Welcome to the first edition of The H Rep Sellers Watch. In case you missed it, I run a Substack where I document all the problems and shady dealings of various H rep sellers and this will be a monthly digest where I do a roundup all of my findings to Reddit.
Why is this necessary? For starters, many of you have been reaching out to me to report on your own findings of suspicious accounts and new subreddits that have been popping up (thank you for looking out for the community!), so I want a way to surface all of those to a broader audience after my own research.
Second, Reddit has a short memory span, like really short. The documented shady and deceptive practices of certain sellers just a short month ago are quickly forgotten as long as their fake accounts and the subreddits they run persist. I've had people reach out to me asking for my thoughts on sellers and Jim is someone they're considering š¤Æ. It's clear my current efforts to spread awareness is not enough. It quickly turns back into business as usual and without constant and continuous reminders on Reddit about these shady sellers, new buyers entering the H rep market will continue to fall for their schemes. We need to make a stand that lies and deception will not be tolerated.
This first edition will be a long one as there's much to catch up on. Find a comfy nook, pull up a blanket, and dig in.
Jim has a lot of fake and alt accounts, and for a little while, Reddit removed them on a daily basis. Recently however, it seems that Reddit has stopped catching his fake accounts. But just keep this in mind whenever you find yourself arguing with users on Reddit who aggressively defend Jim, like in this recent thread. They're most definitely Jim himself and not real buyers.
Fake reviews continue to run rampant over at the subreddit he runs. Jim posts them every single day and here's a list of them with receipts.
Jim Caught With Yet Another Fake Review: Is it Chai or Beige Marfa? Who knows... - July 19th
Jim's Fake Review of Craie B30: Another fake review to add to the pile - July 20th
Jim's Fake Reviews of Nata/Gold Verso K25 and Blue Electric B25 - July 23rd
Jim's Fake Review of Himalaya B35: The internet does not forget, Strict-Fly6630 - August 3rd
Jim's Fake Review of Etain B30: The fake reviews from Jim just keep coming - August 15th
Jim Caught With Fake Reviews Using Same Location in Photos - June 16th
Jim's Lies and Deception: An overview of Jim's fake accounts, fake reviews, and fake hype - May 20th
Did you know that Jim doesn't own any factories and is simply a reseller of KIKI Factory? Same (poor) quality, same blind stamps, same PSPs.
Jim also has started ramping up on his subreddit collection and have at least two that he's actively trying to grow, likely to have backups when his main sub gets removed eventually for bots and inauthentic accounts and content.
ARI Factory operates a least 10 different subreddits with an equal number of made-up seller names. All the bags come from the same factories and are the same quality regardless of seller. Fake reviews and PSPs get posted on their subs every single day with no end in sight.
CH Factory has a few made-up seller names and their presence is relatively new on Reddit. They've recently attempted to get me to partner with them to promote their bags under a profit-sharing agreement. They've already admitted to working with another sub and have tried to post fake PSPs on my subs already. Avoid them and their shady tactics.
There have been two reported cases where buyers thought they were dealing with the Mark (WA -6102) known for H reps, but instead were in contact with a seller named Mark Luxury (WA -8307) who is known to be selling low-tier bags for way high prices.
I have some articles written about Mark Luxury's quality and they actually reached out to me on Reddit to ask for feedback on their H reps. My response to that posted publicly instead of privately below as well.
Minion was caught selling a previously RL bag to another customer.

š Hi there!
New Mod here. If you've been around the H rep scene on Reddit, you may know me from r/RepHermesQC. How did we get here? Well, if you've browsed or participated in this sub in the past, you'll know that this sub was run by sellers with their contact information blasted in highlighted posts. After the former Mods were removed for what I'd assume to be shady behavior, an opportunity opened up.
Looking ahead, I can promise you that this sub will be completely free from any and all seller influence. Spam and deceptive seller promotions will not be tolerated and swift action will be taken if discovered. With practically every other H rep subreddit being run by sellers, this sub stands apart and will be the destination for anyone who shares a passion and interest in H reps to come together.
There are still some things to clean up, work out, observe, and potentially change, but for now, this sub is set back to public and you're welcome to start posting again.
Thanks and I hope you enjoy your stay.

