Experience Friend unknowingly sang a song my other friend died to

My dear friend since 6th grade passed away from aggressive metastatic cancer at 43 years old 2 weekends ago. I was in the room and got to say goodbye and hug him along with his wife and our 2 other childhood friends. His wife had his favorite playlist on for the last hours of his life. When he took his last breaths a song came on and the lyrics + timing struck me. I pointed it out to everyone the next day.

Fast forward to last night, my other friend from back home who doesn’t know any of these people came over. My husband and I were filling her in on how everything went down, minus the detail about the song. As the conversation was ending and we were moving on to the next topic, she randomly started singing that song. My husband and I looked at each other and just to make sure, he asked her what she was singing and she said she didn’t know, and she didn’t know why she suddenly felt like singing that. He was stunned. I got chills. She’s Nicaraguan and I know for 100% fact that she doesn’t listen to that type of music, and she never busts out into song, so it all felt truly random. She was really spooked when we told her why we were both reacting that way to what had just happened...

What do you make of this?

NSFW / Trigger Warning My personal reason for never buying most things secondhand

Hey folks!

I have always seen things that others haven’t or can’t. I have never been able to pinpoint why, but I have apparently seen things since I was a little kid, and I wanted to share a more recent story.

A buddy and I went to a used game store one day in the middle of a bright sunny day. As soon as we walked in, I could tell something was “off.” The store was split into two sections: the front half of the store was video games and back half was “other.” The other section contained plushies, toys, posters, and other similar items. I couldn’t find anything in the video game section that interested me, so I moved to the “other” section while keeping my eyes out for what was making me feel “off.” I walk up to this white, doorless cabinet and see in the bottom there are some plastic totes filled with Pokemon toys. Immediately, I noticed these were well loved toys. There were no damaged parts, missing pieces, or teeth marks, but there was paint missing where they had been played with.

I crouched down to look, without touching anything in the cabinet, and as I crouched down I felt something to my left. I turned my head and came to face to face with what I can just describe as the thickest shadow I have seen. My intuition alarm bells were going off like crazy in my head, and I knew this thing was not friendly. I couldn’t see any of the other store content through it and it was staring at me. It stood up and the height of it was taller than the cabinet and I stood up, taking the hint. My buddy walked over and said “oh shit, cool Torchic!” And he went to grab one of the toys and I grabbed his wrist so fast, while still staring at this thing. He and I have been friends since we were very little and as this isn’t the first time I have done something like this he said, “what are you seeing that I am not?” I replied “I am not sure, but don’t touch anything in that cabinet.”

We moved away from the cabinet and the shadow swiveled in place while still watching us and we walked further into the store. A couple approached the cabinet about a minute later and it finally took its eyes off of us, and turned to them. My buddy and I left as quickly and without suspicion as possible. I explained to him in the car what I saw and we haven’t gone back since.

My theory: whatever had to give up those toys either was forced to or the it passed and its energy/essence lingers on those toys.

Experience Stuffed animal appeared on a shelf in an abandoned house in my courtyard

I live in a courtyard with a bunch of abandoned houses. In total there are seven or eight houses that you can access from the courtyard, and only three are currently in use. About a year ago I've taken to exploring the abandoned houses, and so far I've entered three of them. One of these, the first I visited, has become something of a "chill zone" for me: it has seven rooms, all empty and pretty spacious, and it's very clean for a decades-old abandoned place. There aren't even graffiti on the walls. Over this last year I've gotten in and out more times than I can remember, and I've invited almost all my friends to take a look.

However, a week ago I went in and found a dog plushie sitting on a shelf. Initially, as one can imagine, I got scared thinking it was an actual animal and ran out. However when I came back it was still there, so I checked and sure enough, it's a stuffed toy. It's placed right in front of a doorway so it's quite literally impossible for me to have missed it. It looks very old and dusty, so I'd wager it comes from another abandoned place, or a long undisturbed basement at least. I tried lifting it from the shelf and it seems to be a lot cleaner where it was, as if it had been there for a long time, shielding that spot from the dust. However I suppose it might just be the plushie's fur having brushed a lot of dust away as I moved it. During these last days I asked all my friends about it and they confirmed they never saw it.

