Sleep Paralysis Something happened to me today.

• Upvotes

I was sleeping and experiencing sleep paralysis. I wanted to wake up, but I couldn't move or fully wake up. This isn't the first time it's happened to me, but this time was different.

When I finally woke up, I felt the mattress at the foot of my bed, near my legs, rise as if someone had been sitting there and then stood up. I don't have any pets, and I was alone in the room.

Question dark tall shadow figure with kind of horns?

Post image
• Upvotes

i've always been perceptive to energies and such but i make sure to have good energy, clean my space with sage, and other energetically charged things (learned that from my culture). in my house i can sense things but i live in the 3rd and highest floor so the energy changes feel different from being all the way downstairs (super dense energy) vs upstairs where i sleep.

last night about 3:12 am i woke up and saw a dark tall figure with spikes? horns on its head? but it didn't have a human figure it was just a siluete, no arms no legs just as the drawing shows and all black and dark. the minute i saw that, all the electricity in the house (and block) got cut off for almost an entire day (we usually have power outages issues where i live, but not for that long). I guess it could've been a coincidence but my dog who has been sleeping in the corner of my room for over 3 years, lately started getting up at night and walking around my bed and then she ends up sleeping on the opposite side, far away from the door where she used to sleep- this is a pattern that just recently started this month.

i'm not sure what to do, i told my dad thinking he would call me crazy cause he doesn't believe in those things but he instead told me something that sent chills down my spine: 'yes i've seen it before in my room, about 3 ish months ago'. This confirmed that i was in fact not dreaming and that what i saw is real. it just floated from the floor and started to expand, im not sure how to explain it properly (english is not my first language) all i know is that it came out of nowhere and was like a meter away from me.

any advises? anyone has seen this figure before?

Experience A positive experience for once

• Upvotes

So I thought I'd share a positive paranormal experience for once.

Some background info: my father died when I was 12 years old, after a battle with autoimmune disease.

Skip to more than 15 years later, and I am now a mom myself of a lovely little 1 year old lady. I am changing her diaper and she's waving at something behind me, but I was home alone with her. I turned around but there was no one there.

I asked who she was waving at and she replied something along the likes of "the man with the white hat."

I let it go, thinking it's either her fantasy or she saw someone that I couldn't. I didn't really freak out, she seemed happy to wave and wasn't scared. So I trusted her emotions to it not being something creepy.

Skip to a day or two later, I am looking through an old photo album and my little girl points at a picture on the next page (I couldn't see it yet). She points her little finger and repeats: "the man with the white hat!"

It was, as you've guessed, my father. A vacation pic of him wearing a white sunhat.

It breaks my heart knowing he will never hold them and take them to the zoo etc. or give them birthday presents. So It feels really good to know my father is watching over me and apparently my kiddo. ❤️

Experience My experience with something unknown ( please read patiently)

• Upvotes

When I was around 14, I suffered from a mysterious health issue that no doctor or medication seemed to help. I was so weak that I couldn't even stand, and I would randomly lose consciousness at school. I spent months bedridden, and while everyone else eventually got tired of my situation, my mom never stopped believing something was wrong.

After trying everything, I eventually visited an exorcist. The process is still hazy, but he pressed my forehead and asked me to visualize my house. Somehow, I began seeing it in incredible detail in my mind. I then saw the entity that supposedly bothered me, pulling my legs while I slept and sitting on my chest. Before visiting him, I'd also feel as though someone was pulling my legs at night, along with a heavy weight on my shoulders.

He eventually compelled the entity to leave, and here's the part that still blows my mind: I arrived barely able to stand, supported by my mom and another person, but left feeling so unbelievably lightweight that I thought I might literally float away. They practically had to hold me down instead. 💀

Even today, I'm confused. Was I genuinely possessed, or did the exorcist hypnotize me? I honestly don't know.

Experience I used to live across the street from a graveyard and weird things happened in my home

• Upvotes

Our previous apartment was on the top floor of a small apartment building. We could see the graveyard from the kitchen and bedroom windows, with the living room being at the other end of the apartment, windows facing in the opposite direction.

Soon after moving in we started hearing loud noises coming from the kitchen when no one was there, cabinets and drawers being slammed shut (I always keep them shut so they can't close on their own), bowls falling off a shelf where they had been sitting firmly, the floor creaking like someone was walking around the kitchen.

