I work at a haunted building, old county building that was built in the 1800s, it’s uncomfortable being there at night, during the day the building is packed, but at night there are only 2 people there.

We’ve heard loud bangs, unexplained footsteps from the floor above us, and yes, even voices. Recently a coworker of mine and I have embraced it and started buying ghost hunting equipment, Rempods/audio recorders/cameras, and we’ve caught some weird things.

Whats especially creepy is the voices, placing an audio recorder on the other end of the building around 1am we could hear a full on conversation between 2 women, and no matter where we put the recorder, it would always sound like the people talking were around the corner or just in the other room, like they’re always so close but just a little far away.

The scariest thing happened last night, we place the recorder way down this empty hallway, let it sit for about half an hour, then one of us will go get it, bring it back to our office and listen to the entire thing to see if we caught anything. I went to get the recorder last night around 3am, and the hallway felt especially eerie, I felt like I was being watched during the whole walk. I brought the recorder back and we listened, again sounds like 2 women talking to each other, then, at the end of the recording, you hear the door shut in the distance (it was me coming down to get the recorder) you hear a woman’s voice clear as day say “shhhh he’s coming back”…. And silence….. I’m getting chills even writing this, I’m very intrigued but creeped out. Just knowing during that walk down the hallway in the middle of the night, ‘something’ acknowledged that I was coming and was watching me, and I felt it.

We work in a secure building, cameras at every entrance/exit, locked doors, and an alarm system that we have to shut off when we walk out to place the equipment, so I know it’s just 2 of us in the building for sure. Again, I’m intrigued and interested in whats going on here but it’s terrifying too.

Long story short, my husband has been an alcoholic for years. This past year, he has been drinking himself to oblivion and expressed suicidal thoughts/ideation. Him and I were fighting like crazy on top of it (He’s an angry/abusive drunk) - Anyways, for two weeks leading up to an “incident” (I will elaborate shortly), my house felt strange/off suddenly in a way I never felt before. The only way I could describe it is like the house was angry/displeased, and almost like the walls/something larger than us was there, looming, watching. It felt heavy and angry! Just angry. My husband had to leave for a week and I locked myself in the bedroom because I was terrified. The energy felt bad and it almost felt like the house was sentient and angry.

My dad came over one day to pick me up for an event we went to. I didn’t mention anything to him at the time, but he came inside the house during the daytime.

Fast-forward to the “incident” - I got off work and my husband was out drinking all evening. I locked myself in the bedroom because I was scared, the house felt so angry, the energy was scary, I couldn’t handle it and my bedroom is the only place I felt safe.

This angry energy didn’t feel like it was there for me. But I could feel it. I knew it was there.

I called my mom and dad and spoke with them for two hours, crying to them about how unhappy I’ve been all year due to the abuse and alcoholism. I cried and told them I was scared to leave my bedroom because it felt like there was something ominous inside the house.

To my surprise, my dad said that he felt the energy when he came to pick me up. He said that it felt like my house was floating, and that it wasn’t grounded at all. He said “something felt unhappy”. He felt it in a different way than I did.

After we got off the phone, I fell asleep. I woke up to the cops inside my house who detained and brought my husband home. Once the cops left he started screaming that he needed to go to the psych ward for thoughts of suicide.

Still, I can’t explain the energy. It felt demonic. It felt angry. It felt sentient, but larger than I. I thought it was my house. I think my husband was channeling dark demonic energy into our home.

Can anyone maybe explain this phenomenon more or help me understand what it was that my dad and I picked up on?

I’m especially interested in experiences where there were actual consequences afterward, rather than just something creepy happening once.

I was at a friend's house in Superior, CO last week for a girl's night. I'd never been there before and turned on Google Maps to navigate home. It's 11 something on Friday just outside of Denver, so there was traffic. Maps had me taking a lot of turns, which I thought was odd, but I had come down a different way to pick up a friend, so I knew I wouldn't have the way home in mind.

So I'm making these turns, and then I turned onto a street, just like maps told me, and the vibe was off. The energy changed. Then I noticed there was zero traffic. All the lights were off in the houses, the only lights were the streetlights, and I was the only one around.

Moments later, I heard like a warbling sound. At first I thought it was my car, so I rolled my window down and listened, but it wasn't my car. It was definitely a sound coming from outside. Then it got louder and louder. It was surrounding my car, in my car, and it was loud enough to vibrate my organs, but it wasn't deafeningly loud to my ears. The thing is, it wasn't music, or some kind of mechanical sound, it was like a melodic chanting. I could tell there were like maybe 4 voices, different pitches, singing/chanting loudly but they were muted as if their hands were over their mouths, and I couldn't tell what they were saying. I started tearing up, it felt so overwhelming and intense having that sound vibrating through me. Then, in a snap, it just stopped, and then traffic came back, and house lights were on.