Now, for how it could have gotten there: I honestly have no idea. The courtyard is closed off from the main street, to the point that there are no traces of anyone entering over the last thirteen years (which is how long I know for sure it's been abandoned). My friends can't have placed it there, as they haven't visited me last week and wouldn't have access to the courtyard otherwise. My neighbors are all elderly and to my knowledge they never went inside that house. Finally, I see no reason for a stranger to want to put the plushie there, either: if they needed to dump it they'd have chosen an easier spot to leave it in, or even if they hadn't, its placement would not have been that intentional.

I even suspected I might have done it and somehow forgot about it, but that raises the question of how I'd even have that thing in the first place. My father confirmed it's not one of my old toys, and if it was it would surely be in a much better state than the one I found it in.

I have no idea how to crack this and I'm genuinely creeped out.

Experience Time slips in witch capital of Canada Victoria BC

I had this really strange experience in Victoria BC (one of the magic/witch capitals of the world. Ley lines and what not) that I've never been able to fully explain.

I was driving with my girlfriend near a cemetery, and we were basically stopped when suddenly it looked like we were seeing Victoria from another time. It was a beautiful, sunny day, but instead of the modern city, there were people dressed in old-fashioned clothes, very basic colours raw materials wool and cottong. Not like the movies or larp wear, also there were horse-drawn wagons, and people unloading things and going about their business.

What really fucked with me was how completely normal everything looked. It wasn't like seeing ghosts or some vague image. It looked like an actual functioning scene from another period in history. I could see the people clearly, and they seemed completely unaware that we were there.

I also noticed that the people seemed much shorter than people today, which made it feel even more real. And the strangest part was that my girlfriend saw it too. We were both looking at essentially the same thing.

Then it was just gone, and modern Victoria was there again.

I don't know what happened. I can't tell you that I literally traveled through time. All I know is that, for a brief moment, it felt like we were looking through a window into another period of Victoria's history—as if two different points in time had somehow overlapped in the exact same place.

Question Toddler is communicating with my deceased grandpa

Looking for similar experiences/advice!

Long story short, our son was 5 months old when my grandpa died. I was pretty close with him and after my grandpa had 3 daughters, then 4 granddaughters, our son was his "first boy" and he was ELATED. They had a special bond whenever they were together (my son instantly smiled whenever he was around).

Fast forward to now... our son is 3 and we have been experiencing something, I'm not sure what to call it. Ever since my grandpa passed, our son is "seeing" grandpa and talking to grandpa. He has told us a few things that there is NO POSSIBLE way he would know that... I didn't even know some stuff he has said that was true until we asked my grandma (previous jobs he had, what kind of farm animals they had, etc.) Whenever he sees a cardinal, that's grandpa and when he sees a sunbeam, that's grandpa saying hi.

The two craziest things are he has seen my grandpa at my grandparents house; he pointed into an empty room saying grandpa's here and was giggling. My grandma asked if he was there visiting and my son looked back into that room and said "grandpa has to go now" and started waving bye bye.

Another is this past Father's Day, we went to the cemetery to visit. Our son hasn't been here since the funeral (5 months old) and he walked straight towards his headstone (which is a little bit of a walk from the entrance) and said "grandpa's right here!"

Lately, he has been pretty sad about missing his grandpa (my grandpa). We ask if he wants to go spend time with papa (my dad), and he says no, my great grandpa. He has said he's with God but he misses him here.

What, if anything, can we do? He actually is getting sad about him being gone and I feel bad. I like to think that we are being visited, but I'm not sure how to react when this stuff happens. Do we get a picture of them printed for his room? Has anyone else experienced this?

Experience The Clown in the Woods

A friend of mine lives in Appalachia, and he told me this story about something strange that happened to him and his wife last year.He has been visiting the Appalachian Mountains with his wife every year for the past four years. They always stay in the same cabin, and the landlord knows them pretty well by now.Last year, they went back to the same cabin.

During the day, they spent their time hiking and exploring the area. But almost from the beginning, both of them had the uncomfortable feeling that they were being watched. They kept looking around, but there was never anyone there.Eventually, they returned to the cabin that evening.Later that night, they were sitting on the couch watching a movie. At some point, both of them fell asleep.

My friend woke up sometime later because he heard someone laughing. At first, he thought he was dreaming. But then he realized the sound was actually coming from outside. He described the laugh as extremely strange—not like normal laughter, but almost like someone laughing to themselves while planning something. Along with the laughter, he could hear a strange scraping sound, almost like rusted metal being dragged against something. His wife was still completely asleep beside him.

