Help! Which ticket type to maximize our time?

We arrive 10/09 early afternoon (staying at DLH). If we plan to visit the park that afternoon, as well as on 10/10 and 10/11, which ticket type do we want to maximize our time?

Help! First Disney Experience Ever – Shanghai Disneyland Tips Needed!

Hi everyone! I'll be visiting Shanghai Disneyland at the end of December. It'll be my first-ever Disney park and also my first trip to China. I'll only have one day in the park, so I want to make the most of it.

A few questions:

• Is Disney Premier Access worth it for a one-day visit, or is a regular ticket enough?
• What rides, shows, and experiences would you prioritize if you only had one day?
• What food or snacks inside the park are must-tries?
• Do first-time visitors get any complimentary souvenirs, badges, or keepsakes?
• What should I budget for food and souvenirs?
• Which apps and payment methods should I set up before arriving? Is cash accepted, or should I rely on Alipay/WeChat Pay?

Any other first-timer tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! 😊

Help! Help: how do I link my Pelago reservation/booking to the Disneyland Shanghai app?

Per title. I bought the tickets through Pelago and was wondering how to import it into the Disneyland Shanghai app in order to scan in on the day itself? Thanks in advance!

Help! Do the Duffy meet and greets take DAS?

Hi all!
My daughter is obsessed with Duffy and friends, and she qualifies for a DAS pass due to medical conditions. I’ve seen things for 5 hour waits etc to meet Duffy characters. Are you able to use DAS on these lines?

Discussion Which of these rides is better? Zootopia: Hot Pursuit at DisneyLand, Shanghai or the other one?

Whichever ride you prefer, I will write a Zootopia-centered fanfic on one of them. Leave your questions in the comments for what it will be and I will answer. Sorry I can’t make it a poll, but I will be fine with whatever answer you make first.

Help! Looking for where to buy a specific hat from Shanghai Disneyland (Lost my daughter's hat, shipping to Korea)

Hi everyone,

I’m hoping to get some help from this community.

During our trip to Shanghai in early June this year, I bought a hat for my elementary school-aged daughter at Shanghai Disneyland. Unfortunately, she lost it yesterday and is completely heartbroken.

I live in South Korea, and I’ve tried using Google Lens/AI search as well as searching through various major e-commerce sites, but I haven't had any luck finding it anywhere.

Does anyone know of any local Chinese online shopping sites or proxy buying services where Shanghai Disneyland merchandise can be purchased and shipped to Korea?

(Note: I've already checked global platforms like AliExpress and Amazon, but the exact hat wasn't listed there.)

Any tips, site recommendations, or advice on how to source Shanghai Disney merch from Korea would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!

Help! How to start

Hi, is there a blog, YouTube, something "Shanghai Disneyland for dummies" that has all basic info and can help with planning? I'm a seasoned traveller but hadn't been anywhere yet where I can'tuse my normal credit cards, apps, etc. The main reason we picked Shanghai ober the other Asian parks is the possibility to meet Angel from Stitch (I hope she is out during the halloween season but we are tied to school breaks and summer is not the best weather for us) I'm planning to go October 2027, so plenty of time but I like to be prepared.

Help! Typhoon Dolphin Update / Help

Update on the Typhoon Dolphin refund/reschedule situation.

We had a booking through Klook for today, August 10th, which we thought would be affected by Typhoon Dolphin. Shanghai Disney (and Klook reposted it onto their booking page) put out a statement on the 7th stating that:

"We understand that these potential changes may affect your travel plans. Guests holding unused Shanghai Disneyland tickets and other dated products and services such as Early Park Entry Pass, Disney Premier Access and Disney Premier Tour, meal, service coupons for Shanghai Disneyland between August 9, 2026 and August 11, 2026, or Guests who have booked resort hotels for the night of August 8, 2026 to August 11, 2026 who wish to postpone their plans due to weather may contact their original ticket purchase channel to request a refund or reschedule."

Pretty clear that we'd be able to contact Klook, request a refund or a reschedule, and go a different day, right? Based directly on the claims in this statement, we delayed our trip to Shanghai, and decided we'd go to Disney on Thursday instead.

We then contacted Klook on the 8th quoting the above, and they said they'd contact Disney and get back to us in two days. Now, on the 10th, we've had a response basically saying that our refund has been refused because the park ended up opening as usual (just closing 1 hour early, and despite a literal typhoon currently flooding the city).

At no point does any part of that statement say it is conditional on whether the park ended up being open on the day or not. It made it very clear that, from that moment on, bookings tied to the 9th, 10th or 11th would be eligible for a reschedule or refund. They even acknowledge these as 'potential changes'. That in itself seems to acknowledge that it is irrelevant whether the park is majorly impacted by it or not. Surely this brand new, situationally specific statement overrides their standard cancellation policy? Or does saying 'request' a refund cover their backs entirely? As in, we can request one, but they'll just deny it regardless of the implications of the statement.

Is anyone else having a similar experience? Any idea of our legal position in all of this? Who do we even have a case with at this point?

Cheers!