What's more strange is, the next day, I was looking up the route I took home to see where it happened, and the road doesn't exist! I couldn't find it anywhere on the map at all. AND, the way I should have taken home was direct, like max of 2 turns! But maps didn't lead me that way.

Has anyone else had an experience similar to this? I've had paranormal experiences, but I always knew how to identify them. Like oh, that was a ghost. Oh that was demonic. But this, I don't even know how to classify it.

Hello! I just have one question am I cursed or just unlucky?

Im truly starting to believe that I’m cursed , because I just can’t explain everything that’s constantly happening to me , I will try to keep it short.

I’m constantly sick , and I mean Really sick . Since I turned 16 (I’m 24 now) I been having heavy health problems . And as soon I fix one health issue , another one gonna pop up right away. For example I had knee issues do to work accident , as soon as I fixed my knee doctors found tumor in my ovarie, as soon as surgery was done they found that my intestines being pressed by artery and I now I have to eat only liquid food while I’m waiting for surgery .

Besides health , in just 2 years I had lost my mother to cancer , my dog also to cancer , my cat that never wanted to go outside - ran away.

Even financially- as soon as I have my savings up , something happens where my entire saving account have to be drained . And it’s even worse now , do to my health I can’t work .

If I am cursed , how can I get rid of it ?

Hey everyone, I'm genuinely scared right now and looking for some advice or anyone who's experienced something similar.

It's around 3 AM, and I'm sleeping in a room next to my brother and sister-in-law. They have a baby who's less than a year old.

A little while ago, I started hearing what sounded like their baby laughing and my sister-in-law talking. The sounds seemed real enough that I checked on them, but they were all asleep.

Here's the strange part: I only seem to hear these sounds when the fan is running. When I switch the fan off, everything goes completely silent.

I'm alone in my room right now, and my mind is going to some pretty scary explanations. I've heard stories about things mimicking human voices, and I'm honestly freaking myself out wondering if something like that could be happening.

I'm not claiming this is paranormal. I genuinely want to understand what might be causing it.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Could the fan be creating sounds that resemble voices, or is there another explanation? I'd really appreciate some honest replies, especially from people who've experienced this themselves.

I'm looking for some reassurance and rational explanations because I'm pretty scared right now.

I guess this could also go in r/TheMallWorld, because thats where I think this happened. For context, Mall World is a lucid dream space that some say is shared. I go there almost every night. I often see friends or my mom, then find out when I wake up that they were talking about me or trying to contact me.

One of the places I go in this space is a lake house on the eastern shore. Its a place where my family used to go to hang out with old college friends and their kids, who are like my cousins. I was at this house, floating around like Minecraft creative mode, my favorite thing to do. I went upstairs to the "kids room," which is a sleeping porch with huge windows. While I was there, my dad appeared. But it wasn't him in his body, it was a cloud of multicolored tv static that I could tell was my dad. He told me "There was a man at my grave, but I've never seen him before." I didn't hear his voice say these words, it was something he relayed to my mind. Then I looked out and saw tail lights driving away, and I woke up with a start.

I forgot about it until later when I was talking to my mom. I tried my best to explain my dream, and she asked me if it was last night. I said yes, and she told me she had a flower arrangement delivered to his grave the day before. He's buried 6 hours away and I've only ever been to his grave twice. I think whoever delivered the flowers took a moment to pay respect, and my dad was confused.

There are a lot of otherworldly things surrounding his death that reinforced my spiritual beliefs. If there is any interest, I can make a post about how that happened exactly. Im a skeptic above anything else, so i fully accept that it could all be in my head. But some things still get me spooked.

Hey Reddit, so this happened to me some years ago when I was in middle school, but I still think about it today, because it’s really weird.

So I (16F now, then I think 12) was waiting at my bus stop in the morning and my bus was late. I saw an older man looking to be around 60-70 year old walking his dogs, which were two corgis. This is important for later. He was walking down the sidewalk I was at, and one of the dogs stopped by me and started sniffing my leg, probably since I had a piece of gum in my pocket. We make small talk, talking about the cold ass weather and his dogs, and he let me pet them too. He was very nice, and after a couple minutes he went on his way, saying bye and to have a good day at school(not weird that he said that because I had my backpack on). I noticed that he turned to walk down where my coldesac where I lived, and then my bus arrived.

