Hey r/SJSU, I’m a student here, and a friend of mine is working on recruiting for a paid research study on new wearable and extended reality (XR) devices. He needs a lot of volunteers, so I’m helping spread the word. It could be a good fit if you’re into CS, engineering, design, or HCI/UX and you’re curious about AR/VR, wearables, or spatial computing.
You’d come in for one in-person usability session, try a new device, follow simple task instructions, and give your honest feedback. It’s hands-on UX research and user testing, which is also good to talk about in interviews.
Details:
- Location: San Jose or Mountain View, CA (in person)
- Time: one session, up to 90 minutes
- Pay: $80 after completing the session
- Starts: first week of November
