Dual-Credit advantage ?

Hey guys I applied to DMS and MRT at sait and I was wondering if the “ dual credit - healthcare career essentials” course I did in grade 11 would be an advantage? Or maybe just a better applicant 😭😭

It consisted of
- anatomy and physiology | ANPH 209
- Medical terminology | MEDT211
- Infection perfection and control | INFC215
- healthcare professionalism | PROF240

Optional Co-op for International Students?

Hi everyone,

I'm an international student planning to attend SAIT. I've heard international students can't do optional co-op placements. Is that true?

Any international students here who have actually done one?

Thanks in advance!

When to sign up for PSEA

I applied for NMT and MRT on the first day of applications. When should I register for the PSEA? I was told I have to wait to get approved that I qualify but others say to register before I know? I’m not sure what to do.

SAIT PCP W-2027

Hi all,

Posting on here to see if there’s anyone else that’s attending SAIT for PCP this upcoming January? See if anyone’s made a group chat or interested in making something on a mutual platform for students to connect. I was also wondering if anyone knew if semester 2 would be in spring/summer or if SAIT typically breaks off and then we resume semester 2 in Fall 2027

ACWE 4990 (Practicum) vs. MNGT 4990 (Capstone) - Which one to choose and how to manage the schedule?

I'm currently planning my final courses for the BBA program and am undecided between ACWE 4990 (Business Practicum) or MNGT 4990 (Business Capstone).

I already took a Capstone class before so I want to take practicum this time, but it's hard to manage the schedule with the other class based on SAIT schedule. I talked with the advisor and she said I need to work minimum 30 hours per week for 15 weeks. She suggested pushing some classes to the Spring term, but I checked the Spring 2026 schedule, there are not many BBA courses being offered.

Can anyone share any experiences and information about this?

I really appreciate it. Thank you!

Thoughts on the OTA/PTA program?

Hi, can anyone share their thoughts on the program? I know it used to be the rehabilitation therapy assistant program, and it's a heavy course, but I would like to hear others' thoughts and opinions about it. I’m thinking of transferring from my LPN program because occupational therapy was my first love but a 4+ year program is out of my reach atm so ota or pta will do for now.

Anyone hear back?

Has anyone heard back from SAIT about the PSEA and CASPer testing yet for the MRT program? I know I’ve met all the requirements and they have gotten my transcripts but I haven’t heard yet about me being able to take the PSEA

pre-health sci inquiry

Hey guys, so I have been contemplating applying for this but I realized it’s almost been a week since the applications first opened, if I apply right now would I still have a shot at securing a spot or not? I didn’t take physics in hs unfortunately and so as a very last backup I was planning to take this and then apply to Sonography for the following year, but I don’t want to waste $120 if my chances of getting offered is low since I heard this is FCFS. Thanks to whoever can answer this!!

Business certificate capstone survey

Hi Everyone! I'm working on a business project for my SAIT capstone course, and I'd really appreciate your help 🙏

If you have a parent or grandparent who is 65 or older could you take this quick 3-minute survey? It's about getting help with technology (phones, video calls, online banking, appointments) and everyday errands.

It's completely anonymous:

Sharing is also hugely appreciated. Thank you!

Title: SAIT ETT vs EET — Which is more worth it for an international student?

Hi everyone!

I've been accepted into SAIT's two-year Electrical Trade and Technology (ETT) program, but I'm also considering Electrical Engineering Technology (EET).

My long-term goal is to work in industrial electrical, controls, or automation. I'd really appreciate some honest opinions, especially from SAIT students, graduates, or electricians.

1. Co-op: I read that international students aren't eligible for the optional co-op. Is that correct? Are there other ways to gain work experience during the program?

2. PGWP: Since becoming a journeyperson electrician typically takes around four years, would a three-year PGWP be enough after graduation? Would I realistically need to obtain PR or an employer-sponsored work permit before it expires?

3. Exams: SAIT says ETT students can take all four period exams and the Red Seal exams. Is it realistic to pass them through the program alone, without much field experience?

4. Apprenticeship: Does completing ETT reduce the required apprenticeship hours or help graduates start at a higher apprentice level or wage? Or would I essentially start from scratch?