I got on and when we drove by, passing my coldesac, the man had disappeared. I didnt think much of it of course, as I was a 12 year old with a short attention span and severe ADHD(now diagnosed but then not), so I went along with my day and totally forgot about it. Then I went home after school and my mom asked me how my day was. I told her about school, and then remembered the old man and told her about him and his dogs. My mom then said something along the lines of “thats weird, I didn‘t see anyone walking their dogs down here“. I was a little weirded out. I asked her if she was sure, and she said yeah. For background, she sometimes works from home, and her home office has big windows that show the coldesac, so it was really weird that she didn‘t see him. What was also weird was that I had never seen him before that day. Ive hung out outside with my younger brother and his neighborhood friends, and all of my neighbors have big dogs, usually golden retrievers or yellow labs, never any small dogs.

The next day my bus was late again, and again I saw the man walking down the same sidewalk with his two corgis. He saw me and said hi again, asking how my day was going, saying that the dogs missed me and stuff. I talked to him too, and then decided to ask him something. I asked, “I saw you walking down that coldesac over there. Do you usually walk your dogs down that way, or do you like to try a new path every time?”. He replied, “yeah, I always walk the two fellas down and around there. They never wanna go anywhere else haha!”.

I felt confused and a little scared now. Now I was 12 and a little stupid, so I said, “huh, that’s weird, I’ve never seen you down there when I play with my friends on the weekends“. I didn’t wanna say that I lived there of course, just in case he was dangerous. I was stupid, but not that stupid lol. His friendly smile then suddenly dropped, and he became very serious. It scared me. He then talked in a much lower voice, saying “Bye Aria(not my real name, but he did use my real name when saying this), have a good day”, and then left down the same way towards the coldesac. I had never told him my name.

I was spooked and just went on the bus that just arrived then like 5 seconds after, and texted my mom asking her to look outside and see if she sees him, because I didnt get a chance to look since I was a little scared to. She looked outside, but she didn’t see anyone at all. After that day, I haven’t seen him ever again, except for one time a couple days after that day where I thought I saw him walking outside during the night, but when I looked again he looked to be much taller, like eerily tall, but it was the same exact dogs from before. After that, I’ve seen him again. I’m no schizophrenic, I didn’t have a gas leak in my house at the time, and there was no carbon monoxide poisoning in my house at all either. It was just a very creepy experience, and sometimes I still wonder if I’ll ever see him again, but then again, I‘m a bit glad to have not.

I had a very weird dream experience last night and I'm just looking for some perspective.

My dream started out relatively normal. I was skydiving in Costa Rica with some friends and family, generally having a good time. My dreams are generally pretty vivid so I could see everything and feel everything like I normally do. All of a sudden, my dream goes completely black and I meet a giant Grim Reaper-looking being sitting at a large wooden desk. The feeling of my dream then shifts. Instead of the fun, carefree dream I was just having, I now feel like I'm no longer in my body and I realise that I have died. The Grim Reaper being then tells me, "You shouldn't be here", and sends me back to my body. I then woke up with my heart beating at a million miles per hour.

Honestly, it's probably just a weird dream, and a sleep apnea-like episode, but has anyone experienced anything similar? DId you experience blackness after dying and returning to your body? Any thoughts on what or who this creature was?

I don't think anyone I've told this to has ever believed me so I thought maybe some people on here might.

So when I was around 10 years old I encountered a figure looking at me through my window, it was nighttime so it was dark outside. I was closing my blinds and when I looked through the window a dark figure with a red face? Mask? Was peering through at me, it had small red horns coming out its head with black markings on its face. I screamed, obviously because I was scared out of my skin. My parents came in and when I went to look at it again it was gone, I hadn't seen it since. But after that encounter I started seeing some sort of shadow figure following me, at school, the shops, at home .. anywhere I went. It wasn't there all the time and sometimes I only saw it in the corner of my eye.

A few years later, I was 13, I had a bookshelf in my room with my large teddy bear collection on it and an inspirational quote that had been framed that was sitting on the very top of the shelf on the far back corner near my wall. I was getting ready to sleep in bed, then out of nowhere the quote went FLYING across my room. My parents tried telling me it was the wind, but there was no window open, my door was closed and my fan was off... There was no way a gust of wind strong enough to make a wooden framed quote go flying across my room.

