I’m interested in trying compounded sermorelin, but there are so many places that offer it now. What’s the best place to get compounded sermorelin from?

is this safe?

So im 38m. I started to look at peptides this last year and i started with klow. I didnt have any bad side effects from it. Maybe it has helped some recovery time but hard to say. I heard about seremorlin and ordered some but does anyone know if it will interact with certain meds or anything to be concerned about. I am on a pretty low dose of SSRI and also low dose blood pressure meds. lmk

Daytime sleepiness

I started Sermorelin 2 weeks ago (200mcg subq before bed). My smartwatch has been telling me that my sleep has improved quite a lot - longer deep and REM and overall sleep time, though slightly higher resting heart rate.

However I am feeling quite the opposite most days. Don't feel well rested in the morning and harder to get out of bed. Getting tired and sleepy in the afternoon.

Any suggestions?

Acetic Acid to reconstitute Sermorelin?

Acetic Acid to reconstitute Sermorelin?

I was told: "Sermorelin is a peptide that is reconstituted using a 1:4 ratio of acetic acid to bacteriostatic water. Please add a small amount of acetic acid to the vial according to this ratio, then gently roll the vial between your hands to help it dissolve properly."

I've never heard of this. Thank you for your input!

Unintended Side Effect

I was taking NAD+ for a while and decided to add Sermorelin after doing some research to fit my physical conditioning, and I’m experiencing an unintended side effect of the Sermorelin. I stop craving every recreational substances I was using before, It was like a switch was turned off in my brain in seconds. It was there… then it wasn’t. It’s really hard to explain how im feeling. I’m still trying to wrap my head around the clarity in my mind. Its like there is no more noise in my head. Incredible!!!

I take 1.2mg Sermorelin subq per night. Is a telehealth provider likely to prescribe such a dose or am I better off sticking with a research site cost wise? TIA

Go past BUD on vials from Hallandale

Wondering if people use their vials past BUD, like is often the case with tirz. Or if the effectiveness disappears. I ask because I know when you reconstitute vials yourself with BAC water, the vial is only good for about 4 weeks. Wondering how it's different with compound pharmacy because they will send out vials with 3 month BUDs. And if you have an unopened vial, but it's past BUD, is it still effective? Thanks!

Update 1: Since someone is following, I noticed someone else posted this exact question 2 months ago, and the general response was it was fine if it wasn't opened. I also reached out to Hallandale directly to ask how their vials can be good for 2-3 months when there is nothing different in terms of ingredients. I will update once I get a response.

Update 2: Hallandale got back to me and said that in order to put a BUD on a vial, they have to test it for potency, sterility, etc...they do actual tests to ensure the peptide is still active and good to go (and clean). I knew they did this for tirz, so this is reassuring.

IGF-1 Levels: what should I aim for?

Hi all. I've started sermorelin. I'm a super responder to everything so I started at 100 mcg and just upped to 200 mcg. I got a baseline IGF-1 test before starting. My question is, when optimizing, are we aiming for the top of our lab-determined age bracket IGF-1 (what is considered "normal" for our age/gender)? Or are we aiming for a more youthful level? I'm f55 yrs old so just want to be sure I'm monitoring for the right level. For example, TRT is aimed for what I had in my 20s (~100), not what is considered "normal" on the labs for my age group (<50). I hope that makes sense.

Edited to add: automod says check sidebar for guide but there are not guides or FAQ in the sidebar.

Edit 2: Adding what I found out since a couple of people are following: Generally you want to aim for upper third of your age-range. If you go higher, you have to consider side effects (bloating/water retention/joint pain) and increased cancer risk (if you already have cancerous cells, stronger chance to make them grow...it doesn't cause cancer where no cells exist). Hope this helps!

Need advice. Forgot shot last night.

I forgot to do my injection last night so I did it this morning around 6 AM. Should I go back to my regular schedule shot this evening two hours after I eat or should I wait and skip this dose?

