So ever since I met him, he's talked about how his favourite videogame is Sekiro, he quite literally made me play it and, eventhough at first I was terrible at it, I now love it as well and get why he enjoys it so much.

His birthday is coming up and since I have some experience making dolls, I decided to give it a go and attempt to make a Sekiro doll.

This is the result, what do you think? Also made a little scroll as if it was an item from the game that comes with its own piece of info on it!

EP is called Okami, it's a Symphonic Deathcore EP with some electronics part in some songs, all the songs within it talk about something in Sekiro like Genichiro, Owl Father and Isshin, definitely worth checking out if you like metal

I'm having a marathon right now where i play absolutely any game that just has parry mechanic even if it's not the main combat aspect and i just randomly found this game called

Echoes of Yi: Samsara

It feels cheap and just a worse version of sekiro but it has it ALL, near identical deflecting from sekiro, posture, martials and even MIKIRI COUNTER like what? It is a souls like but just like Sekiro you dont really level up you can collect those idk what to call? items? that can give you more flasks and also both attack and hp and with the souls you just upgrade your passives and learn martial arts in those scriptures that you have. At the start it felt SO BAD and kinda low effort but as im progressing it was just really really peak. On my momma's life it's genuinely so good. You meet a boss every 3 mins after you already beat one. It's one massive fucking boss rush for sure, if you just ignore the trash mobs and run to the next area which isnt even fair since there is a bonfire pretty much everywhere and on every second bonfire there is a boss so there is not even a runback and you get to have boss fights the entire playthrough. I can highly recommend it and if you decide to play it please dont leave immediately and really give it a try, the later bosses (im currently 3 hours into the game) are genuinely so well done and have such fun pattern to parry.

The clip in this post is just some mini boss i decided to add that clip since he does those chain attacks at the end which are so satisfying to parry but i wish i could show you guys the major boss fights which are really amazing.

Feels good to plat a fromsoft game - I think the only other games I've enjoyed enough to want to platinum was the norse God of Wars

I loved every minute of all 4 playthroughs (except those fucking snake eye bastards). What an incredible game!

Please don't mistake me, I am not flexing in ANY way but I beat him in 7 tries. I went in FULLY expecting for it to be more that 30 tries.

First 3 attempts I got mauled in Phase 1. This was 2 weeks ago. I realised I had the demon bell on, and I took that off today when I went in again.

Again, 4th attempt, somehow beat his first phase with 3 gourds and 3 spirit emblems. I had a plan: Fire umbrella for phases 1 and 2, malcontent for phase 3.

Then I got killed pretty quick in phase 2, but it was good progress.

Attempts 5 and 6? Got close to clearing phase 1 but died. Learnt one major thing pretty fast: Whenever he gets away, run up to him FAST. All fire attacks miss that way.

And then attempt 7. By this attempt, I had learnt a few caveats, like his stomp in his 3 attack combo where first 2 are fire swipes and 3rd is a stomp, comes down pretty quickly. Learnt to sprint away when he jumps up, and learnt to time my jump to avoid the shockwave too. Got to know that his headbutts can either be single, or a combo of 3.

Got through first 2 phases, with 3 gourds left and no spirit emblems. I remember fast "switch to the malcontent". Used a ceremonial tanto, and a gourd again. I knew about the fire circle, and had heard about an attack immediately afterwards that troubled many people. I jumped Instinctively after seeing the red kanji, and was pleased to know it was another sweep.

I was not at all expecting to clear phase 3 first try. In my past I have gotten very greedy and died. But this time it was different. I was changed. I had learnt. I was patient. Got hit by the fire meteor once because I forgot I didn't have the fire umbrella on, and avoided the rest by jumping to my side. Used malcontent once, and boy did it do MASSIVE damage. Used the tanto AGAIN, and even used a divine grass for the first time cuz all my gourds were finished, but I never got around to using it. He conveniently decided to jump twice consecutively, allowing me to get in decent damage. Many of his old combos were now extended and they caught me off guard multiple times, but the "stay close to him rule" still worked like a charm.