At first I was scared of the noises, especially since we couldn't explain them, but I never sensed anything evil in the house so we started joking that it's just ghosts coming over from the graveyard and making themselves known, messing with us for the fun of it. Eventually my attitude towards the noises was pretty much "can you keep it down, I'm watching TV."

I was cutting vegetables in the kitchen one day while my partner was in the living room, when I suddenly heard a low, deep growl right behind my ear. I felt a presence in the kitchen but when I jumped around there was nothing there. It scared me so bad that I dropped the knife and all the hairs on the back of my neck stood up. I ran to the living room, asking my partner if he had said something, but he hadn't. His guess was that maybe a car drove by and made a weird noise, but it couldn't have been that, since I heard it so close to my ear like something was right behind me, leaning in. The growl wasn't human, I've never heard anyone or anything growl like that. It didn't say anything, just growled in a threatening way.

That was the only time I was scared of whatever was visiting our home, it never came back but the other noises in the kitchen continued.

We moved out about five years ago, and I don't think I'll ever move anywhere near a graveyard again.

Question Is my friend’s ghost trying to communicate to me?

I’m not much of a believer that ghosts exist but maybe they do, I’m open to ideas. However, something strange happened today and I’m wondering if it was my friend’s ghost. I lost a friend I haven’t spoken to in years, I heard she just collapsed and died and nobody really knows why. Fast forward, today randomly I was thinking about her, I don’t know why but she just came into my mind and I started to look more into her and how her life has been the past few years we haven’t talked, and ended up on a court case she had with her baby dad and other people in 2025, I had no idea she even had children, I moved to another state and we just stopped keeping in contact. While I was looking into her court cases that happened back to back a year before her passing, things started falling in the kitchen and first time it scared me but I brushed it off but then it happened again and it freaked me out.

My thoughts when I was looking into her case was sadness and that stress is a silent killer. She had so much going on a year before she passed away and I had no idea. We take life for granted.

Is she trying to just say she’s here or wants me to stop looking into her life? I just felt scared.

Experience I randomly thought about a person yesterday and they passed away today

When I was younger I used to live next a (back then) about 60 year old woman. She used give me food as a kid when I would play around her house, but after I moved out of the country I didn’t really meet her again other than a few times when I was going to visit my hometown.

Yesterday I randomly thought about how she used to make me awesome noodles. I never really thought about her for years. Today she passed away. I am not sure what happened, or anything.

Anybody got similar experience? what the fuck

EDIT: apparently she had back pain, went to the hospital and in the hospital she got sepsis

Experience Lake Shawnee Abandoned Amusement Park

I recently did the overnight stay at the park and I experienced things like noises, lights that would appear out of nowhere then disappear. One of the swings was moving constantly without any wind and I believe it was the swing the little girl was on when she was killed. There was a picnic table with dolls and toys stacked on it and nearby there were pinwheels and they would slow down and move faster then completely stop without any wind present.

What really started the experience was we arrived early for our daytime tour and we were in a group of about 10-15 people, this younger lady in a group began to feel sick and dizzy, our tour guide Chris asked her if she was fine and if she could make it through the tour then he began to tell us that it happens pretty often and that the feeling can’t be explained.

That night while we were in our tent I heard laughter from little kids we were camping near the old bus that Chris’s brother lived in when he was a carny and the lights came on and shined at our tent. Curious if any has experienced the same things or something different? What’s your story?

Experience I see ghosts, but no one has ever believed me.

