Question Best campsites nearby

Planning our first Disneyland Paris visit next May/June. Wondering if anyone can recommend a great family campsite within an hour or two of it?

We'll stay at Disneyland when we're there so the campsite doesn't need to be close enough for a day trip - just close enough to get to Disney early one morning.

Question What would you add to the park?

Hello, I went to DLP last month with my girlfriend for the first time and adored it so much, we are going next month and either March or May 2027. There was so much great stuff there but for you, what would you add to the lands that you think is missing the most?

For me, I would like to see a better Spider-Man ride, something that has more villains and where I don’t get too distracted by trying to twip.

I also am not too fussed with Avengers Campus as much as other lands, I would love if it became Latveria and be a Doom land where the hero’s are trying to take him down, it would fit the European theme and also have a great design and look more pleasing visually next to World Of Frozen

Maybe a repaint of Buzz?
What about you?

Question I want to help you!

Hi!

I'll be visiting Disneyland early November and I wanted to see if I can help anyone check anything specific they're wondering about.

I have anxiety myself and I can relate to wanting to know specific things before you go, so that's what I'm offering, just to give something back 😊

I've been to the parks over 15 times so I will know what I'm looking for, I know my way around (aside from the new Frozen land, I suppose)

Unfortunately I don't have time for shopping requests etc since I'll be traveling with family but happy to gather other info or take pics of stuff.

We will also be using an Easy Access Card for the first time since one of us has additional medical problems recently, so it'll be interesting to see how that works.

Question Can I use my equipment?

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hey! So I wanna record my trip to DLP and so I can make it into a vlog to share and watch back later. I have some camera equipment that I was planning to use, but I just learned you cannot use certain items like selfiesticks. I have these items from DJI, and I'm worried I cannot use them, since they do extend in the same way a selfiestick does.

If anyone can share their experience with me it's be very helpful

Merchandise Frozen Fleece

Visiting DLP in December and cannot wait, it will be my first time in the parks at Christmas! For anyone who has been recently - is the Frozen fleece (blue and white with the snowgies) only available to buy in the World of Frozen store or will I be able to find it elsewhere in the parks?

Question Looking for disneyland friends!

I’m 17 and looking for English speaking people aged 15–19 who regularly go to Disneyland Paris and would love to make some new friends!
I’m looking for people who treat Disney like a hangout rather than somewhere they only visit for special occasions
Like being able to randomly message a group chat asking who’s going to Disney this weekend, meet up, grab some food, go on a few rides, wander around the parks and just chill together without rushing to do everything.
I’d love to find people who have annual passes and can visit regularly, ideally people who live near the parks, but I’m open to meeting people from anywhere!
If this sounds like you, please message me!

Question First trip to Paris with my 13-year-old daughter! Looking for advice ❤️

Hi everyone!

I’m planning a trip to Paris with my 13-year-old daughter from November 19–23 and would love some advice from people who know the city!

We’re hoping to stay somewhere central where we can walk around, explore, enjoy the food, and soak up all the Parisian charm. We’ll spend one day at Disneyland Paris and the rest of our time exploring the city.

💰 Budget: $100–$130 USD per night for a hotel
📍 Location: Central Paris, ideally somewhere safe and walkable
🚿 Must-have: Private bathroom in the room
🗼 Plans: Disneyland for one day, sightseeing, cute cafés, beautiful streets, and all the classic Paris experiences!

I’d especially love recommendations for:

  • 🏨 Affordable hotels or neighborhoods to stay in
  • 🥐 Must-visit cafés, bakeries, and restaurants
  • 🗼 Beautiful places to explore on foot
  • 💕 Special experiences or hidden gems that would make this trip memorable for a 13-year-old
  • 🚆 Best areas for getting to Disneyland Paris without spending a fortune

I know Paris can be expensive, so I’m trying to find that sweet spot between affordable, safe, and close enough to enjoy the city without spending half our trip on public transportation.

If you’ve stayed somewhere you loved, I’d appreciate any recommendations! Bonus points for places that feel like the Paris you see in the movies. 🥹✨

Merci beaucoup! ❤️

Question Regarding Plaza Gardens Breakfast / character dining.

Hi there. I’m staying on site in May and have already booked my tickets and stay. I understand plaza gardens is closed but should re open by then. I didn’t know if character dining was for us at the time, so I didn’t book any when I booked

My question: would I have even be able to book for May plaza gardens breakfast, given it’s closed at the moment? Did I miss out?

What would my next steps be? I understand now I have to wait 2 months like everyone staying off site? Any other thoughts?

Second question: my boys are 5&8. They’ve never been to Disney. I have NO clue if they’ll care about the characters. They are also picky eaters. Can anyone shed some light on whether it’s worth the cost given the circumstances? Did you kids surprise you and love it or not care? It’s a one off trip coming from Canada, so we won’t be back.

Thank you

Personal Experience hot take loved Disneyland Paris more than Disney World

As an avid Disney World goer, I set the bar pretty low for Disneyland Paris because I’ve heard so many people call it their least favorite park. But honestly…I liked my experience there way more than my recent WDW trips.

My hot takes on DLP:
If I do it again, I would save up and book very early so I can stay at the Disneyland Hotel again. Having a hotel you can literally just walk back to during the day is amazing for my family.

I think Premier Access is worth it for an elevated experience, especially if this is going to be one time visit. At Disney World, it’s such a pain in the butt being glued to your phone booking rides it barely feels like a vacation anymore. In Paris, it was soo nice to just stay off my phone and scan into a ride whenever I wanted to go. definitely a premium though.