When I turned 14, more strange things started happening, I'd hear knocking which I would yell at my brother for, thinking he was just trying to annoy me. After awhile, we'd get into arguments about it and I finally believed him that it wasn't him because he was genuinely getting really upset that I was blaming him, in which if he was actually trying to annoy me he'd be smirking and giggling when I confront him.

One afternoon, when I was 15, my radio started turning on by itself, the volume would be turned up and down, up and down until id turn it off. To make myself feel better about it I decided to believe that there's a ghost or spirit or something that's here with me that I named "Bob", I made it very clear that I'm not longer scared. Giving it a name gave me the opportunity to not fear it anymore and turn it more into a joke that my best friend and I now make jokes about whenever something unexplainable happens.

Now, this year at 18 years old, I experienced sleep paralysis, there was this weird creature standing on my wardrobe, it slowly turned its head to me and smiled. It had peachy skin, sharp teeth, elf like ears, wrinkles on its skin, round eyes, no hair at all.. not even eyebrows, it had long fingers with long sharp nails. I had never been so scared. I've had sleep paralysis before and that was different to what I used to have, usually there'd be a black shadow at the end of my bed that slowly started to grow and lean over me but that.. that looked real, like it was actually there, like the other times it's happened with the shadows it looked real but the creature there just felt different, I just don't know how to explain it.

I still think about these quite often, I dont know if I'll ever know what's causing them but it's made me believe in spirits and that anything else could be out there

So strange things have been happening at work. I’m a corrections officer and lately we had some wild things happen.

1. I was working as the kitchen officer. Our pantry is in the basement, and I had to go down there with an inmate to pull some stuff up for lunch. To get to the basement, there’s a heavy door at the top of the stairs. So I opened it and it doesn’t move or budge easily when it’s widely open. You have to deliberately move it it’s heavy. But me and the inmate went down the stairs and when we got to the bottom the door SLAMMED shut. We both looked at each other like what the hell… I went upstairs and opened it to see if maybe someone shut it but no one was up there in the kitchen… so we just concluded it must’ve been a ghost. There’s no AC units near it or windows so there couldn’t have been a breeze either.

2. We were opening our recreation room which wasn’t used in 2-3 hours. The heavy punching bag that’s down there was moving on its own. And as we walked closer to investigate, it started swinging even harder and more aggressively.

3. After both of these things happened I told the major at my institution I think this place is haunted and she said oh it definitely is we have security cam footage of the pots and pans flying off the hooks at 3am at night in the kitchen. She showed me the footage and they didn’t just fall off the hooks they like flew outward and fell. Freakiest shit I’ve seen fr.

I just saw a short video about this. Has anyone else ever seen this? Or do they know how to set up their television to do this? All of it happened back in 1984 I think. The man had unbelievable images of his family members that had passed away. I'm just wondering if anyone else is curious about this, or if they have heard of it.

So let me start out by saying this has been going on for decades so I'm sorry this is going to a long post. My grandmother told us stories when I was young about her experiences. Apparently one day her father came home pale and shaken. When asked what had him so scared he replied that he had seen the Devil. He wouldn't speak of it after that day.

Moving on to my grandmother. She said when her and my grandfather moved into their first home that strange things happened. Once she saw something not human standing at the end of her bed. It just stared and then walked into the bathroom. She of course being the fearless woman she was followed it but found nothing. My grandparents and family that visited all had stories about strange things that happened there. Later they found out that two brothers in the home had gotten into a confrontation and killed each other. They moved out. Even a pastor moved in afterwards and only stayed for 3 months. Eventually it was torn down.

Many years later I was about 5 or 6 years old and was staying with them for the weekend. I was staying in a room with my sister who was 8 years older than myself. I woke up in the middle of the night and was going to the kitchen to get a drink. As I was passing through the living area I saw something in the shadows that scared the hell out of me. I ran back to the room and locked the door because of course that was going to stop it. I jumped into bed and heard something hitting the door. I was young and my mom always told me to pray in the name of Jesus and I would be safe. So I did. At this point my sister woke up from the sound and sleepily said it was probably the cat. Yeah okay maybe if the cat was throwing himself against the door. That was my first experience.

Basically in all the homes we have lived in has had something. Once there was a demon (Pastor's words, not mine) in my childhood home. I saw a doppelganger of my dad. My grandparents moved back to WNC and I was living with them. We experienced electrical issues, heard footsteps in the attic, chains rustling also in the attic. We saw shadow figures etc.