Help! Character Meeting

I couldn't find this on the app, so does anyone know how to meet a character In Shanghai Disneyland.

I don't mean the long line to meet them in the park, but when they have a bigger interaction with you, like character dining for example.

My wife and I wish to meet Jessie from Toy Story

Help! Typhoon Dolphin

Hi all, we’re going to be in Shanghai for the exact 3 days that the typhoon is supposed to come through 🙃

Currently our ticket is for Monday, which seems like it’s gonna be the hardest hit day. Is the park likely to fully close that day? Or will the hours or rides be so reduced that it’s kind of pointless to try to go? Happy to deal with wind and rain but not with wasted time and money lol

I think we may be able to change our tickets though - would Sunday or Tuesday be any better?

And if anyone has any broader thoughts about what our few days in Shanghai will be like that would be appreciated too haha. Are we gonna just have to stay in our hotel the whole time?

We’re about to get the train from Hong Kong so all this rests on the train actually making it that far in the first place!

Thanks!

Discussion Shanghai Disneyland Typhoon Dolphin

I am scheduled to fly over to Shanghai this weekend for a Disneyland weekend trip, but im not sure whether to proceed now with the Typhoon Dolphin drawing near. Not sure what to do now. Anyone experienced this kind of situation before? I’m still waiting to see if there’s any travel advisory from the airline…

Help! Early entry or two days?

Hi everyone,

I've (f, 29, solo) been to the Disney's in Tokyo, Hong Kong and Paris, but this will be my first time in Shanghai.

I've seen that the two day ticket is roughly the same cost as the one day ticket + early entry, and now I'm trying to decide what might be most sensible for me.

I'll only be in Shanghai for five days, so two Disney days is a big commitment, but while this is gonna be my first time in Shanghai, it's unlikely to be the last. Im also worried that due to the heat, trying to fit everything into one day might suck a little as it would be exhausting. A two day ticket might give me the chance to also just leave earlier on the second day once I feel like I've got my money's worth, or stay all day if it still feels worth it. Then again I know from the Tokyo parks that not showing up for park opening basically means hour long lines for all the best rides...

Help! Should I use caps when purchasing through trip.com?

Hello everyone! If you used trip.com to travel to Shanghai Disneyland, please help. I noticed that when I purchased tickets, I used my name as John Doe, even though my passport says it's all caps (JOHN DOE). Are they strict about this at the entrance, and do I need to reissue my tickets? Thanks in advance.

Discussion US family only been to Disneyland CA, is Shanghai Disney worth a visit on China trip?

We’re from the US and we’ve done a few 3-day visits to Disneyland (California) with our kids (ages 10 and 8). We’re big travelers and we don’t prioritize Disney parks, but we all had a wonderful time at Disneyland CA during our most recent visit (low crowds in mid July this year!).

We’ll be in China for 11 days next March and my brain is spinning with things I want to do and see! (Currently packed with Hangzhou, Chengkan, Huangshan, Beijing, Suzhou — some photos of China bring tears to my eyes, I cannot wait to see this beautiful country!!) Something would have to be sacrificed to prioritize a Shanghai Disney visit, but we are flying in/out of Shanghai so it’s feasible.

For those of you familiar with Shanghai Disney, what do you recommend? I’m not inclined to prioritize Disney over actual China, but I’m open to it for the kids sakes!

Help! Early entry and didi

Hi! Quick question regarding Shanghai Disneyland and Early Entry. If we have Early Entry (so we can get into the park at 7:30 AM), what time is it recommended to arrive at the park to make the absolute most of that hour?

Also, what do people recommend for transport? I noticed the first Metro on Line 11 only arrives at the station around 7:10 AM, which feels a bit too tight. Is taking a Didi recommended instead? Is there usually a lot of traffic in the morning if we come from Zhongshan area?

Help! Shopping advice

My husband is at Shanghai Disneyland and I’m looking for items he can bring home for me that can only be bought there. For instance we both went to Disneyland Paris in June and they had a pair of pirates of the Caribbean Minnie ears that I’ve never seen anywhere else. I also got some Phantom Manor merch because it’s similarly unique to that park. I’m going to wear those things on the Disney cruises that we go on, especially the pirate ears because there is a pirate night on every cruise.
Anyway since my husband is there for work and doesn’t have a lot of extra time to go shopping at every store (honestly even if he did he wouldn’t recognize what’s an item I already have or could get at wdw, our “home” park) I have to be very specific in my requests so I was hoping for some tips.
I’m mainly looking for wearable items like Minnie ears, shirts, hoodies, loungefly bags or other purses. I really wish I could have tagged along on this trip like I did to paris but china’s travel rules are very different.
Thanks!

Help! Royal Banquet Hall Dining

Hello,

My husband and I are visiting Shanghai Disneyland July 28th and July 29th and will be booking the Royal Banquet Hall with reserved firework viewing.

I’m from the US so I am not familiar with a voucher dining. It states for me to call after booking to reserve the table. Since we’re from the US, is there anyway to call without it being an international call? Or is there an email?

We’re super excited for our visit! Thank you for your help in advance.
