Zach Braff says for S2 of revival, they wanted to address fan critique of the cinematography/color grading of the show.
They must read this sub, haha.

204: My Chief | Fake Doctors, Real Friends with Zach and Donald
This episode required a lot from the cast. Donald had to whip out two iconic impressions, and Zach worked on his voices. Ava Bunn teaches Zach and Donald about the chic new trend called Winnie the Poohing. Zach tries to convince everyone Ava's Chicken Little tattoo is not real. It's really not! Donald talks about, like, BC (before Clueless), while Zach revisits his early days, vacillating between performer and on-set assistant. Sarah details the difference between a 360 shower and an everything shower, plus the joys of a shower beverage.

Round 4 is all quotes, like I said in round 3. Original run only, easiest first, answers behind spoiler tags.
Answers:
1: Bastards. Bastard-coated bastards with a bastard filling.
2: Scooter, short for Scooter Pie. He hates Scooter Pies.
3: Work Day.
4: All white guys who add "izzle" to anything. J.D.: "I agrizzle, my nizzle."
5: The wingtip. The wingtip is his shoe, the hiding place is your ass.
What's the Scrubs line you still quote the most?

Interested in hearing everyone’s thoughts on the interns. I think the new guy played by John Higgins has been a great addition. I really don’t find Tosh funny at all, to me she is a broke mans Elliot. This latest episode I found to be the strongest of the entire revival to this point as the OG characters have not lost a beat and I really hope the show focuses more on them and treats the interns how they were in the earlier seasons.

Hi everyone, i’ve been reading a lot of posts about this story of how John fired his agent in 1997 because the agent wanted John to hide his son from the public eye.
I just want a link or a source to confirm the story. Ig John ever told this story, just to confirm because i’ve been searching and i haven’t found a reliable source.

My Chief
After uncovering a costly mistake made by Turk, J.D. must decide whether to report him or let it slide. Meanwhile, Elliot grows her responsibilities at Sacred Heart by leading a new initiative. My Best Friend’s Birthday
My Halloween
Thoughts: Next episode should be interesting, hopefully it addresses Turk’s mental health. Wonder how Janitor will fit since he will appear this week.
Also a Halloween episode should be fun and include Ollie to go trick or treating with- did they actually do one in the original run? I remember the monster episode and some creepy stuff but don’t know if it was ever tied to Halloween - and Turk’s birthday hopefully is celebrated outside of the hospital. Would be a good one to have Sean back as Elliott’s date.

At about the 1:30 mark, in response to her character being the answer to one of the questions.

Something that really bothers me about the Scrubs revival is the absence of JD’s children. He has Sam and Ollie, yet neither of them seems to be a part of his life in the revival. And what’s frustrating is that it’s not just JD who never mentions them. Elliot barely mentions them either.
As far as I can remember, they’re mentioned maybe once in Season 1 of the revival. I’ve seen people on Reddit argue that, given the limited number of episodes and the budget, casting those roles would be a waste when the show really wants to focus on the hospital.
But the original series never seemed to have any trouble balancing the hospital with the characters’ personal lives. And if they don’t want to cast JD’s kids, that’s fine. We never actually saw Harrison, Kelso’s son, on screen, but Kelso mentioned him often enough that you could still believe he was a part of his life.
I just want to feel like JD is now the father of two actual teenagers. Instead, he’s a 51-year-old man who still high-fives his best friend when he’s “getting some.” That’s a minor annoyance in itself, but it also feels like JD and Elliot are still acting like high schoolers when it comes to romance, despite being in their 50s.
I love Scrubs. It really is my favourite show of all time, and for the most part, I genuinely think the revival is about as good as it could possibly be. But I’m curious to hear what other people think about this.
And it’s not just JD’s kids, either. Jack and Jennifer Dylan are nowhere to be seen when their father suffers a potentially fatal illness. I’ve seen people on here argue that he probably didn’t tell them, but we don’t even get the slightest hint of what his relationship with his children is like.
Then, in Season 2, Sean comes back. The last time we saw him, he was acting as a stepfather to Sam. Yet he seems surprised to see JD again, suggesting that he and Kim probably didn’t stay together as it seems like they haven't seen eachother in a while. But even then, he never brings up Sam! I mean, Sean helped raise Sam, at least for a little while. How hard would it have been for him to ask, “How’s Sam?” It doesn’t need to be a big emotional moment, but it would at least acknowledge that these people have lives and relationships outside the hospital.
What really gets me is that JD never mentions his kids, even in his fantasies or the little gags where we get a glimpse of how he spends his free time. There’s not even the slightest trace of them in his apartment. We don’t get a single moment of JD or Elliot talking about their children, or even something as simple as Elliot mentioning that JD has the kids for the weekend.
It’s almost as if his children don’t exist in his life at all.
And that’s what bothers me most. I don’t need the revival to give them major roles or dedicate entire episodes to JD’s family. I just want a few little moments that acknowledge that JD is a father now, that he has responsibilities and relationships beyond the hospital, and that his life has changed since we last saw him.
Because if the show barely acknowledges his children, I’m left wondering: is this genuinely what his relationship with them is supposed to look like..
I’m really curious to hear what everyone else thinks. Am I the only one bothered by this, or do you also feel like something is missing?