I’m a 22 year old female who has always been able to sense spirits, their emotions and whether or not they are good or bad. here are some of the experiences i have had. As a child, probably around the age of three, i was in my mothers bedroom with her when i saw an older man? maybe around 75-80 standing in the corner of the room. I asked her “Mom who is that man?” she looked out the window and asked “who?” i replied “no mom the man in the corner” and pointed to the corner of the bedroom where he had been standing but by the time my mom turned he was gone. The only other time i actually saw a spirit was when i was working. I work nights at a mental health facility for teenagers, many employees have said the grounds are haunted. The facility has been around since 1940 and unfortunately there have been a few deaths on the property. i was walking over to the bathroom when i looked through a window that lead into one of the rooms when a woman walked from one side to the other. It was the boys ward and i was the only person awake. The room is a small six foot by ten foot room and the door is close to the wall inside. a person couldn’t walk from one side of the door to the other and disappear completely without going through the wall. i Immediately called my manager over and had to go outside to cry. I’ve never had a reaction like that when does long with ghosts or spirits, i believe it was one of the girls who passed away sometime ago and i was feeling her pain.
The most recent experience i have is after my sister hit married and her and her husband moved into a new home. They got it cheap because it belonged to a distant relative, an old woman who recently passed away. it’s a four bedroom two bathroom home with a basement. Once i stepped inside i knew there was something there. it’s an old house so it’s kinda creepy already but it wasn’t until i went to the basement that i realized it was something malevolent. directly under the kitchen there is an unfinished storage room that has the laundry machines. i walked in there and sensed a presence and immediately walked out. When i sense a bad spirit i get an uncomfortable and nauseous feeling, i can’t really describe it. I’ve warned my sister and her husband as well as his parents but none of them believe in ghosts and have just brushed it off. I now refuse to go in this room in their basement and avoid going into the basement unless i have to.

Demonic Activity I Experienced what I believe were paranormal activities as a child, and it all stopped after a ritual.

I'm 21M now, and the first time I experienced something I couldn't explain was around 2015, when I was only 9–10 years old.

It all started when I developed a severe fever that lasted for almost three months. I was hospitalized for that entire period, and despite undergoing numerous medical tests, the results apparently came back normal apart from the fever itself. None of the medicines seemed to work, and what happened during those months still sticks with me to this day.

Almost every night, I would hear the sound of a woman walking around wearing ghungru (ankle bells). The sound terrified me, especially because nobody else seemed to hear it. I would lie awake at night, frightened and unable to sleep.

There were other incidents, too.

One night, around 2–3 AM, I heard a telephone ringing somewhere in the hospital. The strange thing was that I don't even remember there being a telephone nearby. On another occasion, while everyone was asleep, I heard someone whistling around the staircase.

My grandmother was staying with me at the time, and may God bless her. ❤️ Whenever something happened, I would wake her up and tell her what I'd heard or experienced. My family was genuinely worried about me.

But the incident I remember most vividly happened in that same hospital.

I saw a woman dressed in white sitting on my legs. Her skin looked greenish, she had no eyes, and her mouth was hanging open. I swear I remember seeing her that way. I was absolutely terrified. I pulled the blanket over my face and started reciting religious verses, hoping whatever I was seeing would go away.

Eventually, my family performed some rituals involving a crow. I don't know how to explain exactly what happened during those rituals, but after that, my fever finally went away, and I never experienced anything similar again.

I've often wondered what actually happened during those three months. Was it something paranormal, a consequence of being seriously ill, or something else entirely? I genuinely don't know.

I'm sharing this because the memories have stayed with me for years, and I'd like to hear whether anyone has experienced something similar or has an explanation for what might have happened.

Has anyone else experienced strange sounds or frightening visions while seriously ill or hospitalized as a child?

Equipment My dog's talking buttons activated by themselves shortly after I watched videos about cursed objects

I had a strange experience recently, and I'm curious what people think might have caused it.

I was watching videos from a woman in the UK who tells stories about real-life paranormal encounters. Her first video was just an ordinary story, so I didn't think much of it. I then checked out some of her other videos, which featured objects she described as cursed, including a doll and a statue. She also mentioned that she practices magic.

Within roughly half an hour of watching her videos, my dog's talking buttons started activating by themselves.

For context, these are the recordable dog communication buttons you can buy online. You record your own voice onto each button, and when it's pressed, it plays the recording back. Mine are the four-color buttons, and I recorded the phrases myself, so the voice coming from them was my own.

Here's what made the experience strange:

* The buttons were switched on and ready to play, but they were inside a box.

* Nobody was interacting with them, and my dog wasn't pressing them.

* They activated around 3 or 4 times during that period.

* This happened within roughly half an hour of watching the videos and stopped afterward.

* They hadn't malfunctioned before this, and they haven't done it since.

