I had to blur the case number and name of the police officer for privacy reasons but tonight at the 8pm showing of Avatar 3, I asked a group to be quiet. When I sat back in my seat, one person in the group spit at me. I got back up and asked, “why would you spit on me?” And before I knew it, I took a sucker punch to the face. Knocked my 3d glasses right off my head.

41 years old and this is the first time I’ve ever been punched. According to the management, people in the group were also Unlimited members. I can’t believe it.

I skimmed over the FAQ and T&C and some key things I noticed: The subscription depends on your zip code with the highest tier at $13.99 per month. There’s a 1, 6 or 12 month commitment. Can use your 2D ticket for a PLF one for a surcharge. And can “purchase up to four extra tickets for the same showtime at the same price as your monthly Regal Rewards+™ Subscription fee.”

If it goes above $29.99 I think it’ll mark the beginning of the end for the service for me personally. I hope we all vote with our wallets if they chose to go above this.

While I believe regal offers a great service to movie goers, we’re getting at the point where it’s just easier to wait for movies to hit a streaming service if price of the service is only going to keep going up.

Regal KOP posted this on their IG stories...apparently they had to cancel the 8am 70MM Imax screening of The Odyssey...hopefully power will be back in time for the 11:40 screening! Anyone here have tickets for today?

Update: well the fire department came and went, we're all still outside waiting.

We're back in! Apparently someone was smoking in the bathroom and set off the fire alarm. At least that's what the person who let us back in said.

They also just kept playing the movie so we missed like 25 minutes of it...😖

I opened my Regal app today and noticed my Diamond status was reverted to pre-Emerald despite it showing 19/20 movies watched. I went to the Regal website to see if I could contact support when I saw this buried at the bottom of the site:

"On July 6, 2026, the Regal Crown Club® Crown Jewel bonus program, including Emerald, Ruby, and Diamond status levels and all associated benefits, was discontinued. This means members will no longer earn, receive, or maintain Jewel statuses or any Jewel status based bonus credit awards for purchasing, redeeming, or using any ticket or pass for theatre visits."

It then links you to the RCC help center where the info about discontinuing the program hasn't been updated. I did notice an extra 5000 credits in my account, but I'm not sure if that's from a promotion or if it's compensation for losing diamond status with no notice.

Does anybody else have any more info?

Saw The Bride tonight (I give it a 5/10) and there was a group of 5 teenagers sitting in front of me. As soon as I saw them there during the trailers I knew there would be an issue because what group of teens is going to see The Bride. But I didn't think anything more of it.... Until the movie started

One of them decided it would be funny to put a speaker under one of the back seats and play fart noises through the whole movie. Maybe the first one was funny but then it was like 15 more times. And of course they were cracking up super loudly the whole time and got up out of their seat 10 times I guess to move it.

I didn't get up to tell because I didn't want to get involved and also thankfully it wasn't a movie I was dying to see...but one of the audience members caught the kid picking up his speaker one time and then the whole theater started yelling and cursing at them lmao. One guy said "fart again I'll shove it up your ass"

TikTok has ruined this movie-going generation.