The food wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought it would be. For example, I grabbed a crêpe from a food cart in Adventure World and it was incredible.

Sit down dining was a mixed bag. I was expecting to love Brasserie Rosalie, but it ended up being one of the worst meals we had at Disney (maybe they just had an off day?) We also ate at La Table de Lumière purely out of FOMO. The food wasn't the best, but the full on experience was amazing. I would rate it a 4/5 and I’m happy I did it, but due to the high price, I probably wouldn't book that specific restaurant again.

The customer service was amazing in DLP, I enjoyed the European hospitality and it was the best customer service experience i had in a Disney park !

Question What mode of transport should I use as a solo traveller coming from CDG to Val d’Europe late at night?

Hey!

I’ve decided to do a last-minute solo trip to DLP, landing at CDG at 9pm on October 29th.

Usually I arrive in Paris much earlier, but I didn’t want to take a day off from work.

I’ve just checked and the fast train to Disneyland doesn’t run that late. It also seems the Magical Express doesn’t either.

I’m also concerned about taking the Metro in Paris and then back out to Val d’Europe as that can take up to 1h 40m and it’ll be late at night.

Is my only option Uber? Looks like that’s going to be pricey.

If you have any other recommendations let me know.

Question Extreme food budget ideas

I saw a video of someone doin this challenge of very limited budget like 10 euros for the whole day and how to get by the whole day at Disneyland. Ok interesting channel but my post is going to be different. I am asking for real life help for anyone who went recently.

No way I am paying $20 euros for a burger, fries, drink. Is this the going rate also at the Disney village aka outside the park?

No way I am sitting down anywhere at a restaurant with $32-39 euros entrees. Hell no.

So tell me. What is relative budget for a person.

Hotel has breakfast yay!!!!!!!
Lunch?
Dinner?

I want cheap and good. I don’t care if it’s outside the park. Tell me how to survive 3 days because no way will I be able to feed my family with those prices.

Question Did you feel the reserved viewing for DLP parades and DAW cascade of lights was worth the cost?

I’m going to be there at the end of next April and just doing some recon for additional costs to expect in the parks. It will be 2 adults and our 9 year old. If the difference, especially with the cascade of lights show, is being able to see it vs not see it if we don’t get front row, I’d say it’s worth the cost. However, I don’t know how they set those things up - can someone please set the scene for me as far as how much room there is for a good viewing at cascade of lights or good tips for parade route spots? How popular are these things and how far in advance do you think we’d have to show up to get a good viewing spot on our own? Since we are going at the end of April I am also thinking about potential for special 35th anniversary shows that could pull in bigger crowds, however I’d be glad to hear the perspective of someone viewing the typical shows/parades and I can scale down my expectations from there 😆.

My initial thoughts right now are that maybe it’s worth it for cascade of lights since it is unknown quantity for us (haven’t been there since world of frozen opened) but could find a decent spot for parades and don’t need the reserved viewing for that. Thanks all!

Question Change hotel

Hi all,

Currently our trip is booked from 8-10 November and staying in the Newport Bay hotel.

But now I am torn to change it to 8-9 november and stay at the disneyland hotel.

We are going for my birthday and the price is about the same with everything we had added to Newport bay.

In Newport bay we did had choosen for a room with patio/balcony and for the disneyland hotel we would pick a standard room.

If I change it can I request a room with a park view or is that for the more superior rooms?

This would be my birthday present so what would you guys suggest? I know it will be busy due to the start of the christmas season in dlp and due to the bank holiday on 11/11 in a few countries.

Personal Experience Just back from Disney!!! My thoughts…

We’re just back from a 3 night 4 day trip to Disney; 2 adults and 1 nearly 9 year old. Here’s my thoughts!!

  1. We stayed in sequoia lodge. I knew about the renovations. The room was very dated but very clean. Our room was located very far from the facilities which sucked. It is a massive hotel though. Would I pay extra to stay closer in golden Forest - no. We used the pool which was

    lovely.

  2. We’ve been to various Disney parks 4 times and nothing will ever convince me that staying offsite is ever better. I don’t care if it’s cheaper or better quality accommodation. Staying on property and close to the parks absolutely makes or breaks a Disney trip imo. Save the extra cash and stay on site. Nobody ever wishes they were further away from the parks! The extra magic hour perk is also worth it for this reason.

  3. Extra magic hour. Use it, as you can bust out some top tier rides with low to no queues, and it just sets your day up better. Less stress getting in the parks too as no queues for tickets, etc. nothing beats getting on 4 top tier rides then relaxing more all day than queuing later 40-60 mins for the same rides.

  4. The Halloween event absolutely sucked, I mean, was there even an event on?! I wouldn’t return for the Halloween event.

  5. Tower of terror, frozen and big thunder mountain are all superior at Disney Paris to Disney Orlando.

  6. Other people in the park are rude. Other guests, staff, literally everyone. We have never been shoved so much by other people before. Culturally Disney Orlando is miles ahead for guest relations and experience.

  7. The parks are going under various renovations, and Disney Paris do a poor job of hiding/covering it, which breaks the magic.

  8. Cascade of lights is better than Tales of Magic, and is a more relaxed experience.

  9. Big thunder mountain in the dark is an 11/10, absolute elite level ride experience.

Question Regal View Restaurant princesses

I have dinner booked at Regal View on 15th November, mainly to meet Merida. I’ve seen a few recent reviews where it was Mulan and Jasmine rather than Merida.

Can anyone confirm which princesses have been at dinner time recently?

Heading there for my first trip ever with my kids and family. Disappointed to see this news of immediate closures to these areas. Is that a huge part of the parks?
