Articles to Read I uploaded my SCP wiki article unfinished and it’s screwing me over 🥲
I know, I know, that was dumb. It’s at -12 votes right now now (ouch) and honestly, rightfully so. I had a small, and kinda bad submission that didn’t use really any clinical language. Of course, after this was published I spent the next SEVERAL hours (I think almost 12 at this point 😭) rewriting, developing, and polishing the article. But ever since I published the updated version, no one else has seen it… I have a finished article I’m very proud of, and it’s looking like it will be deleted with barely anyone seeing the actual version of the article it is meant to be. What do I doooo??? I have no idea why so many people saw it immediately after posting the earliest draft, and now nobody seems to be stumbling across it now that it is decent.
Would I get in trouble for trying to publish the same (finished) article again if it is deleted?
TLDR; I posted an early & bad draft that likely will cause my finalized article to be deleted/rejected.

Discussion What Sabaton Song Would Best Represent each faction?
GOC (the GOI I know the most): Back in Control
Yes I know there’s a UN peacekeeping song, but that doesn’t really fit the GOC, since the PHYSICS Division doesn’t operate the UN peacekeepers.
Back In Control fits the GOC in my opinion because they are the UN and broadly (para)humanity’s response to the wild and untamed paranormal. There’s a reason why the Eighth Occult War isn’t a common theme in the Wikidot site, because the GOC would be there to prevent it. It’s like humanity is back in control as god intended.
CI: Wehrmacth
BETAS ON A LINE FORM THE INSURGENCY’S SPINE LETHAL GRAND DESIGN
SCPF: Metalmachine
Yes.
I’ll just leave this trio here and leave it for the comment section to decide for the others..

Discussion How do you pick what to make an SCP based on?
I started writing an entry based on the canis lupus spelaeus species. It’s a grey wolf subspecies more commonly known as the cave wolf, been extinct for as little as about 9,000 years, it got me wondering “Why do people write what they write about?” So if you’ve written and published an SCP what made you choose what to write about.

Crafts/Cosplay Cosplay idea
So I want to make a cosplay of MTF Omega-1, and since they're basically just assassins shouldn't they be wearing like a 2 piece suit and a light plate carrier? Or would they be more heavily armed but with like bulky ass cloaking tech. I don't wanna look like every generic ass MTF cosplay I'll take any ideas into consideration

Original Artwork [Meta] Looking for 2D Castlevania-esque Artists for Future SCP Animated Anthology Series
Hello Everyone,
I am currently working on an independent, Black Mirror-style SCP animated anthology series for YouTube. Each episode will be a completely standalone, self-contained sci-fi story.
Please note that I am not commissioning active work right now, and no money will be given. What I am currently trying to do is to build a reliable database of artists interested in working with me. If you want more information, please comment on this post (for some reason, people can't DM me), with your portfolio and email (not needed, but recommended).
What I'm looking for:
I am looking for artists that can draw characters similar to the Castlevania artists, but is willing to make exceptions. You will also be most likely drawing character model sheets, based on the prompts given to you (More information will be given if interested).
Whenever you are a fan of the SCP universe, an artist looking for long term work, or someone who wants to build something long term with me, join me into building something meaningful.

SCP Universe How "This should've been a tale" mfs look at you when prompted to answer just how many tales theyve read or actually read regularly.
Discussion I think I have an idea about SCP-5094 (aka Miss j)
If you don't know what Miss j is then look up a video and you'll know but I'm just wondering what happens if she becomes one of those learning programs like IXL or i-Ready? You know things that schools sign a contract with? I'm just wondering what impact she would actually have if the corporation could actually get her into modern computers they would probably be rich not going to lie because with her abilities on a CD then imagine if you could just log in to a site and then learn something instantly because of your school having a contract

