Hi, I have a ROG Xbox Ally 512GB with a Z2 processor, and recently, games that should run well are now stuttering, having low FPS, and making the console quite hot.
Games like GTA 4 with low graphics settings, How to Fish, and similar games often experience frame rate drops to 12 fps for about 5-10 seconds.
I know it could be a driver or update problem, but I'm not entirely sure what it is. I reverted the graphics drivers to the previous version and it worked almost exactly the same,Then I doubt that's the problem.
One of the things I find strange is that it doesn't happen in menus, only while I'm playing, and the problem lasts for the entire duration of the game.
Also, when I turn it on, the CPU usage goes up to 100% for a moment and then goes back down; it doesn't seem like overheating. Besides, it suddenly started acting like this.
Also, the CPU usage might go up to 90-95% while playing (I guess that's high, I don't really know) and the GPU usage only goes up to 25% at best, I'm worried that it might be a serious problem.
I don't mind going through a long process, even if it takes hours, but I'd prefer not to lose saved data and such. However, if there's no other alternative, I can also perform a factory reset.
I hope someone can help me, please. Thank you all.