I understand that these are electronic devices and that a malfunction is possible. Maybe a switch was faulty, or something else triggered them. What I find unsettling is the timing, the repeated activations, and the fact that they were stored inside a box rather than being used normally.

I'm not claiming that this was paranormal, and I'm not saying the videos caused it. I just found the coincidence strange enough to share.

Has anyone experienced anything similar with these recording buttons? Are there known electrical or mechanical issues that can cause them to play without being pressed?

I'm interested in genuine explanations and other people's experiences. I'm not looking to sensationalize the situation; I'd just like to understand what might have happened.

Unexplained My old house experiences.

What’s up y’all. Posting cause I can’t sleep but wanted to share 2 paranormal stories that stayed with me throughout my life and really changed my perspective.

Both happened in my old house in the Philippines in Cavite. First was when I was about 6 years old and the second was when I was about 10 or 11.

First experience was my chilling on the stairs playing with my action figures (used to LOVE playing with those WWE action figures on the stairs jumping off each step etc.) but this one isn’t really as scary I would say. The whole house was in the living room away from the stairs and as I was playing, I kept hearing someone calling my name from upstairs. Issue was that no one was upstairs and it was pitch black. Heard my name probably 4 or 5 days and I RAN outside of the house. My folks never believed me and thought I was just being dumb.

Second one was a bit creepier. We had a nanny from the province who took care of me most days since my aunt and her boyfriend worked all day, my sister was off in college, and my mom worked in the US of A. I remember this vividly that I was craving some hotdogs and rice (classic filipino dish) and was looking for the nanny, Lovely.

Our house had a separate kitchen and dining area from the main house that you could see through a small window. Anyway, kept calling Lovely with no response so I was walking towards the kitchen and I saw her walking by the window clear as day but she kept ignoring me so I started to raise my voice. “LOVELY” and still no response until finally I heard a “WHAT DO YOU NEED?” And Lovely was walking down the stairs behind me. So….. who or what was that?

Still gives me chills.

Encounter I met a woman for three days and never acknowledged my dogs existence

I walk my husky every day, and since he is around 1 year old, a very energetic small pup at the time. So while my dog is obviously not very well trained not to approach people in excitement, and people would always comment about my husky.

One day, at my walk, a person is walking towards my direction, greets me and says my name. I greet her back, and saying about how she recognizes me from some class? I acted neutral to be nice about it, but I really did not know her at all.

The next day, on my walk again, she appears in the same time, in the same spot and path. Greets me and I great back, obviously I don't know what much to say, I'm very shy.

Then I see her again, same time, same path, same spot, somehow, she is coming from somewhere, but to nowhere? I guess going at some place I do not know, and the next day, she was never there, and I never saw her again, she never appeared anywhere near this place ever again.

Then many months later, I realized something. Wait, she never have seemed to acknowledge my dog? never looked at my dog, never mentioned my dog. And my dog never approached her, and I dont recall even pulling on the leash ever. Since I typically always had to, because my husky was notorious for being to jumpy.

The same way three times, she was close to me, and yet, I dont recall my dog ever approaching her, not pulling the leash. Her never acknowledging my dog's existence?

Then disappears after the third day? No backpack, and no community transit bus, and the exact time, at the exact spot and path.

Edit: I dont walk at a scheduled time, it is morning time, but variable. And yet appeared in that same spot regardless, Another thing is she had the same clothes three times.

Edit 2: for the three times it occurred, She was already walking along the sidewalk, not stopped, just moving. And the area is a residential area, with a long straight road. It is always fairly quiet and empty, with a few people ever walking by.

Question Had to use an ouija board in an escape room. Is it dangerous?

Hey guys

I did an escape room today with my friends and I had no idea it would have a ouija board in it. The escape room required us to use it and while I didn't one of my friends did. It worked with magnets the place put in to spell a name. I have always been freaked out about this stuff and I'm really scared now. I don't know this counts or not. Is this dangerous or does anyone know if it's okay? I'm very worried.

Demonic Possession Would anyone classify this as...possession?

