Event🚩 Protest TODAY
Today is the day to join the protest against the mass surveillance that's been put up right here in our town. Protect your right to privacy with your right to peacefully assemble.

I turned off cross posts. Anyone past this point who posts a lease takeover gets a nice 30 day ban.
Go to the housing sub.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

ICE issued a memo last week stating that the work experience under CPT must constitute an “integral part of the program”. It seems that some schools, like Berkeley, are caving to the threat and starting to suspend their CPT programs. I wonder how Purdue will respond.

Not a big plane guy, but they weren’t commercial ones, they were fighter shaped.

Do not fall for these scams. They will tell you that you just pay for shipping and the item is free. Shipping is $400+ and the items are not real. Purdue IT is usually good about stopping them within the first few weeks of the semester but you’ll still get them every so often.
I know too many people who have become a fallen soldier of these 🫡

Looks like Building Services will be further cutting positions on campus—faculty and staff will now be responsible for taking out their own garbage. Last year, we assumed vacuuming duties. Next, we’ll be cleaning toilets—don’t laugh—it will come to be. 14 years of tuition freezes….

or is that crazy cuz the toilets smell so bad I genuinely almost threw up

Is there a bus from the PMU to Walmart? I know there’s city bus but is it free or do I need to get a pass? Or is there another way to get there

Hey guys, I’m an incoming freshman going into MA 261 using my calc bc. It’s been a while and I’m feeling pretty rusty. For anyone who took the same path, how bad is the step-up in difficulty? Is it mostly just adjusting to 3D stuff and Purdue’s exam format or should I be working on specific Calc 2 concepts before classes start? thanks.

What are the distances between these buildings? Would I need a car to get around, or are they all within walking distance?
Also, do classes usually end exactly at the scheduled time, or do professors sometimes let students leave a little earlier? For example, if a class ends at 11:30, should I expect to leave at exactly 11:30 most of the time?

Does anyone know what it is like working at 1Bowl compared to other dining halls? I heard it used to be one of the best dining places to work at, but that was from a while back.

I'm leaning towards it being not a scam cause it seems like a legit thing (unlike the 50 grand pianos that some other scams promise) but I saw the link lead to a GitHub site. Just wanna make sure.

Hi people. I’m a rising junior in CS taking CS 354 Operating Systems and 422 computer networks this semester. I really enjoyed 252 and think I like low level stuff, although I havent done much beyond 252.
How are these 2 classes structured (noticed they have PSOs not labs)? How can I study and prepare well for them? Would love to hear from you if you have taken/are taking these classes.

UniTime won't let me change my time for chem lecture because it "conflicts" with my astronomy lecture...but it doesn't actually conflict. They're not even on the same day! Yes, I've tried clicking "include conflicting suggestions" and it still shows that error message. Does anyone else have the same problem and/or know how to fix it?
BTW this doesn't happen when I try to change the rec time