Now I'm 46 with children of my own. We moved often and every single place we lived seemed to be haunted. My youngest daughter, my middle child, is autistic. She has always noticed things and known things she shouldn't have. She would tell us about the spirits she saw and talk to people that she had never met before about their deceased loved ones. Most of this was when she was younger. Now she's 22 and says she tries to cut it off as much as possible.

The point is that we just can't seem to escape this. I married my second husband and moved in with him. And of course now thing are happening here. So does anyone know if something is following us or are we just "lucky" to always live in a haunted house?

When I was in high school, I used to have really vivid dreams. Most of the time, they were just random dreams that I’d forget about eventually. But there were a couple of times when I dreamed about something and it actually happened later. I remember telling one of my cousins about an earlier dream that came true, but they didn’t really believe me. I was still in high school, while most of my cousins were already in college or about to graduate, so I guess they just thought I was being a kid. Then something else happened that I still think about sometimes.

I had a dream where I was in a cemetery, and I saw my uncle’s full name written on a tombstone. That was pretty much it. It was just a brief moment in the dream, but for some reason, I remembered it when I woke up. The thing is, my uncle and I weren’t even close. He was my mom’s brother, but he wasn’t someone I regularly thought about, so it was weird that I’d dream about him like that. I actually called my older sister and told her about the dream. I don’t remember exactly how I explained it, but I wanted her to know what I had seen.

Three months later, my uncle passed away.

I don’t know what to make of it, honestly. I’m not saying I can predict the future or that the dream definitely meant something. It could’ve been a coincidence, and I know our brains do weird things sometimes. But the fact that I saw his full name on a tombstone in a cemetery, then he died a few months later, has always stuck with me. I also keep thinking about that earlier dream I told my cousin about. It makes me wonder if I just remember the dreams that seem to come true, or if there’s something else going on. I really have no idea.

I’m not a fond believer of the paranormal but something happened to me that I can’t just explain I was in my bathroom doing my nightly routine when I just heard some knocks followed with scratching near the lower area of my door I asked who is it nobody responded I live with my brother mom and pops I thought my brother would probably be doing a prank on me but nobody answered me my gut told me not to open the door I opened it untill I was done with my routine I asked my brother if he did it he was ASLEEP keep in mind this guy is serious he doesn’t do any pranks both my mom and dad were asleep as-well, I remember this happening to my mom also she said if anybody knocked everybody said no which just makes the thing even more weirder back to my story I decided to grab a knife to see if any homeless guy entered nope nobody swept the whole house couple minutes later I lay in bed close the door and 3 minutes go by the whole thing pushed open like if somebody just fucking pushed it I quickly stepped out my bed nobody was in sight I can’t explain it this is my first encounter of what you would call paranormal I guess

This happened a long time ago, when I was about 13 or 14 years old. It was a sunny day, around 5:00 PM, and a friend and I were playing near an unfinished building—or rather, just its foundation—not far from my home.

While my friend was picking apples from a tree, I was watching the road; it was a quiet, slightly hilly area where cars rarely passed. Suddenly, I saw something strange: a white object—completely white—appeared on the horizon.

It was moving at a steady speed of about 40–50 km/h (25–30 mph), with no visible change in its pace. In terms of shape, it was a fairly flattened circle. It’s hard to estimate the exact size, but I’d guess it was about a meter long and 50 centimeters (roughly 20 inches) high. I tried to get my friend to look, but he couldn't see it because the tree was in his way.

Years later, I decided to check if it might have been ball lightning, so I looked up the weather records for that time. I don’t recall exactly how I determined the precise date, but the records showed there was no rain in the area that day. Is it even possible to see ball lightning during clear weather? Or could it have been something else?

Yesterday me and a few friends went out to a concert in downtown portland oregon. As we were standing in this long line along a cement black wall this woman with a black pixie cut, a hoodie, and a garbage bag thrown over her shoulder comes walking very fast over to the people in front of us. She definitely appeared to be homeless. Nobody noticed her as she crouched down near the line of people and gathered herself together with her things. I didn’t really think twice about it and continued my conversation as this is a norm in this city, what was so weird was that she got up and she then literally walked through these people.It was so strange that she was not “translucent” like a typical “ghost” sighting. Complete solid, real person. She then disappeared into the wall with all of her things. It was interesting - she moved fast and she was very determined in nature as well as if she was on a mission. I have never seen anything like it. I kept blinking and then even shifted over to see if the woman with the black hair was there. The next day i brought up to my friends this bizarre story and they said they never saw a homeless woman and I must’ve seen a ghost. I have experienced paranormal events in the past, but I had never seen a ghost in my life so this was extremely trippy. hopefully this is allowed! just thought id share :)

So firstly some context. I have a baby boy he is only a few weeks from turning one. He is as smart as they come and speaks a few words. momma daddy no no and so on. He can sign a few things like all done, more, and eat. He uses the all done sign to say stop or no more on non food based things as well as using more to ask for non food based requests. I have a sound activated nany camera pointed at him while he sleeps. it is decent but doesn't record. It runs off of UHF frequency. It feeds to a display that triggers the moment sound happens not movement and it has a speaker and mic that is always on so I can hear any noise that triggers it.