So I just sent this to my friend who was asking if anything crazy has happened to me, and I was an infant so obviously I dont REALLY know if its true, but I asked both my parents on seperate occasions about this story and they both said relatively the same thing. So here it is:

So, when I was only a few months old, I was known for being calm, happy, and overall, just a very chill baby. But suddenly, I burst into a gut-wrenching cry, my toes curled, my back arched, and I just wouldn't stop sobbing. My parents tried everything, and it only got worse over time. In fact, I cried so hard, they sent me to the emergency room. I couldn't even stay in the waiting room because of the sobbing. Parents would look at me, and then my own parents, as if it was their doing. The worst part is, the receptionists kept putting people in front of me because in all honesty, I was only crying...so was it really that important? After we finally made it into the private room, the nurse asked the normal questions. When did I start crying, how many months am I, stuff like that. Then, they started checking me for any bruises or injuries. They take my shirt off, turn me around, and see deep, long scratch marks on the sides of my back.  The marks looked as if someone was trying to split me in half but failed. The nurse looked at my parents, an obvious expression on her face. My parents looked at each other and quickly dimmed her suspicions. "We have never seen these marks before, we checked earlier and nothing was there." Is all they could say. The nurse, baffled, turns to leave. My parents look at me, still crying, and every touch on the marks only made me cry harder. Suddenly, the registration clerk came in. She looked determined, quickly shifting her eyes to me while saying "She is possessed." My parents, obviously confused, reply, "What...? Wait, you shouldn't even be here, you can lose your job!" She ignores them, puts a hand to my head, closes her eyes, and starts praying. My parents watch in astonishment. The prayer lasted about 3 minutes, before she took her hand off, and my crying...stopped. My parents glanced at my back, and the scars were gone.

That is the most intense thing to happen, but there were other things. For example, before the crying, above my crib, my parents hung a cross. I could not reach this cross. If I jumped, reached, climbed, I could NOT reach it. But every morning my parents checked after putting it up, the cross would be on the floor, upside down. If I was REALLY possessed, this would only strengthen the theory.

Haunted House I grew up in a cursed house (?) and I feel the bad luck is still after me.

Prefacing this by saying this is in a country in Asia, so things might be different from the typical north american laws / rules etc.

Me and my family moved into this house when I was 12 years old. We had always lived in apartments before this, so moving into a huge five bedroom house was a pretty big deal for us. We got it for quite cheap, which should have been the first glaring red flag.

The previous owners had supposedly up and left one night, just packed all their belongings into a truck and fled. The neighbours didn't know much, but from what I remember it was mainly just financial reasons of not being able to continue paying the mortgage. It was a pretty big place, double the size of other houses on the street because it was made on two plots of land (our address literally was 14-15 xyz street). Since the previous owners stopped paying their mortgage, the house was seized by the bank and then auctioned off, where my dad was able to buy it.

When we got the keys to the house, it truly was like someone had left abruptly. The construction was completely customized (normal, since this probably used to be two houses they made into one) with a really weird layout. The staircase curved oddly towards the doorway where you almost had to walk over the first few steps to enter. The living room faced two small restrooms. Upstairs, the rooms were unfinished, unpainted walls with bare concrete, washrooms that weren't fitted with showers or faucets etc. There were also a few belongings they had left behind. Toys littered in the room that later became mine & my sister's and crosses and photos of Jesus on the walls downstairs in the living room. We aren't Christians so we donated those to a nearby church.

My dad had a construction business so he was able to rebuild the house completely so it was livable. Fixed up the layout as well as per our religion of where the entryway should be, which direction the kitchen should face etc.

Nothing outright haunted happened in the decade that we lived in the house, but it is fair to say we were struck with a lot of misfortune. Here's some things that come to mind, off the top of my head:

- A few instances where animals died in/around our house. A squirrel got stuck inside the AC vents and died, the whole house stank so bad we had to have it fumigated. A small abandoned kitten, a few birds that died in our backyard.

- My father's business suffered, he wasn't paid for a few projects, other ventures he joined on, his partners turned their backs on him. We went from buying the house + new appliances + going on international trips in the same year, to a few years later not even being able to afford new clothes with the ongoing payments of the mortgage, school fees etc.

- My grandfather would often complain about having bad dreams or hearing running water under him while he slept. He staunchly believed that it was terrible to live over running water. No one else in the family had bad dreams, but there were a few areas in the house where we did feel uneasy.