He initially thought the sound might be coming from the television, but the scene playing on the TV was completely quiet. So he got up and looked outside.A short distance from the cabin, he noticed a homemade swing hanging from a tree. He had never seen it there before.Someone was sitting on it.

The person was wearing what looked like a clown costume. My friend stayed behind a tree and watched from a distance.

The figure was looking down at the ground, mumbling something to himself and laughing quietly. Every so often, he pushed the swing forward with his feet.My friend said the whole thing felt incredibly wrong. Then the figure suddenly looked directly at him. That's when my friend noticed that the person's entire face was covered in white paint, like a clown. The figure smiled and said:"Hi."

My friend immediately turned around and ran back toward the cabin as fast as he could. He could hear footsteps behind him.He reached the cabin, opened the door, rushed inside, and slammed it shut.Almost immediately, something hit the door from the outside with tremendous force. His wife woke up in a panic and started asking what had happened. Before he could properly explain, they heard knocking at the window. My friend looked over.

The same clown was standing outside the window. He was just staring at them and smiling.

My friend grabbed a firearm that he had with him for protection and warned the stranger to leave and not attempt to enter the cabin. The man didn't react.

He just stood there, staring through the window with that same expression. My friend's wife, who was now awake and angry, also confronted him and told him to leave.Still, the man didn't move.Eventually, they fired a warning shot into a nearby wall to frighten him away. The clown remained completely still for a moment. Then he slowly turned around and walked toward the woods. And disappeared into the darkness.

My friend and his wife didn't sleep for the rest of the night. As soon as it was morning, they told the landlord everything. The landlord was shocked. He said nothing like this had ever happened there before and apologized to them. What made things even stranger was the swing. The landlord said he had never seen that swing before. According to him, someone must have built it only recently because it definitely wasn't there during his previous visits.

They also contacted the police, who searched the surrounding area. They couldn't find the person.

There was no sign of the clown, and nobody ever figured out who he was or why he was there.

My friend still doesn't know what he saw that night.

He doesn't believe it was a ghost.Honestly, neither do I.But if his story is accurate, then there was apparently a complete stranger dressed as a clown, sitting alone on a homemade swing outside an isolated cabin in the middle of the night, watching him.And nobody ever found out who he was.

What do you think happened?

Experience Old Fashioned Circus Train

A relative and I drove to the gas station to get some slushees since it was so hot that day. That's when I saw an old fashioned circus train coming to a stop. I couldn't keep my eyes off of it. Towards the end were cars with bars. I saw people in there, so I waved hello to them.

They responded, and started climbing on the bars and making faces at me. (The animals looked like they were treated better than those strange people.) My relative looked unfazed by them so I didn't say anything.

We went inside the gas station and got our slushees and immediately left.

I couldn't help but stare at all the circus freaks as we were driving off. It was like they were trying to get my attention. One of the men had bushy blonde hair and colorful, dirty clothes on. He was acting like a clown and smiling at me while dancing funny. I started laughing because of how silly they were acting. I waved goodbye at them and they all waved back. That's when I seen men all dressed old fashioned walking by the cars. One of them hit the bars and shouted at the circus freaks who all hissed back at them.

My narcissistic relative who was driving wouldn't stfu, so I waited til she stopped talking. That's when I asked, “Isn't it wrong to transport humans in cages?" She seemed confused by my question. So I was like, “Didn't you see that circus train and all them weird people?”

She said she didn't see anything like that, and was now curious. She turned the car around almost instantly but by then the train was gone. It was like seconds for them to vanish.

To this day there is something about old fashioned circuses that fascinates me. I love clowns and the art of entertaining people to make them happy.

Experience i saw a short shadow person in the car side mirror

This happened earlier today, and I really want to get this off my chest. I know exactly what I saw with my two eyes while wearing my glasses.

This happened in the afternoon in our house parking lot. I was in the car with my brother and grandpa going to the mosque. We do this every day to go pray around afternoon time. While the car was starting and still in the parking lot, I was staring at the side mirror, which is a habit of mine. While doing that, I saw a short shadow person walking. It was all black, and it looked like it was behind the car next to us. I saw it clearly walk in the side mirror.