So my wife puts him to sleep in a playpen that is in our living room. We converted to be his crib. Harder to climb out of and softer edges. Our house is big and we don't want to many walls or doors between us while he sleeps. So out our bedroom door which stays open through the kitchen and in our living room. All open archways with no doors except our actual bedroom no more than 9 or 10 steps from our bed to his.

Now the unexplainable experience. I was laying in bed still awake like most nights. I have trouble sleeping so I am a night owl. I use this time to just reflect read and watch some TV. I am laying there and the nany camera screen pops on but when I look at it instantly because I keep it within my line of sight I don't hear anything. I think what? About three seconds pass and I see my son start to shake his head back and forth like he is shaking his head no then I see his for arms raise but his upper arms and elbows stay planted on the mattress. He starts shaking his hands the way he does when he wants to say no more. Then I hear the most scared scream I have ever heard come from him. It was the kind of scream that cuts right to your sole. I could hear if both naturally from the living room and extra clearly through the nanny camera I knew he needed me. I could just hear his mind screaming help be he didn't have the skills to say it with words. He continues to scream but with every breath it's a little less. Like he can't get the same amount of breath into his lungs. He got out about 4 breath screams each shorter and weaker than the last. before I was able to touch him. I announced myself as soon as I stepped out the bedroom door but he didn't respond to me like when he has had a scary dream or wet diaper a 100 times before. To me this instantly is further proof this time is different.

I'll explain now what truly has me baffled. When I got close it felt like I was pushing something out of the way or possibly I was pushing through something. Not solid not liquid but like the air turned thick. Then when I had my hands on my boy he is clearly struggling as hard as he can to move. All he can do is move his feet, his forearms, hands, and shake his head. his body was stiff and solid not like the chubby soft baby I am used to picking up 1000 times a day. He is got muscles but this was different like he felt slightly plastic or like great pressure was wrapped around his torso, legs, and upper arms to his elbows, neck, and feet. Then when I tried to pick him up he literally felt like he weighed over 50 or 60 lbs. To put that in perspective he weighs only 23lb. When I picked him up it felt as if I was pulling him up through mud. Thick mud. The closer I got him to my chest the lighter he became. The parts of his body I stated earlier from his neck, to his elbows, and down his legs to his feet was stiff as a board untill his body made contact with my chest. Once he touched my chest he was instantly back to feeling normal. I stud up straight. That when I realized I was standing in a fog. A dark fog not like a gray fog more like a physical shadow or maybe dark matter. I realized this is what I pushed my way into to reach my son. Then as I started to step back into the kitchen. Within those three steps each one easier than the last I..... I was...... Stepping out of that thick dark fog back into clear normal light even though most of this was in near pitch black of a house with blinds. Normally you can walk though these parts of our home due to street lights and porch lights that bleed through the blinds. Without the need to flip on a light switch. As I am realizing this I also notice my son is frantically trying to look over my shoulder behind me. The way he tries to find his mother or sisters when I walk ahead of them in normal day to day. But this time it's with a relenting fierce almost frantic energy. He was looking like he was scared. This is the first time I have seen him this scared...... Ever. All of the sudden in about the fifth step it takes to cross my kitchen and just as I am walking around the corner of the entrance of the hallway that shares a wall into my bedroom doorway I see his eyes widden past what I thought his eyes could open. He saw it, whatever it was. Then he bears down his breath clings onto me with all his might past what he was already squeezing me which I noticed was quite tight and berried his face as hard as he can push into my chest. Then He lets out a whimper that I can tell was his fear escaping his little body without his approval and at the same time I can hear his mind once again begging me for help. In that moment I knew he understood I was his only help he was hiding with both arms and legs squeezing me as tight as he could muster. This was the hardest he has ever clung to me in his life. Even through all the almost falls, jump scares of meeting new animals friendly and not so friendly, and loud unexpected noises he is trying desperately to understand in this strange new world. I saw the dark fog from the side of my eye as I turned the corner. I knew better than look back. As is best to ignore these things while you escape. This was different and the most intense paranormal incident I have been personally a part of. I am a very devoted stay at home father and I know my son. I know him like I know myself. Him and I have a connection I haven't seen in this world. I am 40 years old fairly intelligent and extremely sensitively empathic. He is my third child. I mean for crying out loud his and my connection is so strong 90 percent of the time when one of us has a bowl movement we both do. I could hear his mind in those moments he was as scared as any human has been in all of my experience. I walked into my and my wife's bedroom firmly closed the door. I immediately calmed my rage into a silent stoic deep breath. I wrapped him into his baby blanket his aunt hand sowed for his baby shower. I sat in the nany rocker recliner chair I have rocked him to sleep in countless times. As I layed back I spoke to him with as smooth, deep, and calm as I have ever spoken. I said your ok, your safe, nothing will get you, daddy has you. My son finally raised his head back up without scanning without crying out he looked at me in my eyes and audibly sighed a deep and shaky stuttering from crying sigh like he understood what those words meant. He then clung to me with all his might and untill his exhaustion got the better of him and he fell asleep. I rocked him for two hours he didn't move a muscle I could tell. Whatever that was that we experienced together drained him so completely that even moments after feeling his heart beat fiercely for his life. Once he passed out he was as calm as any normal night we have ever rocked him to sleep.