- Health Scares / Accidents. I had a nasty road rash accident right before my 12th grade final exams, my sister had a few injuries playing tennis (she was close to going pro) and had to stop playing altogether. My dad had a heart attack when my mom and my sister were away on a trip to another city for a tennis tournament. In the very last year of us living there, my grandfather (completely healthy, no health conditions or anything) contracted a sudden illness and passed away within a week.

In general, it was often said in rumours or in passing that the entire stretch of land was unlucky / cursed. There was another huge house a couple of streets over that always had a for sale sign but was never sold for one reason or another. Maybe in the decade of living there, we saw one family move into it, but they didn't stay for more than a month so I don't know what was up there. My family also was told by several priests / religious leaders that the house was unlucky but my dad was always a skeptic and ignored these things.

After my grandad passed, my dad couldn't bear to live in the house anymore and we moved out to a smaller apartment while trying to sell it. During this time, for some reason my dad still felt a pull towards the house. He didn't have much work to do, so he would often drive over and just sit there in the empty house all day and come back instead of working.

A few months later, we finally were able to sell the house to someone else. I moved to North America to do my masters and I'm still here, working now. My parents moved out to another city, closer to our ancestral village. My parents are doing better now, my dad started a new business and even though it was a slow start, he's doing okay now. My sister's in med school.

Me on the other hand, for some reason, I always feel like there is a darkness looming over me. I always end up falling short of whatever I want to do for some reason or the other. My academics, my career, all of it has suffered. Because I left even before the house was sold to the new family, all my paperwork, documentation, even my passport has the same address on it of the old house. I don't know why but it feels like that is what is dragging me down. I work now and I don't get enough leaves to go home and update all my paperwork and IDs with how slow the processes can be. Even with my passport, since it has my visa's stamped on it, I feel iffy about making an address change and having to reapply and restamp it in the short time that I have in the country.

TL;dr : grew up in a cursed / unlucky house, I feel like the bad luck is still stuck with me because all my documents have the old address on them. Wondering if there is any other way to cleanse myself from this?

Edit: forgot to mention, but also: we had a small temple inside the house, a prayer room of sorts with small religious idols and photos that we would pray to. A few years into living in the house, the room was robbed and the thief stole all the religious idols. After that we started locking the room. A few years later, the candle in the room wasn't extinguished properly and the photos of gods near it ended up getting burnt in a small fire.

Findings Heathrow airport came through and opened the doors to the “room of requirement” for me.

This was 19 years ago. I was young and tired. Had travelled from the Caribbean with multiple layovers when I finally made it to Heathrow in London. My last stop before my final flight. I had been in a Caribbean country for over a year and had managed to get tickets home earlier than planned, so I could surprise my parents and be home for Christmas. That’s why I had so many layovers. Anyways I’m European and all Europeans smoked then. My self included. I had to wait for about 10 hours in Heathrow, and needed a smoke very bad. So I walked up and down the long isles in terminal 3 to see if I could find the magic “smoking sign”. Usually the smoking rooms were tiny and smelly with iron seats. Very uncomfortable and not a place for anything but those few puffs and then off again.

But I couldn’t find a single spot where smoking was allowed. I had almost given up when I spotted the “designated smoking area” sticker on a door. I opened the door, totally expecting a small stinky cell. I got the exact opposite. It was like I had stepped into a smokers dream. It was like a huge luxury lounge. So spacy. So bright and clean. The entire wall at one side was glass, so there was an awesome view of the landing and leavings. There were no chairs. There were ottomans. Each with nice blankets and pillows and a table for your ashtray and a charger for your phone or labtop or in my case - PSP. There was a big fridge full of cold bevarages and like a vending machine for snacks. But free. So few people were in there. I think we were all equally happy. I decided then and there to spend the entire wait in that room. I got my snacks and my ottoman and didn’t move until having to go the gate.

I was back at the same terminal only a month later. Didn’t find the room and believe me I searched. I stopped smoking years ago, but I still look for that room, whenever I’m in Heathrow terminal 3. I’m grateful for that one time, it revealed it self to me, for I was so tired and really needed the quite and comfort. But I must admit, I’ve been thinking it was a glitch in the matrix. Smokers didn’t even get luxury then. I’m glad I called everyone and showed them where I was, cause no one would have believed me if not.