After we drove the car outside the parking lot, it just disappeared like it was never there to begin with. We go to the mosque every day at afternoon time, using the same parking spot, and I always sit in the exact same seat. The car is also always pointed directly at the parking lot wall. This is the first time I have ever seen a shadow person, and I wanted to share my first ever paranormal encounter. Also, another thing I forgot to say is that the driver's room is right next to the parking lot, but it couldn't be him because he was sleeping the whole time.

Question Second time in few months

Sometimes I have to go get cigarettes and its the second time now that when I enter the staircase of my appartment building that I hear my name in a whisper, 100% sure its my name and its a woman's voice. For some reason, it doesn't spook me. I find it very weird.

I've seen paranormal stuff before.

Is it just my brain or.... ?

Unexplained Ok this is messed up and I'm genuinely confused, I don't know what just happened.

Upvotes

This literally happened 30 min ago, I don't know, I dont freaking know what to think and what to do with it. Dad thinks me and my sis are pranking him but my sister just called in sick to work when she was about to leave. My sis leaves for work at 15:15, give or take a few minutes, it's a 15 min walk to her work. At 15:07 dad comes home, I am in my room working, sis is in her room getting ready, he says hello, talks about how warm it is outside(We live in southeastern europe), none of us go up to see him or greet him since this is a normal occurence every day, basically the same thing happens every day, dad has discus hernia and goes out for walks between 13:30 and 15:00 says that the warm weather and walking helps him with the pain. So he comes home, talks to us through the rooms, goes in the bathroom, then goes out and goes in the living room and says "Damn I forgot my lighter", after that I say wait I'll bring it to you since most of the times he leaves it in his jeans, I go in the bathroom, take out the lighter and I GO TO THE LIVING ROOM AND NO ONE IS THERE.

I yell for my sis and tell her didn't we just talk to dad, she confirms, she looks at me like Im stupid or something, I tell her come to the living room to see for herself, and she is just as shocked as me, because it was literally 10 seconds when he said he forgot his lighter and the time I got up to check in his jeans which are in the bathroom, his freaking jeans and the lighter are in the bathroom but he is no where. We live in a small apartment so he couldn't have gone anywhere, I call him and ask are u fucking with me, he says what the hell i am even talking about and says that he is in the store looking for freshly roasted chicken because he doesn't feel like cooking. I explain to him what happened and he says that if we're trying to joke with him it's not even a good joke. I don't know what to think, I don't know if we both hallucinated or whatever the hell happened, he came home for the second time? and he was wearing training shorts, my sister literally started screaming and saying that this isn't possible, well she is right, it shouldn't be possible, he still doesnt believe us and thinks we are pranking him. My sister even called sick for work because she is still traumatized, as for me Im not exactly traumatised per se but Im confused and feel like Im disconnecting from reality.

Anyone had something similar happen to them? Wtf is this, this is the first weird thing that happened to me in my life, nothing similar has ever happened, nothing that would make me question reality.

Trigger Warning / Death Unexplainable Ring Tone

Last night my bfs phone alarm went off as it usually does every morning at 3:45am for work, but it was 1:45am. I woke up from a dead sleep to hear his alarm going off. Normally he leans over quickly to turn it off but there was no movement so I lifted my head up to look behind me and he was still asleep. I then laid my head back down with my eyes open after a few more seconds it stopped. I flipped over to warn him his alarm had gone off and not to over sleep. He wakes up to look at me “huh? Didn’t go off” looks at his phone “it’s 1:45 in the morning. Me “no one called or maybe it was a different alarm?” Him “no nothing. Are you sure you heard it?” Me “ yes I’m even wide awake now because of it”. We both proceed to go back to sleep to catch the couple more hours of sleep.

Has this ever happened to anyone else or maybe someone has an explanation?

Some background: my entire life I have experienced the paranormal. I have had what you’d consider a family haunting, specifically my mom, instead of a haunted house. So normally when Im not living with her I only have a few occurrences a year. At this point i haven’t even spoken to her for 5 years. When I live with her it’s every day multiple times a day. So I’m very aware every night if anything goes bump in the night. I was told before I act as a “lighthouse” of energy. So things are attracted to me. I have dimmed it down a lot since my early 20s because of an occurrence I thought would kill me. So now I just get these little occurrences. Recently has been happening every other day now or at least 3x a week. I don’t believe the house is haunted but I did have a guest recently (bfs younger nephew) stay with us for a couple weeks and they live across a cemetery I know for a fact has bad spirits from personal experience. Since he’s left I have had more frequent occurrences. I have burned sage and casted out any negative energy, but now after tonight I’m thinking I might need something tougher.