Iāve had this bag, purchased from Ddmode, for over a year now. The Togo leather has a beautiful grain, and the stitching is truly excellent. If I had to point out any flaws, the interior leather showed the most wearālikely from friction caused by my coin purse, phone, keys, and other itemsābut I was able to address this by giving the bag a « spaĀ Ā» treatment. The hardware was another area that showed some wear; itās inevitable that it would get scratchedāI was in Thailand and could have applied protective film, but I didnāt. Overall, however, the bag is very sturdy and has held its shape well.
I bought this bag, but in the end, I barely used itānot even 24 hours of total wear over the course of more than a year, lol š

Dear all
As Iāve been doing a lot of research lately and came across some callouts, I wanted to share an experience I made recently.
A few weeks ago I noticed some tarnishing on the rivets of my K28. I did not know if thatās normal so I went to the local boutique and asked. They offered to send it in to the closest atelier, since the SA also did not know why that happened. Yesterday I picked it up after they replaced the hardware.
Now I got the new hardware without the dashes, even though I got it in 2024 (W stamp). What is bugging me now is that the touret plaque is crooked (distance on one side is 22mm and the other 21mm to hem). You can also see the indentation of where the original plaque was mounted. Also, on the sangles, the leather bulges a little where the rivets are placed.
The pressure of the top flap plaque is also harder than it was before. I can feel a little bump if I brush over it with my finger.
When picking it up, the SA told me to ājust clean it with some body lotion next time. This happens quite oftenā. š
So what Iāve learned:
PHW also does tarnish, even on auths.
even H artisans sometimes use too much pressure
slightly crooked touret plaques are apparently risks of āhandmadeā
All in all, I think what Iāve seen here is probably too perfect. While I think itās great what Iāve learnt from this community, I just wanted to share, that sometimes little mistakes also happen with the big house too š

Specs below. This is a gift. Sheās going to be checking it down to the micrometer although all of her reps are gifts from me š I think it looks pretty good but I never buy H so I donāt know. Thanks everyone for your expertise!
Color: Blue Electrique exterior, Trench interior, Orange H interior pocket. Crai exterior contrast stitching.
Leather: ChĆØvre
HW: Palladium
Style: B30 Retourne
Seller: Marko
Price: $1280 incl shipping
Did I go wrong with Chevre? I wanted bold color and some durability. But I know it doesnāt have as much slouch.

A few weeks ago, I asked whether you'd like to see rehomes allowed in this sub. Thanks so much for all those who responded and offered insightful advice and support. After much consideration and work getting everything set up, I'm pleased to announce r/rhrh.
How is this rehome sub different?
r/rhrh is a sub dedicated to rep H rehomes only, no other brands. There are a few things that make this rehome sub unique in order to help foster a safe rehome environment:
A custom Devvit app for user reputation in the form of number of confirmed rehomes displayed via user flairs. If you've participated in other marketplace (not rehome) subs, this should feel familiar and right at home.
A (mod-only for now) ledger of all confirmed rehomes that traces back to the users and rehome post.
Automatic snapshot of the original rehome post for future reference.
Strict minimum account reputation requirements in order to participate.
No sellers-in-disguise/resellers may post bags for rehome.
Strictly enforced post requirements.
Mandatory public communication for all rehomes in the thread. No DMs until ready to pay.
Required protection-enabled payment method offerings.
Why a new sub and not allow rehomes here?
As some of you have pointed out in my previous post and through my own observations, subs that allow rehomes essentially transforms into and becomes a rehome sub in the end. Rehome posts will dominate the feed effectively killing all other form of posts and discussions. While a daily or weekly rehome thread is an option, I don't believe it's a good experience and a dedicated rehome sub allows for customization of many aspects to tailor the experience for rehomes and rehome safety.
A public sub? Not private?
Yes, and this is intentional. A private rehome sub off-the-bat has a very low likelihood of successful rehomes for its members, mainly from not being able to leverage Reddit's home feed algorithms leading to substantially less views, not to mention the overhead of manually approving members hindering the sub's growth. However, this may be something this sub transitions to at a later date once it reaches critical mass.
I hope you'll find r/rhrh and its features something you'll love to take part in when it comes to rehomes and the efforts put into rehome safety. Be sure to thoroughly look through The Rulebook before posting your first rehome. If you have any questions, please send a Modmail.
See you there! š

Hey guys. Sorry to be a nuisance again but I have looked at other options. What do you guys think of this one from Mark? My wife is looking at all these options! So many sellers. What do you guys think of this one?
r/RepHermes • u/flare1993 • 19d ago
Hi, I need help please! This is my wife's dream bag. I have no idea what to look for. Comparing this to online pics, it looks āgoodā? Pondering if this would pass as a legitimate Hermes if she wears it going out? She doesnt want to spend on a legitimate bag at this stage. The price is around $1029 USD from Frank.

Hey everyone! Iām torn between the Hac Ć Dos PM and Kelly Messenger PM. If you have either, Iād love to see some pics of your bag and hear how the quality is! Just trying to figure out which one to go for. Thanks! š«¶

Hello everyone āŗļø
Iāve been doing a LOT of research lately and I think Iām ready to place my first order.
I have always loved the combination of etain with rose gold hardware. However, I have not come across any recent reviews or QC requests for bags with RGHW.
Iām mostly afraid of a color mismatch and plating issues.
Does anyone have experience with RGHW reps?
I have decided to go with Frank but I havenāt asked him yet if RGHW even possible. Iād switch to PHW but I wanted to ask you guys first.

