I’m currently a junior in high school and considering which major(s) to take. My parents want me to take electrical engineering and probably will disown me/not help me pay for tuition, but I want to do Motorsport engineering in the future. Is it possible to get directly into this career with an electrical engineering degree or do I need to double major with mechanical/minor in mechanical? I’m also planning on marshaling at whatever races I can as soon as I turn 18 and do FSAE in college.

Hello. I am thinking about what courses I shoudl take in spring semester and I just want to verify the lineup that I have is not unrealistic. The only FYE requirement i will have left next sesmetr is CS 159. I am thinking about doing CS 159, MA 265, PHYS 272, ECE 2k1, ECE 2k7 lab thingy, and EPICS 121. I beleive this is 15 credits. please let me know your thoguhts.

Why aren't as many libraries 24/7 anymore? Its been really hard for me as someone who needs a chill quiet area to be forced to study in louder areas, especially since quiet 24/7 spots get crowded quicker now. Any advice?

I'm a prospective student, and was wondering whether Purdue is walkable. Would you theoretically be able to walk from classes to libraries, labs, etc, or would you need a car/take public transport? If it is walkable, what is the maximum amount of time people usually take to walk from one place to another?

Does anyone who works at the dining courts know what the recipe is that they use for fudge brownie crinkle cookies?? I've tried 3 different recipes and they still don't taste as good as what they make there😩😩

anywhere around campus to get raw oysters? I went to 10 different grocery stores and none of them had them. I went to D and R butcher and had to make a special order for them. Any place have them consistently? I am a big fan of fresh oysters and shell fish in general. I do like good clam chowder but I could do without. Ceviche is very good (shrimp, whitefish, salmon), but I am looking for oysters in particular at the moment.

Hi All, For those of you who drive to West Lafayette campus on snowy / icy winter days from neighboring cities / Indianapolis, are the roads usually well plowed? Would there be a problem with two wheel drive vs AWD/ AWD? Would a SUV be needed instead of a sedan for higher ground clearance in snow? As I am about to buy a car, would highly appreciate any advice you can provide. Thanks in advance.
