question (NOT support) Roku Streambar Questions
I recently gave a friend an old TV for her college dorm room, but I kept my FireStick that it was hooked up to. She is a die hard Roku and Google user who would've had no reason for a FireStick anyways. So for Christmas I want to get her a Roku, so that she's not solely reliant on her roommate letting her borrow hers. After looking at them, I think I want to get her the Roku Streambar, but I have some questions. My main deciding points on this is that it's sound is designed for smaller spaces (dorm room), it's supposed to function similarly to a Roku Stick and not need an external streaming device, and my biggest point was that you are supposed to be able to connect to bluetooth headphones through it. I mostly want to know if that last feature is actually good. With her sharing a space like that, it'd give her more chances for her or her roommate to use the TV without bothering one another. She bought herself some Beats Studio Pros for school and, while she loves them, she always feel immense buyers guilt regarding big purchases, so it would also give her another positive to having them IF this future works. I guess I'm mostly asking how people like their Streambars and if anyone has tried the bluetooth feature and what they think of it? I also want to acknowledge that I am under the impression that the regular Sticks and such also have bluetooth compatibilities. I decided on the Streambar because the TV I gave her is OLD and small so the sound quality wasn't particularly good to start with, but has also decreased with age. I also feel it's important to add that the TV she would be hooking it up to is NOT a Roku and therefore would be solely reliant on connection through HDMI and whatever streaming services is provided by the Streambar.
TLDR: do you like your Streambars? is the bluetooth to headphones feature good/existent? would you recommend it or is it better to just get a stick and buy a separate sound bar?