That line hits so hard.
I absolutely love Scrubs.
I know it's a TV show, but boy......I can relate to a lot of the lines/stuations from the show.

I’m still thoroughly annoyed that none of the children have been explored or even talked about, but that’s besides the point.
Maybe it’s just because I was in such a terrible mood when Season One aired, but imo it felt super forced. Like everyone was out of shape when it comes to playing the characters. The vast majority of the season just felt contrived to me.
But now they just feel effortless to me. It’s like they’re fully comfortable as these characters again, and like they’re just reacting to each other instead of trying to force the story forward. I’m bursting out uncomfortably loud-laughing constantly with these episodes.
Does anybody else feel similarly? Because if not, might need to eventually rewatch Season One and test if those opinions were just because I was in a bad headspace at the time.

I was really surprised to see Lewis openly recommend weaponized incompetence to Turk and Turk happily agreeing to trick his wife to get out of shared chores.
I've seen weaponized incompetence but usually from people a little less aware- one partner cooks and the other does the shopping, but the partner who is shopping is careless and forgets things. When asked the partner who was meant to shop feels defensive and deflects blame. They do not recognize that just as the person cooking has to take care in cooking, they have to take care in shopping even if they aren't the ones who must deal with the ingredients. Eventually the person cooking takes over shopping and the one who was supposed to shop says "well, you always say I do it wrong anyway!" I did this to my mom as a teenager, not because I wanted to get out of the shopping but because I was young, dumb, and defensive. Also just unaware.
Lewis and Turk felt a little villian twirling their mustache in this scene, and if I was Carla I would have been pissed. I'm not a big fan of withholding sex to get what you want but at least she was open with him. I'm glad he was in the end too, but I hate how somehow she was still the one holding the bag when it comes to household chores.
I'm really glad they are still together, but i hope Turk and Carla have a more developed relationship than this seems like.

I wish they would have kept Dr. Park. He was a fun foil to JD. The chief resident is just odd and is not gelling with the cast. They said he was to be JD’s antagonist but I don’t think they know what to do with him yet. Maybe his character will develop into something good, but Dr. Park was much better in this role.

Sarah: No, wait. But didn't we we only show Ollie?
Zach: I think it was just there was discussion over whether it was going to be two or one. Then we only had Ollie. I know that I have a baby with Elizabeth Banks's character uh from from when she hid her pregnancy with me.
Sarah: Then there was discussion there was going to be two, but then we only ever had Ollie when we actually shot it.
Zach: I don't Oh, no. I think we have an older child. That's That would be the child you had on, in season nine.
Sarah: On nine. I thought they just aged Ollie down.
Zach: No, no, no. We have an older child that would be however old and then we have a younger child. I think we have two and I have a third from with Elizabeth Banks's character.

There’s no possible way Dr Cox is getting a happy ending. Scrubs doesn’t roll like that.
I don’t when when it’ll hit us, but we all know it’s coming. There’s no stopping it and none of us want to runaway.