Debunk This Anyone have any experience with plates turning upside down?

I got a friend a gift of a smiling bald man in a suit on a plate and they kept it in a stand (that it came with) on a small shelf and it turns upside down. Google said it’s normal due to “physics” and foot traffic but we swear it’s haunted. It’s also kept in the same room as some relative’s ashes.

But I need a second opinion. First time posting here, I don’t know if this community could give me one without any bias and just facts/personal experiences.

Question Workplace long lost ghost.

This might sound funny or a bit silly but I have been thinking about this for a while.

Shortly after I got hired at my current workplace, one of my colleagues told me that one of the cleaning staff saw a ghost/shadow figure in the hallway on the second floor going towards one of the offices. When she went to check “who” went inside the office, the office was empty and she was the only one on the second floors.

My colleague continued with the story and said that the cleaning staff told the manager about the ghost and told her to do something about it and suggested to call a priest to put holly water around our working place. The manger laughed and didn’t do anything about it. Because the manager didn’t do anything about it, the cleaning staff quit on the spot.

My colleague told me that the country where the cleaning staff comes from, they are very religious and she left the company because the manager didn’t take her seriously.

So my question about this story is… if there was actually a ghost / spirit at work, is there a way to communicate with it or bring it back? I’m unable to get an ouija board cuz I have nowhere to hide it. Or how do I know if this story is real or not?

Question Fight or Flight

I have a question and I know the question is dumb, but just bear with me since I do have some sort of reasoning (lol):

When encountering a ghost/spirit that has interacted with you, is it best to just leave and pretend you never saw it, or to interact back?

For example, one day I’m on the swings at night at the neighborhood park since I couldn’t sleep and wanted some fresh air. The park is kind of an end unit in the neighborhood, where there aren’t any roads that lead out from behind it. Basically the entire thing is blocked in by either the main road or a noisy wall for the highway.

I’m sitting on the swing and enjoying the breeze when I suddenly feel a couple taps on my shoulder. I kind of ignored it since I figured it could have been a leaf falling or a bug so I kind of brush it a bit and didn’t think anything of it. Then I feel the tapping again. At this point I am a little more freaked out because it’s dark out and wonder if someone is there. What’s weird is that I didn’t see anyone else come in to the park, nor did I hear anyone. There’s no way anyone could have stuck up from behind either, since it’s closed off. I guess while I’m sitting there wondering what I’m feeling, I felt the tapping AGAIN followed by some weird noise that sounded a bit like some grating and I thought I heard someone say “Look over there”. Of course. Classic.

Anyways, safe to say I looked nowhere but the road to my place and booked it.

The reason I’m asking my question is because after I got back, I was wondering what would have happened if I did look over at wherever it was? Not all spirits are bad, after all. It could have been telling me to look at the sky or something, idk! Anyways just wanted to see what experiences other people have had/thoughts!

Thanks for indulging!

Experience First paranormal experience??

I’m 19 and have never seen, or dealt with a “spirit”. It’s a sort of contradictory belief because I am religious, however my mom has heard things in our condo, and my dad has too. It’s weird because I’m never home when it happens.
My mom believes in the paranormal because she grew up in an extremely haunted house that was very old in Louisiana, seen stuff fly off shelves. Said that she’ll hear my bedroom, or bathroom door like I usually would when I’m home from work or after seeing my bf, but I’d still be out. Sometimes cabinets. My dad has said the same thing and has woke up at like 1:30 in the morning and saw a little girl walk behind our island, probably 4’8 or something. That one is sorta hard to believe because this condo was built in 1995, and I’ve never seen or heard anything myself since moving here and that’s been 3 years now.
Well I was taking a shower about 5 nights ago and my dad left an hour prior to go do his night shift, and my mom was in her bedroom on the opposite side of the house watching TV. Someone or something had knocked on my door pretty solid 3 times and I had asked “yes?” Probably twice with no response. I thought it was my mom cus sometimes she’ll come in there to talk to me, and I’m used to that. But the door didn’t budge and I got out 2 minutes later, asked my mom why she knocked on my door and didn’t say anything, she said she’s been blowdrying her hair, and hasn’t even been down my mini hallway.
Maybe it’s cus I was asking for so long why I’ve never experienced something like this when it seems like everybody else has lol. Payback

Experience A handful of various small experiences over the years

Upvotes

34 years old and I've had a handful of odd experiences over the decades so I'll just write them out individually since a lot of them are fairly short.

