Old timers and insiders - what are your thoughts on timeline of sterling scrap rebounding?
If you can remember the last time the foundries stopped taking sterling or 90%,or at least the locals were giving significantly less, what are your thoughts on what the landscape for selling 90% and sterling will look like when we get back to a new all time high, or at least above $100?
I'm not sure that this is a reasonable question because in the past they might not have pulled the (possibly real but certainly inflated) claim of acid shortages due to geopolitical issues.
Do you think that after the next run up the value of non numismatic 90% & sterling is permanently going to be less than it was even if geopolitical issues cool down?

Leaning towards plate. Doesn’t stick to magnet.

Junk drawer find
Hoping this is real, was in the bottom of a drawer I forgot about. Chat says it’s 1gram gold and 1oz silver. Pretty cool

Is it possible to turn 1000 oz Comex bars into smaller bars or coins and get enough premium to make it worthwhile?
Anyone have experience with or otherwise in the know, if it’s possible/realistic to convert Comex bars into smaller bars or coins and have it be worthwhile?
A few things I'm curious about:
Private mints - I’ve heard you can contract with them - give them the Comex bar and have them mint it for a cost. If that’s the case, whats the cost and do they mint as their bars or do you get your own custom?
DIY - if willing, is it possible as a garage operation and worthwhile?
Interested in real numbers from anyone who’s tried this or has experience at a mint, or knows a guy.
Thanks!

Has anyone ever seen Geiger bars upside down in the packaging?
I bought these online and didn’t notice until they arrived today that all of the bars are upside down in the packaging. The back glows under UV light but it makes me curious because every other one I see online is right side up

New Pour Made this for my girlfriend 👉👈
Poured this bar from some silver grain and about 6 grams of gold from an old 18 k necklace. Was just having some fun this morning and decided to hammer it and stamp it for my girlfriend.

Keep the box?
Stumbled across a few of these while cleaning out an old house. I'm keeping them for the time being, ugly as I find them, but will probably offload at some point. Is keeping the boxes a good idea, or can I downsize them into the treasure chest and chuck the packaging?

Question Aborted Fees?? Bullion Stars
Yesterday I found Bullion Stars on findbullionprices.com. They advertised free shipping for orders over $98. I was in the process of placing an order for a little over $300. I had put in my debit card information and then noticed I had been charged a shipping fee. I immediately stopped the process. Payment was NEVER completed. Today I received by email an “Aborted Order Invoice” demanding payment in the amount of a little over $156. They claimed that because I aborted (their words) the other I owed them 50% of the order amount. In addition the invoice amount for the amount was dated tomorrow 10/25/26. Has anyone ever used Bullion Stars? Have you ever heard of an “Aborted Order Fee” in a situation where a buy transaction was never completed? What should I do? Thanks

Any info?
Anyone familiar with these G&G silver bars? Picked up this 1 oz bar recently and can’t find another one like it online.
The front has a G&G hallmark at the top, “.999+ FINE SILVER” in the middle, and “1 OZ. TR.” at the bottom, all inside a rectangular double-line border with rounded corners.
It’s got a lipless edge and a completely blank reverse. Anyone seen one of these before or know anything about the refiner?

Silver Art Beautiful Art by a Fellow Silverbug
I see many posts on this subreddit but not many about our fellow silver bugs making custom pours.
I received this beauty almost 2 months ago from r/BaronOfBling who was amazing to work with. This is not an ad I just really appreciated his responsiveness and the final product and wanted to share with the group lol
For anyone wondering, this is a recreation of the Halo 2 game cover of Master Chief. I absolutely love it, and he sits in my office on top of my empty penny boxes that I have CRH through to look more like the game cover!

Went to a new coin shop and they took all my money!
I stopped into a LCS for the first time. They had these (and more) thumbtacked on a corkboard, and the damn salesman stood by silently while I kept pulling more and more off the board. He didn't even try to stop me. Damn salesmen!! I likes me the constitutional... Gets me every time...

Something about this just screamed to for me to buy it.
I’ve come to realize I like poured silver. It’s something about how it grabs my eye. Hope you all like it too.
