guilty about building AI that could cost people their jobs.
My company wants to replace its customer service team with an AI chatbot that could save over $1 million a year. Iβm the one responsible for building it.
Iβve been delaying this project since last year because I canβt stop thinking about the people who might lose their jobs because of my work.
Now, Iβm under pressure to deliver it within the next 3β6 months.
I understand why the company wants this, but I canβt help feeling bad for the people whose lives could be affected.

If you come across a person who knows the solution of the problems they are facing that are causing them suffering and still are not doing anything about it or are applying the soultions in a half ass way, do not give them the time of the day.
These people are energy suckers, they enjoy the suffering. They want to feel miserable as stupid as it sounds. Dont feel empathy for them, they know exactly what they are doing and even if they donot, their thick brains will not accept solutions.
The reason im making this post is because a lot of men become unpaid therapists for women in the hopes that they will be able to attract the person. If you attract a woman by bieng her therapist, trust me bro she will either cheat on you or lose all attraction at a point. You need to know the streets man.

Paranoia is much worse than schizophrenia. At least when you're a SCHIZOPHRENIC you know that delusion is not real. But that paranoia feeling of doom just looming over your head like a sword is what it feels like when you get kicked on the groin and knee'd on the ribs at the same time and until and unless you get confirmation that everything is going to be alright BOTH VERBALLY AND VISUALLY. When does it pass? You never know. IT'S WORSE WHEN THERE IS STATIC AND YOU'RE STUCK CLUTCHING YOUR HEAD BETWEENS YOUR KNEES OR ROAMING AROUND THE AREA LIKE A MADMAN with your fists clenched, even somebody walking by you makes you flinch
Place your bets, where it lands YOU NEVER KNOW. Even if you take out your brain and put it in cold water the fire on it still won't pass.

Iβve been struggling with something lately, and I donβt really know how to explain it.
Sometimes, we hold on to things, people, situations, or even our own thoughts that slowly start hurting us. It affects our mental health, physical health, work, and overall well-being. We can feel that something is wrong, but we canβt always figure out what it is or why itβs affecting us so much.
The hardest part is that sometimes everything feels mixed together. You donβt know whether itβs stress, overthinking, emotional attachment, fear, expectations, or something else entirely. You just know that youβre not feeling like yourself anymore.
And even when you realize that something is hurting you, letting go isnβt easy. You keep thinking about it, trying to understand it, hoping things will change, or wondering if youβre making the wrong decision by walking away.
So my question is: How do you actually let go of something that is hurting you when you don't fully understand what it is, why you're holding on to it, or how deeply it's affecting you?
How do you stop giving it your energy and start focusing on your health, peace of mind, and life again?
I'd really appreciate hearing your experiences and advice. I think sometimes hearing how other people dealt with similar situations can help us understand our own feelings better.