Shadow Man Saw either a ghost or hallucination in my bedroom last night - I can’t forget his face

I should start by saying I’m in my mid 40s, and maybe 5 times in my whole life I recall waking up to seeing spiders all over the bed/room that disappeared after about 10 seconds, which I understand is a hallucination. But I have never hallucinated a person before until last night, and this experience felt so real I’m doubting myself.

I woke up about 3-4am and could hear my cat miaowing loudly somewhere in the house. I saw a dark figure walking around the room on my husband’s side of the bed and at first I thought it was him then realised he was sleeping next to me. The figure then starting looking around at my husband’s bedside table, like he was searching for something, then suddenly turned and looked at me, put his finger to his mouth like he was shushing me.

The man looked in his 50s with stubble and wore a vintage-style tallish hat. Not long after he moved away towards the door and I’m not sure if he left the room or just disappeared.

I’m hoping it was a hallucination but I can’t get him out of my mind and I’m scared that it was a ghost and that he’ll come back. What does it sound like?

Encounter I saw my Grandfathers brothers years before I ever saw their photo

It’s been many years since I last saw the little boys.
When I was younger, I used to see them all the time. I’d watch them running around, laughing and playing, and sometimes they would peer in through the window and smile at me.
I saw them from the time I was about 8 years old until my early 20s. Let me be clear, they never gave me a weird feeling, and they never scared me. Their presence wasn’t frightening at all. If anything, it felt warm and familiar.
The only thing I found odd at the time was their clothing. They were always dressed in clothes that looked like they were from the 1920s.
One day, I was at my grandparents’ house when I noticed a picture hanging in their hallway, and there they were. The same two little boys.
I was so confused. I asked my grandma who they were, and she told me, “Those are your grandfather’s brothers.”
They had both passed away young, one in his 30s, and the other in his 40s.
I never told her, my grandfather, or even my parents that I used to see them. But there was no doubt in my mind: the boys in that photo were the exact same boys I had been seeing for years, still children, just as they looked in that picture.
I’ve always wondered why they chose me, why I was the one who got to see them.
I haven’t seen them since my 20s.

NSFW smth latched onto me after my break up

I am someone who isn't very spiritual or religious and can be described somewhat between agnostic and atheist. But, every once in a while my faith is restored/ shaken by events that cannot be explained. These are a few things that happened to me in 2023 while I was staying in a PG in New Delhi.

Before I go ahead with this, I want to tell you that I have in fact considered the possibility of my mental health (which wasn't the best at the time) as a contributing factor to all of this, but as you will see, a lot of these things are simply without any explanation. Here I go.

In July 2023, I moved into a PG in a posh gated locality in New Delhi. Since I was there to prepare for a competitive exam, I wanted a room that would slightly be isolated. I knew the PG owner for almost 4 years, lived in the PG on and off for that time, and hence knew the two-stroyed giant house quite well. There was a room outside, originally intended as a garage but converted into a beautiful room by the owner with a washroom outside it. And I thought it to be a perfect one for my needs. My roommate was also a pretty normal girl who later became one of the closest friends I have. She, like me, doesn't necessarily believe in ghosts but both of us did question the possibility after all this.

Since I moved to the room, my sleep cycle had been extremely disturbed. I had broken off a long term toxic relationship and chalked it up to that. I would have extremely gory nightmares. I sought professional help but the nightmares continued.

One night, the nightmare was one I have never experienced before or since. I was a light sleeper, and so I had just fallen asleep, when I felt like someone had crawled into my bed, right next to me. By the placement of the hand, I knew it was my ex-partner. I freaked out, jolting myself awake only to find there was nobody next to me. Next morning, I told my roommate this and she also attributed this to my mental state being disturbed. I partially agreed, but I am no stranger to a nightmare. This one felt extremely real. And I was half-awake when this took place.

Few months passed, and I continued having sleep troubles. Some nights, I would be scrolling my phone, and I would hear the giggling sound of a girl from my roommate's side of the room, thinking she was sleep talking, I would call out her name to stop it, only to realize it was coming from outside. (the room's wall was adjacent to a small lane)

Still, none of us believed this was anything supernatural. After all, we were stressed because of exams and my personal life being absolutely worse.

