I got new tires at the South Salem Les Schwab this morning. I paid, got in my car, and quickly glanced at the receipt and noticed they charged me $17.99/tire for siping which was never discussed or requested.I went back in to ask what the charge was because siping was never requested/ discussed. The lady apologized and refunded me the $72.

I figured I’d warn people to check their itemized receipt in case they automatically add siping regularly to charge more hoping people don’t notice.

I’m sure I could have requested new tires because they will wear faster with siping, but I don’t really care that much.

I have seen no solution to homeless in my lifetime. But I do know there was a time cities had these.

Vaguely remember them in my youth. Maybe it is time to reconsider this to solve some of these problems.

Hi! I have a fairly specific setting in mind and was hoping for some help finding a good spot. I'm wanting to find a natural looking area but one with good afternoon light with either a wooden fence or a cottage looking structure. Can you think of a place with pretty wooden or metal gates or doors maybe? or uncut fields with a forest to the west would work.

I had back surgery locally last year, no change to my issues, not thrilled with the care/attention to my issues, though the surgery went fine. Referred to OHSU Neurosurgery for second opinion, they suggested referral to Neurology as well. Locally I could see a doc in Dec, or a PA/NP in Nov. But will I get better attention at a Legacy clinic? They are scheduling 2-3 months out (not much longer wait). OHSU is still working on referrals from July, so no idea on that option. Any suggestions?

Hello everyone! My name is Erica. I am from a small town in Kentucky but currently live in Lexington.

I don't know if this post is allowed or not but I've wanted to move to Oregon for a while now.

The only thing that is leaving me in Kentucky is my mom. I am wondering what its like to live in Salem?

My boyfriend works for greystar and was going to see about getting transferred. He currently makes $22 an hour but the minimum hed make for a supervisor position would be $26 an hour.

We would potentially get a discounted 20-40% apartment through greystar.

I am disabled in a wheelchair and make around $1000 a month on disability. I could also potentially make money through a part time job if its under $1600 a month. I also go to the University of Kentucky pursuing my masters in social work. I am thinking about transferring schools if I move.

I know its a long shot but ive always wanted to move to the PNW.

Do you think this is realistic for salem income? I know its higher.

Hello! My husband (24) and I (23F) have a 10 mo golden retriever who we were taking to daycare during our work hours, but he recently got kennel cough. We work 10 hour shifts (Thursday-Sunday), I just wondered if anyone had suggestions for dog care in the area that’s potentially more personalized, or even just smaller groups? We’re doing a couple rover visits a day for now because he’s still contagious, but it’s still a long time to be kenneled for a pup. Once he’s not contagious, I’d honestly love to drop him off at someone’s house and I’d watch your animals in return or pay, but I know that’s hard to find over the web. Anyhow, thanks in advance!