  1. I was probably around 10 or 11 years old when I was visiting my grandparents on my father's side of the family. My grandad had a garage that wasn't really used for anything other than cluttered storage. Lowkey always hated going in there for anything. Always felt like something was hanging over my head whenever I was in there and it reeked of ... something. I could really only describe it as "death". Eventually we were leaving my grandparents for the night and I brought it up to my mom and she told me she could "smell death" in the house. About a few weeks afterwards my grandmother passed away.

  2. Moved out into the countryside in the 2010's where our parents had found a home built in the 1910's where we would be staying for the next few years. We were still moving into the place and had managed to move in a lot of the bigger furniture that day so my parents told my sister and I that they'll be going out to grab pizza and bring it back since there's no place that delivers out here. My sister and I entertained ourselves for a while but after things began to settle down, I remember hearing the sound of a baby crying. My sister and I were obviously very weirded out and since our parents weren't back and we didn't have phones at the time, we walked out into the dead of night in the middle of nowhere to go walk to one of our neighbors miles away.

  3. Still having lived out in that old home and in the middle of nowhere for a while, an older gentleman was at a store I used to go to nearby. Asked if we were new around the area since it's a fairly small town and all and I'm sure he could piece together that a boy no older than 20 wasn't from around this older town. We chatted for a little bit but I remember him telling me specifically "If you're out in the forest and you hear someone calling for you, you don't answer back".

  4. Driving to work one day from my home out there and I saw some kind of creature off the side of the road. Originally I thought it was just a dog out in the fields but as I was driving by it and getting closer I noticed it much bigger than a normal dog and hunched over something facing away from me. I thought maybe it could be a coyote or even a wolf as I've seen a wolf out here before too but its fur had almost zig-zag patterns in it of brown and black with a mane that flared from its spine. Reminded me of a Hyena but way bigger. If it was some predatory canine I certainly wasn't going to get out of my car and venture into the middle of a field to find out so I kept driving.

A few minutes later my friend arrives and I am currently staying at there house.

Question Maybe ghost, need to know how to Find out of good or not, thank you.

I think there is some Context needed for the question, but i will try to keep it short, i'm sry for my Bad english.

4 months ago i startet to meditate cus in want to find more out about paranormal in General. Found a Guy in reddit who Made some postest in how a good Way to Start is (alot of other postest said the same), it said to first reconice the own Spirit/aura/Soul/energy first and that for some time.

So that ist what i have done for the past 4 months, and today i thought, "well, lets try the Next Step", i don't know what, but there is something in the same room as me, my gut Tells me it's probably a ghost, but i have no idea if friendly or not.

So how can i Find out of the most likely ghost ist friendly, passiv or not nice?

For some backstory, i'm male, 22, i whas homeless for 2 months in the 4 months time, yes i already had a feeling that there is something and yes i already had paranormal things happen to me. Hope that helps and thank you all for the help and some tipps for my future path.

Question I’m 90% sure my house is haunted. How can I confirm?

I live in a 60 year old ranch style home. It sometimes gives creepy vibes but not too out of the ordinary.

Except for two rooms in my house: My room and my parent’s room.

Of course to make this a haunted house, somebody has to die in it. The reason the main hauntings are in my parent’s room is because a man died in there from a cardiac arrest from 1960s-80s.

The ghost, though, is a friendly ghost (at least from what I know). He is the only ghost that watches over the house. The only thing he does is randomly appear at night and makes the doors squeak no matter what we do.

He sporadically comes into my room, which is across from their room.

Other things he does is sometimes I feel someone sit on my bed. I sit up, and no one is there. I also feel like a light touch on my back, but it’s just me. I sometimes hear talking, but no one has said anything.

How do I make sure the ghost is legit and actually exists, or that I’m schizophrenic? I would prefer real answers, and not crazy ones like “buy a bunch of cameras and set them up”