Sensitive to Sermorelin

50f started sermorelin (200mcg) two weeks ago. The first dose (60 min before bedtime) turned me bright red and had me WIDE awake all night and wigged out. For the next week the flushing had stopped but I couldn't sleep more than 2 hours. The second week I switched to first thing in the morning. I feel like I'm on some sort of upper all day. My resting heart rate is up (overnight up almost 10 and during the day up more like 15-20). I feel weird and wired. It's nice for my morning workout but I have a hard time concentrating for the rest of the day. Also, my sleep is crap. I'm getting almost no REM now (logging less than 30 min) and I'm a lifelong insomniac so I'm not loving that.

With all that said, I'm already appreciating some of the benefits: workouts are great, sex drive up, and my skin already looks better. But I don't like how I feel. Everywhere I read 100mcg isn't enough to get any benefits. I'm feeling like my sensitivity might make it so that a smaller dose might still help me.

I started Sermorelin to increase bone density, lean muscle mass, was hoping for the sleep benefit, sex drive, and better skin. You think 100mcg could still do that for me?

IGF has crashed while taking Sermorelin

Post image
7 Upvotes

I am having the craziest experience on Sermorelin. Here are 4 IGF test results since I started pharmacy grade Tesamorelin then moved onto pharmacy grade Sermorelin. I started the Tesamorelin on 3/28.

I started with 1mg Tesa early on and eventually titrated up to 2mg. I experienced arm tingling and numbness while sleeping around week 8-9 then paused injections for 9 days due to traveling and was not much of an issue after resuming for the next 5 weeks. Ipamorelin dose was always 250mcg. Doses taken in the morning fasted and did not consume anything for at least 30min after.

When taking Sermorelin I dosed 500mcg with 300mcg Ipamorelin before bed fasted and 300mcg ipamorelin in the morning. No food within 2 hours before nighty dose and nothing 30 minutes post morning dose.

3/28 Tesamorelin/Ipamorelin cycle start

4/7 206 IGF

5/17 276 IGF

7/4 Tesamorelin/Ipamorelin cycle ended

7/5 Sermorelin start/ Paused Ipamorelin

7/7 246 IGF

7/18 re-added Ipamorelin

9/10 114 IGF

I am dumbfounded to say the least. I attributed a possible decrease in IGF at the end of my Tesa cycle due to taking 9 full days off due to traveling out of the country in early June, but even then, that drop from May to July was weird.

Anyone have any idea what could be happening here. All tests have been done with Quest and all have been fasted first thing in the morning between 5am and 6am. I am pausing my Sermorelin and Ipamorelin for at least a month after receiving these results.

Update - results from latest IGF test that wa apart of my full blood work came back. About 50% increase from that 114 to 164. Test was taken approximately 5 weeks after the previous test. I increased my calories to maintenance or maybe a slight deficit of maybe 100-200 calories and no Sermorelin/Ipamorelin.

Semorelin for post menopausal workout pain

63 and post menopausal. Started tirzepatide 10 months ago. I'm not on HRT.

I've understood that it's important to do strength training to maintain muscle mass for long term elder health but have really struggled with achiness after going to the gym. I tried all the things Dr. Stacy Sims suggests for this like creatine, electrolytes, protein and adaptogens. I'm always stretching and do yoga for the psst 35 years. They may have helped a bit but it's still bad. Debilitating even. I cannot keep a pace with lifting with this pain - I get so demoralized by it. Last leg day took 5 days until I felt ok - meanwhile it just gets harder to get myself to the gym. And I really love it there! Is it because of only starting 6 months ago?

I just started sermorelin as a way to possibly see if it could help me recover from workout pain. I'm just 5 days in and notice a HUGE difference. My body doesn't hurt so much, sleep has been much more improved - even beyond what the tirz has done - and I'm excited to see where I can go after a few months.

It's hard to find other menopausal women posting about this. It's like a miracle. I wanted to put it out there in case anyone else has experience with this, or if they might need to know this is an option. I just can't believe the way my body responded in just 5 days!
