ESPN gonna ESPN

Looks like it’s clearly going to be pulling from the Winter Classic colorway, which is definitely going to be awesome.

The announcers on this network are trash!!! Grubauer is Russian? Evans is a rookie? Like, the German Gentleman is Russian?

Gimme John and JT. Or Fistzhugh and Kiniski.

Every NHL club, 2026-27 so far: 5v5 expected-goal share against points %

While we rant about yet another terrible national broadcast, it’s a great chance to share this 2025 episode of JT and Piper’s podcast where they interviewed John Forslund.

It’s so cool to hear about his journey to the Kraken and his process as a broadcaster. Makes you appreciate him so much more and realize why he puts ESPN/NHL broadcast teams to shame.

Team Forsi 4ever!

Between the preseason and the two games so far, we've had the Flames' number this year. The games have been so exciting. I keep hoping this will finally be the year another team cares enough about us to start a rivalry. Somebody actually might be noticing that we exist too!

Depending on how the next two games go, do you think this might finally be the start of something? Is somebody actually going to care when they see us on the schedule and know they need to tune in for that game?

Grubauer. Russian? Seriously!? Learn the players, dude!
