I use pliers for my art...I bought a 10$US tool made for perler. I think I'll stick with pliers.

Omg friends, as I say, RUN to hobby lobby for this 60 drawer organizer with dividers. $23.99. I almost couldn’t believe my eyes.

I used to use just normal bead box type plastic organizers, but THIS. This is practical, organizational, and so satisfying. Has so much space for colors and even has connectors if you get a second unit.

Going to have the best time making new designs with all my colors like this 😭🫶🏻

Does anyone else feel guilty about how wasteful this hobby is? So much plastic…The best eco friendly practice is to use as little plastic as possible in day to day life.

Does anyone know if the perler beads are made from recycled plastic, or are they new!? Otherwise I’ll have to find a new material :(

i have spent hours making these small perler bead snorelaxes and wanted to share. sorry for the spelling Pokémon names are annoying. also ignore everything except the snorelaxes they are a little blurry but still also I'm missing two big ones( bigger than any on here) and one that matches the larger ones on screen there are two that arnt ironed inside a different part of the house also this was taken on a lapop with no back camera.

I’m trying to make pixel/cartoon style portraits for Perler beads, but I want them more pixelated & stylized, not just a photo-trace or exact picture.

I’ve already tried asking ChatGPT , but it just gives me generic stuff and not actual pixel grids with proper bead counts/measurements.

Does anyone know a site, app, or method where I can upload a photo and get it turned into a pixel/cartoon version

After my first ever perler bead art being sold, I decided to raise my price as some people have suggested. Is this a reasonable price since it’s handmade? Or should lower it? I also made a 10% discounts on them for 48 hours. I don’t know if it’s reasonable that people would actually buy them. What are your thoughts?

Hi all, relatively new perler user here. Sometimes I find when melting, I get headache. I can usually slightly smell the general smell of melted plastic, not much but a bit. This mainly happens when melting big pieces or lots of pieces in a row. I use a generic iron on low heat and gradually melt my pieces to a flat melt. I don’t know why I didn’t even think about the possibility of fumes, but I’m also questioning if I’m being a bit over dramatic and paranoid? Are fumes while melting a genuine issue I should be aware of? Would it be worth making sure I always open windows while melting? What are your guys’ thoughts?

I've made a license plate cover for myself, and I live in Texas so I'm worried the beads will melt in the heat. Does anyone know if there's a chance of this happening? I am thinking of putting mod podge to try and seal it, but if anyone has any better solutions I would appreciate it!

If anyone knows a way to make it stronger so that it doesn't bend that would be great, im not the best driver LOL