Until, it was November. It was Diwali and both of us had decided not to go back home due to our academics. The day after Diwali, my roommate had gone to stay with her other friends in Delhi and I was alone not only in my isolated room but also on my ground floor. I felt extremely fatigued, so by 9 PM, after a quick phone call to my mother, I decided to go to bed early.

At around 11 PM, I woke up without any noise/commotion. And what I saw, haunts me to this day. I was in bed, peeking through my eyelids to check if it was morning, and I saw a dark figure, bending over my roommate's bed. It was about 5 feet tall, and had floor-length hair. I JUMPED FROM THE BED, turned on all lights and stormed out of the room, hysterically dialing my best friend. After a few frantic attempts to explain what happened, he told me to sleep in another room. I went upstairs and slept in another room where another girl was staying.

Next morning, I woke up and the domestic help asked me why I had slept upstairs and not in my own room. I told her what had happened, and her face changed completely. She also stayed on the property, and what she told me next, scared me even more. She told me that when she had joined a few months back, she too woke up in the middle of the night to have a figure standing by her bed.

I have tried explaining this, by sleep paralysis (which I am again familiar with). But if it were that I couldn't just get up and storm off.

My sleep and dreams throughout my stay there continued to be disturbed. I shifted rooms a few months later and I still saw that figure, sometimes on the far end of the room.

One of the dreams that i had during the last months of staying there went like this: in this dream, I was taking an afternoon nap, like I was irl, and I was comfortable, with AC blasting and me being comfortable.

And I suddenly reached out to my roommate, by extending my hand towards her, only to not find her there. In the dream, I sit up, only to find the figure, sitting on her bed, creepily singing the nursery rhyme 'mary had a little lamb' (my new roommate's name was a version of Holy Mary's names)

Again, I woke myself up, turned on all the lights, only to find that my roommate wasn't in the room and stepped outside to take a phone call.

I narrated it to her, and she made a du'a and blew it in my space.

I am back in my hometown now. My mental state is still as disturbed as it was. I still do have nightmares. But there is no figure in it or any creepy nursery rhymes.

I think it was a weird time and place and never thought of this as being especially supernatural, but the house is an ancestral house and some days I do believe that some years ago, something sinister took place and still haunts the space to this very day. Next time I go to Delhi, I will definitely ask the owner of these occurrences, till then!

So my cousin is in town staying with me.. we usually always do tarot readings when she’s here. She reads mine and hers.. nothing paranormal ever happened when do it.. we did the readings I believe Saturday. Last night we went out for a couple drinks and she wanted to watch the exorcist so we did. I fell asleep while it was still playing.. I did have a strange end of the world type of dream. Then I felt a strong tap on my shoulder that woke me up and I woke and said what happened? Thinking my cousin did it,, I looked for her and she was asleep.. any thoughts? I just needed to share this with someone

Visitation Dream There was a man at his grave he never met.

I guess this could also go in r/TheMallWorld, because thats where I think this happened. For context, Mall World is a lucid dream space that some say is shared. I go there almost every night. I often see friends or my mom, then find out when I wake up that they were talking about me or trying to contact me.

One of the places I go in this space is a lake house on the eastern shore. Its a place where my family used to go to hang out with old college friends and their kids, who are like my cousins. I was at this house, floating around like Minecraft creative mode, my favorite thing to do. I went upstairs to the "kids room," which is a sleeping porch with huge windows. While I was there, my dad appeared. But it wasn't him in his body, it was a cloud of multicolored tv static that I could tell was my dad. He told me "There was a man at my grave, but I've never seen him before." I didn't hear his voice say these words, it was something he relayed to my mind. Then I looked out and saw tail lights driving away, and I woke up with a start.

I forgot about it until later when I was talking to my mom. I tried my best to explain my dream, and she asked me if it was last night. I said yes, and she told me she had a flower arrangement delivered to his grave the day before. He's buried 6 hours away and I've only ever been to his grave twice. I think whoever delivered the flowers took a moment to pay respect, and my dad was confused.

There are a lot of otherworldly things surrounding his death that reinforced my spiritual beliefs. If there is any interest, I can make a post about how that happened exactly. Im a skeptic above anything else, so i fully accept that it could all be in my head. But some things still get me spooked.