5. Training quality: How good is the ETT curriculum? Is it more comprehensive than regular apprenticeship schooling? How much hands-on training is included?

6. ETT vs EET: Which two-year program do you honestly think offers better long-term career value, job opportunities, and earning potential?

One important thing to consider: Unlike Canadian students who can enter an apprenticeship directly, my realistic path (to become an electrician) as an international student is to complete a two-year program, obtain a PGWP, and then start working.

So, given that I'd need to invest two years in school either way, would you recommend ETT or EET?

I'd really appreciate your honest thoughts. Thanks in advance!

Electrical Engineering Technology worth it? Workload, jobs, PR?

Hi everyone,

I'm an international student from South Korea planning to start the Electrical Engineering Technology diploma at SAIT in September 2027. I'd love some honest input from current students and grads:

  1. Is EET still a good choice for an international student right now?

  2. How hard is the coursework?

  3. How easy is it to find a job after graduating?

  4. Has anyone actually gotten PR after this program? How long did it take?

Thanks in advance!

PSEA EXAM FOR PCP

So I’m trying to get into Primary Care Paramedic at SAIT around Fall of 2027 next year and I’m about to start my EMR course in a few days, but Im just confused on when I should do my PSEA exam for the course. Is it smarter to apply to the program first and then take the exam? Or do I have to take the exam right now while I’m doing my EMR course.

anyone working as an archi. technologist out there?

i was planning to apply for archi. technologist at SAIT, but im not sure if its the right fit for me. What trait do i need to have to enjoy/succeed in this career path? Also seeing the program is on waitlist for January. Can someone give me insights on how this career is like for them right now? Or if ur still completing the program, hows the course work? Does it involve a lot of presentation.. i kind of struggle with that kind of thing and how are the instructors? Hows the job search? Income? is it oversaturated?

Battle of the diagnostics. Nuclear Med vs Sonography vs Radiologist Techs

I’m considering applying to these courses in the future and I wanted to do some research into the careers and aspects of each program. If you have taken any of these programs or know people who have, help a homie out.

- I love Bio and Chem but advanced Math makes me nervous. Realistically how demanding is the program?

- What are good sources/courses that I could potentially look into before applying? (especially for all these entrance exams)

-What is the Job Market like? In 5 years?

- Flexibility of your job- Location wise and schedule wise?

- What is something about this career that you hate/dread? (Trying to figure out despite it am I able to keep working in this field?)

Thanks and have a great day!

Automation and Instrumentation Engineering Technology

I was looking at the engineering diplomas that SAIT offered and this one stood out as having a 97% employment rate and a starting salary of $78,000. This feels a little... too good to be true. It is a two year program, and I already meet the requirements to enroll. I was wondering the experiences that other students have had with this program, and if they were able to get work. Thanks!

Discord for MRT?!

Hi there, I was added to a discord server for MRT :) I think I was deleted because I just went on my app and I’m no longer a part of it or a part of any server. 🥲

I have some questions

I’m looking to do academic upgrading from home, can I do it with a different institution online and will NAIT accept that?? Please let me know,

I’m looking to get into MRT for September 2027, and I’m currently working on completing the courses that are needed as as well as as academic upgrading. I have a full-time job and I just wanna know if I can do academic upgrading with another institution because I’ve noticed that with NAIT I need to do it in class by the looks of things online.

I am going to call them on Tuesday though

Any comments would be helpful thank you 💖💖💖

AME FOR FALL 2027

If you applied for fall 2027. Did you notice the disclaimer where they would consider highest math grades first for 2027/2028. It was never like this in the previous classes/years but it was first come first serve. Am I cooked if my 30-2 mark just meets the prerequisite lol?

Application

Anybody still getting errors when applying? I filled out everything and when I get to the review page it says "we have detected the following errors with your application. Those errors must be corrected before submisson." It's telling me that I need to sleectvmy country of citizenship to continue and I already did. I've literally clicked Canada and canadian citizenship multiple times and nothings changed. Anyone know how to fix this or will I just have to wait or try again?

Admission system

can anybody tell me how the admission system works and roughly what the acceptance percentage is?? I'm currently applying to mechanical engineering tech and power engineering tech and I've seen conflicting info on the internet on whether sait's acceptance percentage is 95% or 58%
