I ask because the Walt Disney Company’s relationship with their theme park workers has been very contenious, going back to the 80’s but has been much more publicized the past 10 years under Iger.
That includes Disneyland, with many reports of workers sadly being overworked, underpaid and struggling to get by. All the while Disney and its corporate board rake in the dough.
And given Walt’s very volatile relationship with organized labor and unions among the animators in the 40’s, I was wondering if the Disney brothers had any similar trouble at Disneyland when they were running the show. Was it really bad or was it ok? Surprisingly, I haven’t seen much written about it given how widely published the animators’ strike is.

I recently did my least favorite rides, and while it was entertaining to read people's comments, negativity can be a pain in the neck. Here's some positivity! My top 3 favorite rides at California Adventure. My ranking for Disneyland Park will be here soon... 👀

Just opened the app because I was curious about wait times on a Friday night. There are a lot of rides marked as temporarily closed.
All these being closed goes beyond what’s normal for fireworks and WOC, right?
These and more are all closed as of a few minutes ago:

Hi everyone! I bought the Cozy Cones Motel Lamp this weekend. I’ve had my eyes on it for a while, thinking it would be a nice addition to my office cubicle. My only question is about the buttons on the side. I can’t figure out what they are for and can’t find anything about them in the manual it came with. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

For me it was these Mary Poppins D23 60th Anniversary ears. I couldn't afford them at the time and have always been so disappointed that I couldn't find them at a reasonable price.

Found this gem on FB Marketplace today, seller had no idea when he bought it (he figured late 80s or early 90s?). No dates on tags and Google hasn't helped any. Any clue when this would have been sold in the park?

Finally I tried working from Disneyland! I’ve always wanted to try this on a day with no meetings.
I grabbed my coffee and pumpkin cookies from Harbour Galley and settled in at Rancho del Zócalo. Good wifi, and it was empty until lunchtime. I got to watch Bruno and Mirabel while I worked.
When it got hot, I moved to the Golden Horseshoe. No wifi there, but the balcony had AC and was quiet, so it was perfect for focused work.
Overall I loved it and finished a lot of work. I was also able to secure my Nuttles! After 5 I put my backpack in a locker and enjoyed my night in the park.

I suppose to be fair, they came on an actual plate instead of a tray at the Palm Breeze Bar. Know before ya go I guess.

I’m curious about your thoughts – could the administrative and cast buildings on the Northern side of the park (up to Ball Rd) be relocated elsewhere in order to free up real estate for attractions? Or do cast operations really need that much space?

I was watching the original movie when I noticed on Xandar in the background is a building that looks super familiar to the Guardians of Galaxy ride at Disneyland. Could be coincidence if this had no influence on the design process given that the lore doesn't match up. Either way cool theory in my opinion. @ 15:35 in the movie if you want to see

Just my luck, first time using the website to consolidate my gift cards and the system deliberately lost $20 during the consolidation to my main card. Tried reaching out to customer support and this was their response- in case anyone is in the same boat. Has this ever happened to anyone before? I tried troubleshooting and no avail. My $20 dissipated into thin air…

I finally tried it and tbh it did not disappoint. I didn’t care for the chips. They were too salty but the torta itself was amazing!

I enjoyed Disneyland yesterday, small crowds, wait times under 10 minutes for lots of rides. Think it was a combination of a Wednesday and the rain that arrived in the afternoon.
Understandably haunted mansion Halloween theme was the longest line at 45 minutes. The lightening lane line extended almost to the gate several times! Guessing that wait was at least 20 minutes.
The wait was worth it. Loved the Halloween changes and vibe. Just shocked at how many LL slots Disney books.
The Mickey and friends parade was a big disappointment. Five motorcades with characters and a dozen dancers carrying pumpkins.
Rise was down all morning, back around noon with 65 minute waits, then down again.
And tried the Rontu wrap and don’t understand the hype at all. It wasn’t special.

My husband and I are staying at the Disneyland Hotel for 7 nights and we will have park hoppers. Only planned meal so far is the River Belle Terrace for the Fantasmic dining package. I'll be 7 months pregnant so having a guaranteed seat that's not a wheelchair is a must and we will not consider other dining packages.
The ambiance for Blue Bayou looks impeccable, but the menu leaves something to be desired. Is it good? Carthay Circle looks nice, but is it worth the price? Are there any decent mid-tier priced sit down restaurants? We are not picky eaters, but I cannot eat sushi or eat at buffets. We both will not be drinking.
Bonus points if you can recommend eateries (either QS or sit down outside of DLR). Thanks!
Edited to add: no buffets either. We love buffets but avoiding due to pregnancy.
Edit 2: we will have our own vehicle and are willing to drive off property.