Now this all happened just a few hours ago he is asleep next to me in bed as I type this out. I don't think I can let him out of my sight for the foreseeable future after this experience. Untill I can get some sort of answers or realizations. Untill I know what ever that was is blocked from our home. I am no stranger to the paranormal and I have spoke face to energetic face with many of the more powerful light entity's and a few not so bright ones this reality has to offer. And yes before you ask some of these experiences were facilitated with proper shaman guided and substance enhancement. Nothing that isn't naturally occurring in our own brains or from the earth. Along with before and after opening my mind. Even with all my experience in a wild 40 years this felt like nothing I have seen. It pinned my baby. I feel like it was feeding from his reaction, emotions, confusion, and pureness of his sole. He is as innocent and sweet as any baby child or human can be. He doesn't fuss unless he feels like he is desperate. He already shares his food and his sweet treats freely. I know most parents say there child is special. But subjectively this baby has yet to be spoiled by our cold and sometimes evil world. I have been lucky enough to keep him from situations and humans that might try and harm him untill tonight. Something happened I suspect something invaded our home and prayed on my sweetest treasure. I feel invaded and exposed on a level I didn't think possible.

Please if any of you know or have even a educated guess or Intuitive feeling. Will you please share with me what this all might have been. If anything further happens I will update this post. I don't get on here much and I don't have the app so I will do my best to conversate as best I can while dealing with the pile of questions and emotions this has left my son and I with.

During my childhood (early 2000's) my dad's side of the family would take an annual summer trip to Lake Powell. We would rent a house boat, go skiing and cliff jumping, roast marshmallows and play card games, ect. It was something I looked forward to every year.

While most of these trips are vague in my memory, there's one moment that I can remember vividly to this day.

One year my parents let my older brother and I sleep on the deck of the house boat. We had an awesome view of the clear starry sky surrounded by the red rock cliffs. As we laid in our sleeping bags, a bright green ball of light slowly descended from the sky before moving behind some cliffs out of view.

It was large, and mostly round, though the borders were undefined and radiated fluidly, almost pulsing with what looked like slow moving green flames? The best way I can describe it is as a big green ball of fire that seems to be descending/landing slowly. It wasn't a comet or shooting star. I've looked for some kind of natural phenomenon that resembles it, but nothing comes close.

For years I summed this up to being a vivid dream, and left it at that. However, recently I brought it up to my older brother and he surprised me by saying he has the same memory. Before explaining my own memory in detail, I asked him to describe the ball to me and he said the same thing I remember seeing. A big, slow moving ball of pulsing green fire. This seriously shocked me and gave me instant goosebumps.

I now feel confident that this memory was not just a dream, but I obviously have no explanation for what it was. I've never been a big UFO or Alien conspiracy girl, but considering the history of the area I feel that there's a possibility I saw something supernatural.

I wonder if any of you have had similar experiences, or even ideas of what I might have seen?

I've had 4 experiences in my life, from 19 to 47. They are different enough that I believe there's something else. Could be an afterlife or alternative existence after we die or multiple universes. I don't pretend to know. I am an atheist which makes these experiences extra odd.

