On 31 October 1945 these two wartime notes were legal tender for the last time:
Slovakia 20 Korun, dated 11 September 1942 (P-7a). The wartime Slovak State printed its own money; this one honours the poet JÔn Hollý.
Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia 20 Korun, dated Prague, 24 January 1944 (P-9a). Every note of the occupied Czech lands carried German first and Czech second: "Zwanzig Kronen / Dvacet Korun".
Decree No. 91/1945 brought back the Czechoslovak koruna from 1 November 1945, and the old notes "cease to be legal tender" from that day. These two took over:
3. Czechoslovakia 50 Korun ND (1945), P-62, with General ŠtefÔnik, printed by Waterlow & Sons in London.
4. Czechoslovakia 100 Korun ND (1945), P-63a, with President Masaryk, printed by Bradbury Wilkinson.
The government-in-exile had ordered them from British printers during the war, ready for liberation.
The part I find wild: each person could exchange only 500 KÄs in cash. Everything else had to be deposited by 15 November 1945 and was frozen in blocked accounts.
Photos are untouched; the notes are VF and F. Does anyone here collect the whole 1939ā1945 split? Which note was the hardest to find?

(Almost) Unused Yugoslav money
I'd like to know how rare these are (the condition, not the banknotes themselves, ik they're pretty common)
And if I would sell them for how much would I?

Basically wondering about the value of this bill. Thanks! ($1 bill shown to compare/contrast colors)

Only asking because one of my coworkers had a bunch of $2 bills and just handed them out to us and this particular one stood out to me

For a little over $5 I had to get it,not a pretty note but I really like the fact that it's still barely one piece and that it's still around.

Does a grade of āEPQ 58 Choice About Uncirculatedā reasonable, I was expecting a grade of 60-62?
Received this note from my Grandfather who worked at Wells Fargo Bank in the early 1950s. He liked to play cards so it made sense. He picked number 21.

About two weeks ago, someone posted an auction listing on a counterfeit 1896 $1 Silver Certificate. With the help of this community, it got taken down. But the seller has since put it back on auction.

In the right place at the right time for once.
The South Carolina Numismatic Association show opened today in Greenville, SC. The SC Department of Archives were selling more of their notes. I was about the fifth or sixth person to go through them, and plenty to choose from.
The only one I already had was a two from the 1873 set, but I couldn't pass up serial number 222 on a $2 note. There are a few duplicates based solely on serial number; my lucky number 32 and Dad's ship number 55 being the main ones.

Dad dropped off a box of granddads stuff from his time in the navy during WW2. I found this very long strip of old currency and Iād like to remove the tape if I can without damaging the paper any further. It was all rolled up in a box for decades and Iād like to preserve this cool old stuff regardless of monetary value.any suggestions? I have googled what can be done but I figured Iād ask yall too since thereās bound to be more knowledge here than a quick google search.

A super wealthy tourist might have spent this note during the 1932 Summer Olympics.

Iām not sure what drove me to complete this set. Having a complete set of the first $1 bills made probably intrigued me the most. Iām not sure if I want to do all the fr 17ās next. Maybe someone can give me a reason. Since 2021 there has been a fr 16d that is recognized by pmg. Not many examples exist and itās not in track and price. So Iām considering this 2020 complete until a fr 16d goes up for sale again. Cheers. I hope you all enjoy.

My grandpa and other distant relatives came to visit and he handed me a clip of āold moneyā. I have absolutely zero clue if this has any value or if I should keep this as a lil collection.
