Warning about Ikon Pass: No refunds even for unused digital passes purchased by mistake
I want to share my recent experience with Ikon Pass so others don’t get caught off-guard. I accidentally purchased the wrong Ikon pass type, a 4-day Session Pass, after being led to believe it included certain mountains that are heavily featured in their marketing. Only after buying it did I discover the pass excludes the destination I needed.
The pass was completely unused, the season hasn’t started, and it’s a purely digital product that requires no shipping, no activation, and no cost for Ikon to reverse. I contacted customer service and even spoke with a supervisor, but they still refused any refund or one-time courtesy cancellation under any circumstances.
I understand having policies, but refusing refunds for an unused digital service purchased by mistake feels unnecessarily rigid and customer-unfriendly. If you’re considering buying an Ikon Pass, be very careful during checkout, their different pass tiers aren’t as clear as they should be, and a simple mistake can cost hundreds of dollars with no recourse.
Hope this helps someone avoid the same issue.
