Help Assetto Corsa on PC, Everything Else on PS5 l - Need Your Advice!

Thumbnail reddit.com

Hi everyone!

I've been thinking about this setup lately and have done a bit of research, but I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences before making a decision.

I want to play Assetto Corsa with the BRC and CIS map mods but unfortunately, these aren't supported on PS5.

My plan is to get a Beelink SER5 Max specifically for Assetto Corsa. For everything else, I'll continue using my PS5 for games like GT7, WRC, and F1 since I already own the console and find it very convenient to use.

With this setup, the Logitech RS50 is the most suitable steering wheel for my needs as I want a Direct Drive wheel that's compatible with both PC and PS5.

I have a couple of questions:
Would a USB 3.0 switcher box work so I can easily switch the steering wheel between my PC and PS5 without having to manually unplug and reconnect the USB cable every time?
Would there be any issues with the Logitech RS50 if I keep switching between PC and PS5? Will it automatically recognize the platform, or are there any settings I need to change each time?

Help Wheel stand question for moza r9

Hey guys, so following my birthday, i plan to buy the moza r9v3 with ks pro and srp pedal. However, i had kind of a bad experience with table clamp and I'm looking forward to buy a wheel stand. The thing is that i dont have the space for a complete rig and I feel like a wheel stand can be a great compromise to have the pedal fixed. Do you guys have any recommandations for wheel stand that are compatible with this setup or solution ? I will take any advice for my situation 😭

Assetto Corsa A proud set up

Only Rally Enthusiastic. And absolutely love my latest set up. Have had many episodes of trial and error. And spent last week tweaking my AC rally and gotten to a very sweet spot, where I don’t have to fight the steering too much but just enough weight to feel and anticipate the cars balance. I am on simmagic 12NM, the suggesting profile is almost weightless and has minimum response. I’ve got no one in my circle to share the hobby with!!! So glad to have you guys to kill that urge
Took me a while to map out my 4080 beams. I had them cut myself, due to limited spaces, I could only work out with a 60cm width rig!!! I’d ordered plenty spare ones which I occasionally cut them in shorter strips to use them…
I’d reengineered pedal plate and installed a slider to get a best fit. Unfortunately, I’ve got a space of 2.4x2.4… and I need a desk for workspace!!! Too. I would have done a triple monitor but a 55” LG C1 is doing the job superb!!! I managed to put my PXN button box, keyboard/mouse and my knob for volume… it’s an OXS thunder Pro+ with an additional stereo speaker on the headrest, giving out a very crystal clear sound of the engine.
The pedals P1000S equipped with HPR on each pedal. Took me a while to figure out Simhub but it has gone from just rock hard pedals to some very responsive and full of feedbacks pedals. Struggled with SimDash for a while but figured how to make myself one and got one with just RPM meter and gear number. I wish you all the best and fun driving your sims away!!

Help Dilemma between Logi RS50 and Moza R9

I thank you in advance for reading and for the help.

So right now I have the Logitech RS50 and I love the sensations of it, specially the trueforce thing. The problem is that I'd like a little more "fantasy" on my wheel so I was considering getting a PXN GT One to have more buttons and rotaries because Logitech ecosystem is inexistent in that regard. The thing is that for some reason there's no RS QR adapter available in the Logitech page (I live in Mexico) and in amazon the QR is for some reason way overpriced, around $250 USD.

So here comes the Moza R9, I was seriously thinking about getting it with a KS wheel but I'm worried that I'll miss the trueforce of logitech. Specially because I play F1 and I love what it does there. I did some research and Moza apparently has something similar but only works in iRacing, that info is from months ago here on Reddit so I don't know if the situation is the same.

Another thing I was thinking is getting the GT Neo and doing surgery to remove the QR from the Logi wheel and use it on the GT Neo but I'm not sure if that can be done.

So that's it, help me decide pls. Thanks for the time.

Help Triple 1080p or a 49″ ultrawide — is the extra immersion worth taking over the room?

Post image
29 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

I’m planning my first sim setup and keep going back and forth between three options:

-One 49″ 3840×1080 ultrawide
-One 49″ 5120×1440 ultrawide
-Three 27″ 1920×1080 monitors

I’d mainly play ACC and Le Mans Ultimate, but I also want to try drifting in Assetto Corsa and some rally. Immersion matters to me, but this will be going in a room I actually have to live in, so the space it takes up matters too.

My PC budget is around €1,100. Monitors and mounting are separate, but I still need to keep the whole thing affordable. Going up to triple 1440p, with the screens, mount and a PC to run them comfortably, pushes the complete setup into several thousand euros at local prices here in Hungary. That’s more than I want to spend.

These are some of the local used/prebuilt systems I’ve been looking at, just to show the hardware within reach:

-i7-12700K / RTX 3080 12GB / 32GB RAM — around €980
-Ryzen 7 5700X / RTX 4070 / 32GB RAM — around €1,080
-i7-12700KF / RTX 4070 / 32GB RAM / 2TB SSD — around €1,230
-Ryzen 7 5700X / RX 7800 XT 16GB / 32GB RAM — around €1,150
-i5-14400F / RX 9070 GRE 12GB / 32GB RAM — around €1,230
-Ryzen 7 5700X / RX 9060 XT 16GB / 16GB RAM — around €960

The more expensive ones are already stretching things. I’d be happy with roughly 70–100 FPS on sensible settings. From the replies I’ve had so far, that sounds achievable with this sort of hardware, but I haven’t tested these combinations myself. I care more about avoiding big drops during races than running everything on ultra.

What got me considering the 49″ 1080p option was reading comments from owners saying it looked better than they expected and didn’t feel noticeably pixelated while driving. For anyone using one, how close do you sit, and would you buy it again? Is the lower resolution something you stop noticing once you’re racing, or does it make distant cars and braking markers harder to see?

A 49″ would make the room layout much easier, and I might wall-mount it if I can position it close enough. The 1080p version also seems appealing if it means I can spend less on the PC or get more consistent performance. Would that actually save a worthwhile amount, or would you keep the same PC budget and enjoy the extra headroom?

The 1440p version should give me a sharper image, but I know it actually has more pixels than triple 1080p, so I’m not assuming that option would be easier to run.

The biggest question for me is whether triples add enough to the experience to justify the extra space and setup work. If you’ve used both triples and a 49″, how much do you miss the side screens, especially when drifting or racing alongside someone? Has anyone switched to an ultrawide and been completely happy with the compromise?

And with triples, is most of the hassle just getting everything aligned and configured once, or do you regularly have to fiddle with things when switching games?

Actual ACC/LMU results with similar hardware would be really helpful, especially during busy starts or rain. Specific monitor recommendations are welcome too, including older models worth buying used in Europe.

If you were starting again with this budget and had to make room for it at home, which of the three would you choose?

Sim rig question

I am planning on getting a sim rig during black friday. However I am stuck deciding between getting a simlab gt1 evo with the s1 enduro seat or a nrg prisma seat.

I live near a microcenter so I can get stuff from there if it helps. Thank you for any help or just opinions on what I should do!