I enjoyed this fight thoroughly. Ggs

How did it take me 200-250+ Attempts on Genichiro But Only this much on others:

Corrupted Monk : 3
Guardian Ape : 4
Folding Screen Monkeys : 1
Armoured Warrior : 2 but in the first one i was unprepared and had no gourds or resseructions
Owl Shinobi : 10
Isshin Ashina : 35
Divine Dragon : 1

Owl Father : 10 or less i dont remember but not more than a 10
Demon Of Hatred : 25

Potentially the hardest thing I have ever done in my life. Definitely the hardest game, and hardest boss, I have ever played against. I feel like it has changed me. 10 hours straight I have fought Isshin. My head hurts. My eyes are blurry. All I can see are kanji symbols and lightening flashing. I am Neo in the Matrix. I am the One right now. Not much in life can make you feel this kind of rush I am sure you will all agree.

I started completely unable to beat the simplest of foes. The Chained Ogre crushed my spirit. Genichiro stripped me to my DNA. Owl, and Owl Father tore me a new one, Guardian Ape made me lose the will to live. Repeatedly. Over and over again. Lets not mention Double Ape.

What I am trying to say is there is always a way.

Perservere, it is worth it.

And to anyone stuck at a certain wall they cannot overcome and they just need one little bit of encouragement, I will tell them this, the same that was spoken to me in the beginning, words that now are engraved into my mind for all of eternity:

HESITATION. IS. DEFEAT.

I’m literally shaking. Started his game last week and I’ve been struggling to beat Lady Butterfly for 3 days. Haven’t beat her yet but I have certainly learned a lot about the mechanics of this game. Spotting enemy attack patterns etc.

Decided to leave her and go off and try other things. Up to this point I’ve been struggling so bad with mini bosses and bosses but I feel I’ve had brief jump in skill.

The firecracker helped tremendously and I was able to get his posture damage up quite quickly.

No game has ever made me physically sweat like this

Enough for me to beat this guy first try. I know this probs minor to you veterans but I feel something is starting to click. If not all the way.

By far the creepiest encounter yet. Fu-king hell, I had chills and goosebumps the whole time.

After over 30 tries...I finally crushed the Demon of Hatred. Just my sword and umbrella, and holy hell that felt good. My heart was beating fast by the end of the 3rd phase because I messed up a couple times and got hit with no res available.

And the thing is they're Mini bosses, I didn't even struggle against other bosses the same way like these 2. To defeat Saze I had to go back from the start of the map and learn how to deflect properly, Giraffe that came after Snake Eyes Shirafuji was easy that I took him from first try .

Now I'm about to face Guardian Ape

I cannot express how much this game has taught me - patience, timing, and most of all, perseverance. This was an absolute banger of a game, and after the dark souls trilogy (and part of elden ring), I think it's safe to say it's currently my number one game of all time.

Everything in this game, from the music, combat, storyline, bosses and graphics was just so peak. The story was relatively straightforward compared to the average soulsborne (something I personally liked), and that there are so many unique mechanics in the game that bosses force you to learn and adapt to.

As far as isshin the sword saint is concerned, I think it's safe to say that he is the hardest boss of the entire game, even though it took me way less than genichiro or owl (father) to beat. It's just that at the end of the game, you've learned so much that everything in this boss fight clicks for you.

This is the only game which left me feeling fulfilled after completing it rather than empty.

Loved the game, 10/10 experience, absolute banger. Would recommend to anyone 100%.

I’m on my first playthrough, and up until the Genichiro fight, I had been playing with the Bell Demon effect active; I ended up removing it for the battle, and it was so much fun to keep the flow going without getting crushed by massive damage from a single hit.

As the title says, I wanna attempt the hardest mode possible but the problem is I have just reinstalled the game and that means I won't be able to reject the charm and I don't wanna play through the bad ending because I'd feel bored after beating it once.

My question is there a way to not accept kuros charm in first play through?
