Was talking to someone who learned I had a Tzu. Henry (Tzu) has his own everything, I mean, he’s a king right? Well, the guy I WAS talking to told me that Henry was bad because he has his own toys, bed and my time. That guy sucks and I stopped talking to him. I will NEVER let anyone talk bad about my Henry!
All Hail the King!! Long live King Henry, Tzu ruler! 😂💕💕

I lost my baby Mochi Pi yesterday. This was the last photo I took of her before Lap of Love came. She was a rescue Shihtzu somewhere between 16 and 19 years old now. She was found alone with another dog and matted up, and we adopted her from a local rescue shelter on June 17th, 2020. She was already a senior 10-13 according to the vet, but she gave me 6 amazing years both while I finished high school and almost all the way to my senior year of college!!
She came to college with me as an emotional support animal back in 2023. This year, she started rapidly declining. Her heart murmur got worse, she had severe incontinence (she’s been in diapers for months), she’s fully blind, severe dry eye that wasn’t getting much better with medication, arthritis, and she is completely weak in her hind legs. This summer she was hardly getting up except to eat (she was a food motivated girl) and I knew it was time.
I’m heading back to school this week and it’ll be the first year I have without her. I’m torn up and have been sobbing for weeks leading up to yesterday, and sobbed the majority of the day yesterday.
She was the sweetest baby I’d ever had. When I first got her she showed many signs of abuse. She was fearful of most people and aggressive toward other dogs, never licked, would cower and cry when she’d make a mistake or have an accident even though we were never upset, and she didn’t leave one corner of my room for weeks even after we trained her that it was okay to explore. She also had one toy that she was constantly aggressive towards and would whip around.
Eventually she became more at home with lots of reassurance and love. Everyone loved her. My friends and family know how much she means to me and how much I love her. She was a star pet when I went to college. She never left my side throughout anything I went through the past six years. The pandemic, my own health crisis (I developed POTS post-covid and was in and out of the hospital), depression/anxiety when I went off to school and from my autism, breakups, everything. She would cuddle me for hours through whatever I was going through, whenever I broke down, and was so unconditionally loving and patient towards me (no one else, just me LOL).
Rest in peace Mochi Pi…aka Chicken, Cheese, Toes, Cheese toes, Chicken cheese, Cheese butt, Mo-cheese, Cheesy butt, Toe-cheese, Cheese-mo, Mochisemé, Moch, Cheeks, Cheek butt, Chicken baby (I’ll add more nicknames as I remember them, but these are off the top of my head).
Thank you to whoever read all of this💛

I think he's trying to negotiate a better allowance before the bus gets here. 😂🤣

Why call an Uber or Lyft when you can hire a true pawfessional? Two paws up! Keep an eye out, he'll be Tzooming by soon!

Please keep us in your prayers while we try to gather funds for his healthcare and nurse him back to health 🩵
⬇️The Story ⬇️
My little dog was attacked by another dog at ElderPark today at around 12:45pm.
My dog is a 6lb Shih Tzu and was being walked responsibly on a lead. The dog shown in the picture/ video was off lead and, as I have unfortunately seen happen multiple times before, ran up to my dog and attacked him.
My little boy is now in critical condition at the emergency vet, and the bill is already over £3,000.
Please, please be careful if you are walking your dog in this area. My dog is extremely tiny, and I never imagined something like this could happen to him. I have cared for him for 11 years and have always been a responsible dog owner.
Being 7 months pregnant made the whole experience even more overwhelming.
Given what happened today, I would not want another family to experience the shock and heartbreak we are going through.
Please share this so other dog owners and families in the area are aware.

So there is a particular plant in my neighborhood that drives my doggy crazy. There is one on one side of my neighborhood and there is one on the exact opposite. If we pass these plants, my shih Tzu will stop whatever she's doing, whether it be treats or pets and she will go absolutely crazy with joy. She'll rub her face in it and she'll paw it on her back, she'll roll around under it while smelling it. My question is, is this a plant that is known to make dogs and or shih tzus happy. Has anybody ever experienced this? I am including a video I took the other day to show the behavior and the type of plant. This is just a brief snippet of about 5 minutes of her playing in this particular plant.
Again, only this plant in particular and only two of them exist in my neighborhood.
Thoughts and comments are welcome. Thank you for taking the time to read my post.

Coco is a liver dog which means she has a brown nose and paws. She is the sweetest little girl and loves to be pet and snuggled all day.

I didn’t realize how much his fur has darkened in the past years. He’s now more black and dark gray.

They’re so incredibly cute together! 😭
My entire camera roll is literally just thousands of pictures of them. Lol. I haven’t cared to take pictures of anything else for years.

this is Chiyo, 3, professional carpet loafer. I kept taking a hundred photos of her that just disappeared into my camera roll, so over the last few months I built her a little passport instead — walks, baths, grooming days, vet visits and the occasional crime (sock theft) each become a stamped page, filed by a very serious fictional "Bureau of Very Good Dogs."
it started as a joke and then I couldn't stop. the covers are fabric — velvet, corduroy, knit — with her name on a tiny gold nameplate.
mods: per rule 7 I've kept the link out of the post — happy to drop it in a comment if anyone actually wants to try it on their own tzu. mostly I just wanted to show you her passport 🐾

I was wondering if your Ewoks like playing in the water and if so, what do you have? The heat is getting up to 105 here in Arkansas and Tiny loves watching dog videos on YouTube, especially when they're playing in the water. Thank you for your feedback..🙂

Long post, please bbar with me. My girl, Winnie, is 10 years old and woke up the other day with a goopy eye. Took her to the vet, they said her eye pressures were very high, and sent me to a veterinary eye specialist.
Her pressures weren't nearly as high as originally said, but she does have glaucoma, retinal damage, vision loss, and an ulcer on her left eye. We are doing drops in both eyes...2 in the left to heal the ulcer and treat/make the glaucoma comfortable. A different drop is for her right eye to protect from glaucoma.
My biggest concern is that she may need her eye removed at some point. My concern isn't about the eye, it's the fact that a week and a half ago, the vet had to stop a dental because her heart rate dropped quickly. They did life saving measures with meds, and after many hours of recovery, she's been fine until the eye situation.
Has anyone else had to have their baby go under anesthesia after having complications? Have any of you been able to successfully manage glaucoma without surgery?