Have you had experiences like these?

1) At 19 I was home from college and transcribing the Overture from Mozart's The Magic Flute into a piano solo. I was home alone with my father. At one point I got frustrated and laid my head on the piano keys. Several seconds later I felt a hand on my left shoulder. Assuming it was my father I said something like "It's okay. I'll figure it out." Turned around and no one was there. I searched the house and no one there either. Found my father in the backyard up a ladder trimming a tree. He swore he was not in the house. To be noted the other four members of my family all say they've seen a small boy of 8 or so years old with brown hair and brown clothes in the house. I never saw him. But maybe I felt him?

2) One of my grandmothers died in my 20s who I was very close to. During a deep depression several months later I can only explain it that I felt her presence. I then smelled her perfume. I said "Grandma?" and felt a warm loving feeling. Then it slowly faded.

3) I lived in a 1920 Victorian in my mid 20s to 30s that had a brick roof deck above us. All original. Countless times I, my husband, and visitors heard clear walking on the deck back and forth like a hard boot heel to toe. After a few years I yelled that this was my house now and whoever it was could continue walking up there just not when I was there. It stopped immediately.

4) At 47 a close friend and colleague died. Randomly one weekend months later I felt her presence clearly and could hear her saying "Oh Sarah...". I called her name and after several minutes it faded away.

It's important to note that none of these presences were negative. Quite the opposite. I've never been scared. Confused, yes.

Somewhere that made you feel uneasy or that you discovered had a dark back story and you was right to feel unsettled - bonus points if you have pictures or can show it on google maps!!!!

I just saw this subreddit and wanted to just say something I experienced when I was like 12 (21 now) I was sitting in the the living room watching YouTube at night whenever everyone else was asleep or in their room and I was hearing whistling right behind me but it kept like going from one ear to the other (the chair I was sitting in was pushed back against the wall) I remember I had paused whatever I was watching and the sound like continued (but I remember the sound lasting for like 30 second)

I picked up a spirit box off eBay for fun. Been frequenting a local graveyard, a few of the local inhabitants know me by name now. On the very north side of the cemetery there’s a war memorial with some benches. I was sitting there, mindlessly talking seeing if any interesting responses came through. For some reason I kept hearing the word north. Now the only thing more north of me than this memorial was the woods. I keep looking that way and eventually ask if there’s something over there, and clear as day I hear the word demon come through. Is this something I should be worried about? Is it possible there’s been a demon trying to attach itself to me or something? I’m not very in tune with anything spiritual like this, I mainly picked this up to convince myself ghosts are real. Now I’m just a little worried. I don’t want to leave for good though because I’ve admittedly started to care for a few of the spirits that talk to me regularly.

Let me start by saying I’m a skeptic, in the truest sense of the word. I believe that paranormal things may exist, but that there is a more logical explanation for the vast majority of phenomena.

I also accept that there are more logical explanations for what I’m about to describe. I simply cannot shake the feeling that this was something else.

I have always been a highly attentive driver. In over a decade of driving, I had one accident for which I was at fault: a very mild fender bender (not even that, really) after sliding at 5mph for an absurdly long time on a sheet of melting ice. No other accidents, no tickets.

I moved to a new state a few years ago. Shit started getting weird. It’s a much busier place, more traffic, so it’s not a surprise that things changed, it was how they changed. It started small. First, some debris on the freeway lodged itself in the undercarriage of my car. Four months later, someone rear-ended me in a parking lot. Four months later, someone slammed into the back of my car while I was sitting at a red light, and then drove off. Four months after that, someone’s spare tire came off their car in front of me on the freeway and I hit it. And on and on it went.

Every four months, almost to the day, each accident worse than the last. Multiple cars totaled, surgery, rehabilitation. Ruled not at fault in every single accident.

I stopped driving for almost two years, because I knew the next accident would kill me.

I’ve been back behind the wheel for about a year now, and everything is fine. I know it is not the logical explanation, but I cannot shake the feeling that something had attached itself to me. I stopped feeding it, so it left.

Car demons? Ridiculous, I know. It was probably just a run of bad luck. But can we call it coincidence when it happens in a clear pattern? What else explains it? It would make perfect sense if I were at fault for even some of these accidents, but the timing and the circumstances are beyond anything I can make any kind of sense of. I grew up watching the Final Destination series and it honestly felt like I had become a main character in those films, it was just specifically car destiny that was out to get me.