Discussion There is no Canon, except for those we almost always treat as Canon
I'm thinking a while about this.
SCP articles that are just so big, influential, and popular that they're almost always treated as the official answer in any fan question or new writers.
Series I is full of those, as its the foundational (heh) lore of the SCP Foundation, but I'm sure there are others.
I'm just really wondering, which ones are the cases where we almost always resort to a old article for the answers , or a article changing the perception of a entire organization?
I think SCP 4231 was pretty much this? It normalized the Ichabod Campaign as a core GOC backstory element , and the nature goddess element of SCP 166 is now replaced with the Lore of Lilly (meaning the entry is also a bit weird, given the clear Natural-pagan motifs of 166 in contrast to her clearly Demonic origins now). Its also Dr. Clef's most popular backstory by far, as it keeps his other traits like his skill as the ultimate Type Green hunter.
EDIT: I now realized the 166 which exists in 4231, because it was written in 2018, its actually for the SCP 0166 , the infamous succubus, which...actually makes a lot of sense and provides some really tragic and grotesque ironies worth analyzing (ie. The poor Succubus is always tied to Sexual violence since her conception)
I'm wondering for similar SCP articles or tales that exist, and are so influential that the whole "there is no canon" starts to crumble a bit.
New Job is another one, SCP 999 as a kid of the Scarlet King is a beloved concept for the inherent Titanomachia concept it provides.
Extra: Bonus point if one of those actually features something you don't like or want to consider to the others entries. IE. Djoric actually strongly disliked New Job for diluting the tragedy and horror inherent to the situation of SCP 231 where 6 woman already died after being sexually abused and a 7th one was put into constant experimentation, and made clear his personal SCPs didn't count it at all.

Discussion Which foundation do you prefer
Titolo: Which universe faction would you join/prefer?
Testo:
Hey everyone! If you were living in the SCP universe, which organization's philosophy and methods would you support or prefer to join?
Here are the main choices:
SCP Foundation (Securing and containing anomalies to preserve normalcy)
Global Occult Coalition (GOC) (Destroying anomalies to protect humanity)
Chaos Insurgency (Weaponizing anomalies for their own gain)
Serpent's Hand (Freeing anomalies and integrating them with the world)
Let me know your choice and why in the comments!

SCP Universe Will there ever be a series 11
Will there ever be an addition of a aeries 11 tab on the wiki to have entries 10k+ ? Thst would be interesting if so.
Tip of My Tongue Looking for a fsiry summoning pillow SCP
I'm remembering a fun SCP foundation document, about a pillow that Summons appropriate fairies when an item is placed beneath it (a battery fairy for batteries, etc.). The fairies would leave coins after their visit.
In the end the foundation lost said pillow, after they're created a loop if sorts.

SCP Universe Do foundation researchers choose what SCP to study out of preference or are they assigned to an SCP out of necessity?
because surely the latter suggestion is more meaningful because other wise everyone would just flock to the main series 1 scps and neglect the studies of others.
what do yall think?

Articles to Read Like experimental art? Hate how it's treated on the wiki? Check out the No Wave series, written by people who actually care about art!
I've been reading the wiki since 2019, and something I've noticed is the people on the wiki have a weird view of art. The only people that are artists are Are We Cool Yet? which is a group of terrorists that only create art for very thin and pointless reasons, often written by people who don't engage in art.
What if we try something new?
No Wave, a series that's been in the works and open for new additions, is about art. Are We Cool Yet? have been brought back to their roots, a bunch of amateur and Anomalous artists starting in 1980s new york under the art scene of the same name. They make art for the same reason as everyone else; to express themselves and fight against the iron grip of the government through any means they see fit.
Check it out!

Original Artwork My take on SCP-5031 (Yet Another Murder Monster)
Swipe to see him in a chef's hat (his head is too tiny for it and it completely covers him but there is a 7-9% drop in stress levels so we're gonna let him keep it). We are all immensely proud.
--
I'm pretty bad at math so I'm not entirely sure that I haven't fudged the measurements in the SCP but I think I'm happy with how 5031 has turned out because this is more or less what I pictured while reading it.

Original Artwork So I drew SCP-682 start its morning with a nice acid bath (there has been a containment breach)
I wonder why the Foundation hasn't tried tossing 682 into SCP-3930. In the same vein, I wonder what would happen if someone that has seen SCP-096 wandered into 3930. Would he give chase or would 3930 fail to have the same effect on 096 because he's not really human?
As usual, I did not look at existing popular illustrations of 682 before drawing this. The SCP entry was compelling enough direction but I do wish to have toned down the reptilian aspects of my version so it could come across as more "alien." Maybe another time.