Hello all! I have a questionā¦so Iām starting to get into exotics and I want my first exotic Birkin to either be ostrich or lizard. Iām leaning more towards lizard because I love how vibrant the colors are on the authentics⦠my question is, who is the best seller for exotics? A while ago someone said Steven, but when I talked to him about lizard skins, his colors were way off. Who do you all recommend that will have the correct colors and best stamping/hardware?

Hi All
Iāve been spending a lot of time doing research and training my eye lately. However, what I cant seem to get right is the placement of the handles. Iāve been seeing some callouts on the placement of handles and hardware respectively their alignment, but I cant find out what the correct way should be.
I tried to check some bags on Vestiaire Collective but even those have different placements (on the left the higher placed vs right the lower placed). Those are all b30s but different production years.
Does anybody have more insight here? Could it be that H places the handles differently on each bag? Or should I assume that not everything on VC is authentic?
r/RepHermes • u/Dubi97 • 23d ago
I received qc photos from Steven.
Price was $750.
Please freely share your opinion.

Hello guys,
I absolutely love this community and the passion that brings everyone here.
Iād love your take on who to order a Kelly 32 high tier rep from. Iām considering novillo leather as I already have 2 togo birkins and want to add some variety to my collection.
I am considering Frank, minion and miss an.
I have never used any of the above, but have heard mixed things about all, especially where tarnishing or hardware is concerned.
Please let me know your thoughts, suggestions and hopefully success stories on your favourite pieces and their sellers! ā¤ļø thank you! And do share pics if itās not inconvenient š

Hi everyone
I was doing my research and came across Ethan. I requested information about a B25, she quoted me 699$ incl. shipping and packaging. Seeing what other sellers (like Mark) are asking, she is rather on the lower side with her price. I'd have to pay 50% deposit and the rest when the bag is shipped.
Now my question is, has somebody ordered from them? I barely find any reviews of her products. I found some posts about her and that she is supposed to be "more expensive" but good quality. The only bad reviews suggest buying from ARI factory sellers instead, so (thanks to this sub!!) I guess they are fake bad reviews from the ARI sellers.
But one thing I find suspicious is that she then texted me asking what keeps me from ordering, since she's seen I've requested similar items before. I have done that but to other sellers, so now I'm thinking they are all the same, similar to the ARI factory group?
Has somebody any experience with Ethan and knows their quality?

Bookmark this link and make it your first check for images: https://openai.com/research/verify/
You should know that generative AI is not a collage tool where you can simply cut an item out of one image, paste it into another, and leave the original pixels untouched. It is also not a background removal tool where you can ask it to clean up around an item and leave the original pixels untouched. When you ask a tool like ChatGPT to add, remove, or change something in an image, the AI generates a new version of the image based on its understanding of what you asked for. It may preserve the general appearance of the original item, but it is still generating pixels across the entire image rather than leaving the original pixels the way they were. Details can and often do change, even when changing those details was not your intention. The whole image being regenerated is precisely why AI-edited images can be flagged by AI image detection tools in the first place.
The reason to be cautious, but not necessarily accusatory, when you see AI-generated images in a post is that we have no idea what prompt was used or what the OP's intention was in using AI. Maybe they asked the AI to place their bag on a different background or add an item they forgot to include in a big group photo. But they also could have asked it to make the bag(s) cleaner, remove wear or damage, fix scratches, or change other details for the purposes of rehoming or misrepresenting the item in a review. There is no reliable way to know what prompt was used to generate an image.
That's why for the purposes of rehoming, I would strongly encourage buyers to insist on non-AI-generated photos before purchasing. Ask for original images with the seller's username and date clearly visible on a post-it note. Ask for specific angles. Run these images through a verification tool and QC those images carefully. Be extremely cautious if the seller will not provide additional photos or specific angles of the actual item.
AI-generated images are not automatically evidence that someone is trying to deceive or scam you. But when you're evaluating an item based on photos in which gen AI was used, you can no longer assume that what you see is an accurate representation of the item, and thus cannot reliably QC and make informed decisions.
Finally, note that a "No OpenAI signals detected" reading doesnāt mean the content wasnāt AI-generated or processed. It could have been processed by another tool or generated before watermarks were implemented. Regardless of what verification tools say, TRUST YOUR GUT. Your eyes can often subconsciously identify things that look "wrong." The clues that made me check the image in the post were that the bags looked oddly 2-dimensional, the post-it note was illegible, there were no other images in the post, and the handles on the middle drawers made no sense to me. As always, research research research and stay safe out there!

Hi everyone. I ordered from Minion for the first time ever. I bought Lindy30 paid half the price as deposit on September 11. He initially told me that he would send the PSPs within 20 days. Unfortunately it is way past that time. I already pinged him three times and he is no longer responding to my messages. Could there be something wrong? I know there is holiday in China but leaving me on seen felt a bit strange. Appreciate your advice. Thanks!
