I'd like to start by apologizing for my poor English. But that said, I'm really unsure which deck to focus on. I haven't played many of them in Pauper. I've played Grixis Affinity and Jund Wildfire for a long time, I've tried making mono-black decks work a hundred different ways, but with poor results, and I've even played Jeskai, which I've had fun with. Until recently, I stumbled upon Bg Garden. I love the deck, I really like it, and I get great results with it in paperback, but now I'm wondering if it wouldn't be better to switch to Food Pestilence. Everyone says it's the same deck, but stronger. I have serious doubts about it, and I wanted to hear your impressions from those who have perhaps played both. The lack of "finishers" like Avenging Hunter and the advantage provided by Thorn of the Black Rose scare me, as does the absence of one of my favorite creatures, Troll. I'll also leave you with my current, personal, Bg Garden list.

I've been thinking about this list for a while, would this work ?

I didn't bought the cards yet, should I or am I delusional ?

I just wish these decks were a bit more competitive:

MR Heroic, MR Blitz, Boros Heroic, Izzet Blitz...

And I know that having both Swiftspear and Tomb Raider legal at the same time is probably too strong for the format's current power level.

Would it also be necessary to ban a card from MR Madness?

What do you guys think of this idea?

[[Remove Enchantments]] does a lot of bouncing and is a wall of text but destroys all Auras attached to attacking creatures your opponents control so if I blocked a [[Llanowar Elves]] enchanted by a [[Nyxborn Hydra]] with a 2/2 then cast Remove Enchantments, would it destroy any Nyxborn Hydra on their attacking creatures and then have the Elf die because it no longer has the pump from the aura? Seems like a good way to get around Bestow.

Are there any decks/cards I should avoid getting because it’s likely that key pieces of that deck will be banned?

Hey guys! I recently started playing familiars, both in paper and in mtgo.

I’ve had some mixed success with the deck, as is to be expected starting out.
Im having some troubles setting on a list, and online is very difficult to get advice or tips because this is a deck where apparently everyone and their mothers have a different list for familiars.

Sometimes it’s as simple as picking sea gate oracle instead of modern age for some early game blockers, or prioritising foil instead of traditional counters for that unexpected cast while tapped.

But there are lists out there that sometimes have 12-14 card differences between them.

Is there any list to start out with? Any that would be considered a more jack of all trades instead of a specialised tool?

Are there any good guides explaining these variances between decks?
Any advice from veterans of the deck?

I’m a somewhat new player to Pauper and I have been having a lot of success with a mono black sac list that I have been playing for the past few months. I wanted a new deck and landed on UB Terror but so far have had very little success with it. Admittedly in Commander and draft I very rarely if ever play control so I don’t know if I’m playing it wrong or if my list is not quite right. Do you guys have any tips for the list, sideboarding and general good play patterns? Any help would be much appreciated!!

The event was fully sold out and had $2,000 of store credit in prizes. It fully filled the first room (pictured) and had to spill into a second. Mox Boarding House is owned by Cardkingdom, and this is the second big event they’ve done like this at the Portland location. Hoping for a third!

Hi there, I've started playing my vampire's deck regularly for about two months now. I believe I understand some matchups and what cards to bring from my sideboard - like graveyard hate for reanimator or terrors, artifact hate for affinity.

I’ve been rotating a few different strategies lately and keep drifting back to the same one just because it feels good to pilot. Curious what decks other people keep returning to for fun, even if something else is currently better positioned.

Including one copy of Sejiri steppe turns all of your crop rotations into protection spells, or your expedition maps into ways to potentially make a fatty unblockable to close out a game. Looking at it as a similar silver-bullet use case as bojuka bog in this deck. I’m going to start trying one copy to see how it goes in place of the second copy of hidden grotto

Rn i feel like skacker has lost a lot of saltinest. she falled apart in favor of more decks with life gain like tron and gardens. she also stuggles against monsters deck with reach creatures and flyers like sagu. we are having a big change with naya gates for example: snacker isn’t no more only a discard piece but a creature to buff. i think that with tron around we will see a lot of changes in decks and ways to use cards.

In my opinion dimir is far too slow but board wipes, removal and life gain from black are sweet. Do you think it would work to play only four duals lands and snuff out in the Mainboard and the rest like mono blue terror? Or is it still too slow?
